@poyo_pie that's another thing. The collecting in that game is no fun and all you're collecting is for cosmetics.
Even if I would complete that game, it would never return to it, I think.
So I give it back.

@poyo_pie yeah absolutely. There were some short moments I enjoyed. But overall it's not satisfying playing it. I also heard from others in Germany, that they feel the same about Bananza.

@SirLink yeah, technically it looks awesome. That's true. Thanks for letting me know, that it gets stronger later. But after about 5h playtime, I don't want to go on anymore.

DK Bananza is so disappointing. My biggest disappointment on Switch 2 so far.
It's just a repetitive game with no real Donkey Kong feeling anywhere.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Switch 2 Edition and Sonic X Shadow Generations are my highlights so far, followed by Mario Kart World.

But hey, I played Metroid Prime 4 at Gamescom and it was amazing. So I guess, Bananza will be forgotten fast soon.

@NintendoWife because I had this on XBox and also completed it. After completing it, I sold it.
A lot of the time playing this felt like lost lifetime. I still don't understand these high ratings everywhere.
I expected a AAA adventure game and got a slow paced walk around game with fetch quests, collecting items and stuff. Combat felt really stiff and the whole gameplay felt like a bad Wolfenstein attempt in a wrong game. 3 of 6 chapters really sucked lot. The stealth gameplay felt out of place. It had good moments, but not enough.

@NintendoWife a good example why high scores means nothing.
Most gamers (at least on XBox) didn't even complete the Vatikan chapter and there's a reason. This is a bland, boring game.

Should be called Indiana Barebones: The small circle of joy.
It seems a lot of people really believe they are getting a great game here but it isn't.

Not that special. I chose the Sonic Pac-man collab.
Indiana Jones is overrated, completed it already on Xbox and wasted a lot of time.
Cronos could be nice, but I wouldn't buy it on Switch 2.

@HammerKirby yeah, you're right with that. And it's sad that Shadow Generations is just a small game inside Sonic Generations.
I really hope they step up with this gameplay in the future.

@tatanga I tried a demo of that game. But wasn't that convinced.

@WhiteTrashGuy Mania was the way better game. Superstars was so uninspired and boring.
But for my taste, I'm not that interesting in these 2D games anymore. I would love another Sonic Adventure game. And I'm also full of these half autopilot Sonic 3D games. Where it's often enough to hold the stick upwards.
I want sharper gameplay like in Sonic Adventure 2.

I do like it a bit more in the meantime than at the beginning. It really has its nice moments. But I still think it's overrated.
A bit too much of collecting stuff, Mario Odyssee was the better game to me.
But Bananza has its charm and the graphics look awesome.

@Gamer83 does DK Bananza get more interesting with time?
I'm not that far yet, maybe 3 hours. I think it's a bit boring from the stuff, I'm actually doing in the game.

No fitting vote for me. I never played it and I don't care about it.
I only played Paper Mario on Gamecube for some hours and the same with Paper Mario on Wii.
Both were very boring to me and so this series died for me. I prefer Mario & Luigi.

I tried it. Street Fighter Alpha 3 has the new characters and the balancing seems to be actually better now.
But on the downside, i had some serious Framerate issues with that game.

Nice, I hope that Alpha 3 is balanced after that update.

Keeping all these games and collecting is indeed the biggest problem.
Some weeks ago, I also took like 1/3 of my collection to ebay.
As you say, time is so short. I'm turning 40 next year and my mind is telling me different things now than like 10 years ago.
I'm still kinda addicted to gaming and collecting. But I envy those people, who don't collect and just buy what they want to play and than sell it again.
Family time, health and vacation is way more important than a gaming collection.

@Yoshi3 I think Tatsunoko is very overrated.
I'm fine with these collections which are available now.
I would be happy for more from SEGA. Like a new collection with Crazy Taxi 1 and 2(with original soundtracks) or a remastered collection with Sonic Adventure 1 and 2.
The Dreamcast had a lot of nice games which could be available on Switch 2.

And of course... A new 1080 Snowboarding and Wave Race from Nintendo... Dreams are for free😁

@Medic_alert thank you for your advice. Don't get me wrong, I'm not angry about my family. It's just sometimes making me a bit angry, that time is so short.
But you're absolutely right. It's all not that important, but it's still something that makes me happy. And usually, I try not to play too many games at once, so I'm completing more games.
And had a bit time with Tears of the Kingdom Switch 2 Edition, which felt really good.

I don't know. I'm struggling at the moment what to play.
In general, I'm into Ai The Somnium Files right now, which I don't party yet nearly as much as the ratings of that game suggested.
Also I'm kind in the middle of Soul Reaver 1, which is a great game. But also I stopped it for the moment.
Than I still don't have 100% in Pikmin 4, which I absolutely hate right now. I already sunk over 40h into that overrated piece of *****. I have to do that Olimar story to get the violet plant to get enough strong Pikmin for that last treasure and this game is so annoying in the meantime, that I have huge issues firing it up.
I'm a bit lost right now and there's nothing in gaming I really enjoy.
Maybe that's also a reaction of the little time I get for games right now. I love my wife and my little son. But I had so little time for gaming in the last weeks, that there are point where it makes me angry.

@JohnnyMind you should visit that room if time and mind from Dragon Ball Z for all your gaming plans.

I did not have a great time with Bananza. I returned it.

Sounds ok, but won't fix the main issue, that it's not a much fun as MK8 Deluxe.
Some tracks are really a bit boring.

Sounds ridiculous. I don't see a reason why it's not hitting 60fps on Switch 1.

Ok, elsewhere I read, that the upgrade is a bit disappointing. And that the base get didn't get any improvement is really lame.
But yeah, here at NL it gets a 9, why not...

I really like it so far. But I'm gonna wait for the summer patch.
