The Switch 2 update is awesome.
I also have the feeling, this game is better balanced in the meantime. I didn't like it online the first years.

@Kilroy ok, nice to hear. Even if I liked those games and they technically brilliant. There always was that "it's not F-Zero" feeling.

Something holds me off buying this. Even if I enjoyed the game on Wii U and Switch 1 and it's only 15 bucks. I'm not that interested.

@Kazman2007 yeah, I don't like the modern battle modes. Maps too big and too many players.
The old 4 player concept on small maps was way more fun.

@KociolekDoSyta well, at least Switch 1 has a cartridge. I would love to get it for Switch 2. But the code in a box ***** turns me off. + there's no D-Pad joy con available on Switch 2 yet, which is absolutely a must for this game in handheld mode.

@Toastmaster with "getting" you mean renting it.
I bet Iron Galaxy is the next studio which will be cut off thanks to Game Pass and Microsofts super ideas.

@Sambuc oh really? 🙁 That doesn't sound good. I hope it's not a big difference. I would be interested in the Switch 2 version.

I'm so in love with the Switch 2 version of Sonic X Shadow Generations. It's even better than on Series X because the Switch 2 doesn't have these little bug issues. It looks so great and plays well, no matter if played on the big screen or handheld. It's my definitive version of that game.

@OrtadragoonX I was shocked, when I played Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper from New Capcom Fighting Collection 2. It's so badly balanced, some move are way too weak, while others are too strong. Hit detection and fairness isn't strong in some of the old games.
But I'm surprised how much I enjoy Plasma Sword(Star Gladiator 2). It's not perfect, but it's really playable great even today.

@MyMemory for someone who doesn't care, you spent a lot time writing and explaining to me.

@Djreisat yeah, SF4 was excellent. I sunk a lot of hours into it.

@MyMemory I think a lot of older fighting games didn't age too well. I recognized this with some games from the Capcom Fighting collections.
And i agree, that Street Fighter 2 is still kinda worthwile even today. But Street Fighter 6 is in a different league. There's a reason, SF6 is a tournament game.
The effort Capcom has put into hit detection, animations, visual presentation and stuff is just brilliant.
Saying that this is a "dumb" game, I'm pretty convinced you never played it yourself so far.

I love it. It looks and feels great. I like that I can use other controllers. The menu looks a bit better and offers new options, but it's also familiar.
Mario Kart World, Tears of the Kingdom and Sonic X Shadow Generations all run a like a dream.
I'm really excited what's coming in the future.

Just a few hours. I like it, but also I'm not super convinced. It looks great and has enough new things, it's an 8 so far.
I'd say MK8 Deluxe was a 9.

That's a question of what kind of person the owner is.
I'm a person, the moment I took out the Switch 2 of his PVC bag, I plugged a frame with a display protector on it. It fits perfecy and so, there won't be any scratch.

@The_Nintend_Pedant he and his tracks will be part of the game, that's my only concern.

Well, I don't know what to make out of these news.
It doesn't seem to happen to a lot of people. Mine runs supers so far. But I also noticed, it can get warm in docked mode. I noticed it with Splatoon 3.

Ok. The idea is pretty nice.
My biggest concern would be, if it is safe the same way as the original dock in terms of voltage and cooling.

If they just wouldn't have announced that SpongeBob ***** for this game.
I might even get it on Switch 2, as I'm planning not buy another Xbox game before Microsoft gives a vision about disc support in the future.

I'm getting Tony Hawks on PS5. Donkey Kong has to wait, I'm pretty broke right now.

Something looks cheap about this game. I'm not convinced.

My Switch 2 should arrive tomorrow.
I also ordered Mario Kart World(want this physical) and I already have the Tears of the Kingdom Switch 2 Edition.
I'm ready, I don't care about the rest of these games now. I already own some of these games on other platforms.
I could imagine getting Sonic Generations on Switch 2 and sell my Xbox version. But there's no hurry.

Oh yeah, good times when Gamestop existed outside of USA.

What a weird ranking. I highly prefer Shadow the Hedgehog over a lot other titles before it.
And that's just one example.

It's alright the way it is. Nintendo stays true to its concept. Not like SEGA....

There's no option to buy these games, you always have to pay. It's just a lame model.

I already have Nickelodeon Kart Racer 3 on Xbox. I don't need or want SpongeBob in a Sonic game.

It's OK for me. When I have a Switch 2, Donkey Kong will be one of my first games.

These look nice. But tape cases were also pretty breakable.
But I would be glad if Switch cases would smaller, at least in length. The cartridge inside is tiny and mostly there's no booklet inside.

Yeah maybe in a half year, I will get the Switch 2... When the system is finally completed, has no crashing issues, no battery problems and so on.
When more colors are available than black and hopefully, the system already dropped it's price because the sales will go down with the current prices.
Than I will get it with Mario Kart and Donkey Kong.

@OtterXPT you can play all Gamecube games on a Wii U without an expensive subscription. Wii U is a far better deal for that.

The 3 Gamecube games for 40 bucks a year. 😬

@Anti-Matter why would you get a Switch OLED now? It's the best Switch model, yeah, but I would wait until the first Switch 2 spook is over and discounts are starting.

Seems to be one of the best ports so far.

I hate these game key cards things as well. I even hate way more, that XBox is bringing more and more games digital only.
But I guess, there is no holding back anymore.

What a great console time, where low spec systems do the math. The Series S sold pretty solid, thanks to that, disc games are dying on XBox and Nintendo users are glad, that their new 500£ system is almost as strong as a Series S. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I won't buy a Switch 2 very soon. I will keep an eye on it and wait for updates, price drop, revision, maybe a different color.
But so far, I'm not sold and the only game I would play is Mario Kart. I don't need it for the rest of the launch games.

It looks really blurry on Switch. I'll stick my gorgeous Series X version.

I have also no interest in an Xbox handheld. But besides that, the Series X is my favorite console this generation.
I'm in for another Xbox.
