I never understand why Yoshi Story is so far down the list. That game is very solid for what it was trying to achieve and is still an absolute blast. Still really hoping to see games like Rocket, Mischief Makers, Chameleon Twist and Banjo Tooie on NSO.

Did I enjoy the first two movies? Absolutely not. Am I skeptical that they're actually going to make meaningful callbacks? Definitely. Will I purchase absolutely anything with Knuckle's face on it as per tradition ever since Sonic & Knuckles dropped? Absolutely. Long live the entertainment industry's favourite enchilada. Hail!

Hoping to see the update soon. I have it on Switch and PC, but the portability of Switch can't be beaten so I'm holding out. I'm mixed on whether I'll start a new farm - probably not as I'm invested in the one I already have and feel like I was just getting the hang of it.

Jack Black is an enigma in this world and I am here for every casting. If Jack Black was casted to be the voice of Lara Croft I wouldn't hesitate to preorder. When will Bethesda pick up Jack Black to do an Elder Scrolls cameo? Sheogorath's Uncle or something - come on people.

I'm a new mom so this list is a godsend for me right now, haha. My comfort games have been Skyrim, Tetris (GB) and Mean Bean Machine (Origins). I might try Abzu though, as it looks like it has a similar vibe to AER, which I really liked.

And the PS2 is my second favourite console! Switch is a great contender to pass that record. I imagine I'll be on the Nintendo Switch for another decade easily. There's more content than I can fathom.

It looks really good and I do like Princess Peach as a character. Will be waiting for a sale because I have so many other games I could be playing and buying games at launch is really not a financial priority for me right now.

I really want to play it, but I just don't $80 want to play it. Maybe in a few years when it goes on sale.

The problem for me is the cost. Switch games are double what 3DS games we're back in the day. I am less inclined to buy next Switch games now, and usually wait for the golden $80 to $50 price drop on used games out in the wild.

As much as I love these third installments, there are just so many other games to purchase on the Switch (including oodles of Pokemon titles) that I am just not inclined to go wild. However, if there were ports of old 'third' games that would be totally cool.

I'll probably continue on my current save because I put so much time into it so far. Looking forward to seeing what they added.

I like the solid colour sets way more than the two tone. I've been scarred by bad drift with both my original Smash joycons and the one set of yellows I bought, so I will always be buying third party from now on. Sorry Nintendo, not for $100.

Aspyr surprising absolutely nobody with the conduct again. Wanted to pick this title up but I'm also hearing it's victim to 'let the community big test' for us. Sticking to original release.

One day our hero and saviour Captain Falcon will grace us once more.

@trymer89 I've been thinking of picking this one up. I honestly loved the first three Harry Potter games on PlayStation...the idea of free roaming the Harry Potter world? Count me in!

@Ganner I feel that sentiment 100%. The Nintendo Switch is so saturated with great games to try. Plus, the exceptional library of ported and remastered titles. Loads of games which I can try on a budget...but with an adult's lack of time! Oh cruel world...

@mudkipfan217 Nice thing in this world is having save state pausing so you don't have to 'restart' the level if you need to put it down for a a few hours. Definitely makes the game more modern friendly. I'm fingers crossed for Banjo Tooie on NSO, because that game encourages cross exploration much more between levels.

I'm always impressed by the variety of games everyone is playing. This weekend is Sonic Origins Plus for me with some Gameboy Tetris on the side. I've been on a Game Gear kick!

I did not pre-order because I did not have faith in the online networks. Now I know my instincts are correct lol

They're like $450 in Canada and I can't justify the upgrade being worth it. I play Stardew, Skyrim, Sonic Origins, Pokemon and GB Online... Can't say I play anything demanding the extra power. Maybe in a few years if they're a good price drop.

I'm liking the sets with some of the standard NPCs instead of the villagers. They tried to pick the most famous villagers, but I think not having a character that I've interacted with would turn me away from a set. I mean, that's how I bought my Star Wars Lego - I wanted to display my favourites.

@JohnnyMind Homebrew is a good point. While I'm not a fan of modern emulation for piracy, I do have a collect of N64 homebrew cartridges that I have purchased. This is also not a 'legal' use of Nintendo's properties, although at the time I felt it was innocent as they were new games produced by individuals. In fact, the history of 'home brew' or unlicensed with the NES was also quite extensive, if you look at the Tengen cartridges. It seems that this is an archaic problem for Nintendo in a new format.

The mod point is true too. I like to play Stardew and Skyrim on Switch, and sometimes wish I could mod them. Especially Skyrim, which would do better (during early release crashed frequently) with some of the fan made stability mods. I suppose this sort of happened in the end with anniversary edition, as it runs much better now.

Alas, I suppose what will nail these guys overall is the intent, and whatever potential breach of use is involved with Nintendo products. However, it is possible they can fall into a safe zone, although the Switch being a current hardware makes me not so sure. Things like Project 64 live on because who is going after the N64 anyways?

@Yalloo That's my thought too. I don't really know what these projects do in the long run. It's nice for some legacy games that are expensive to get on original hardware (Thinking Project64), but emulating current generation seems harmful for current developers.

I do understand that Switch games are not accessible in many regions, as the reality of import taxes are abhorrent in countries like Mexico. (When relatives come to Canada because things are cheaper, you know it's bad.)

However, I can't say I'm rooting for these folks. I'm sure 'legal advice' also does not mean a legitimate paid aid. And it's safe to say that anyone can interpret 'grey area' advisory to be above a warning of potential repercussions. Enjoy the lawsuit for no gain, I suppose.

Nintendo has been on a a winning streak with crushing these projects out lately, so I am sure it will only be a matter of time. I always wonder what these folks do for a living, because it must be a huge undertaking to keep these emulators updated and communities active.

In the same way I was Super Mario 64 2, Mario Sunshine 2, Mario Odyssey 2...sigh...

I really don't mind this. I've been watching Pokemon Journeys for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised with how much the show has picked up. With the spin off games now exploring the Pokemon universe and timeline more thoroughly, I think there is a lot of potential to develop more meaningful characters and stories.

I've been enjoying the Gameboy app for the last fews days. A new way to play the console with a modern screen and giant adult thumbs. Although I love my old handhelds, the hardware definitely holds me back.

Nice to see more Gameboy games being added to the library. Will be taking some time to play Gameboy this week and enjoy!

So excited to see these titles on switch. Will be waiting for a sale because new baby coming and I can't justify the cost with my already present mat leave backlog, lol.

Picked up Sparks of Hope. Have no idea what the series is about so I'm going in blind!

I like displaying the physical games, and also the fact it doesn't take up as much digital memory on my Switch. MicroSD cards are still pretty expensive, and I'm waiting a few years for the 1TBs to be less astronomical.

Plus, I have the option to resell parts of my collection. Or to give it away as gifts to friends who would enjoy a game more. The one thing I don't like about downloadable software is the fact that eventually these online storefronts will disappear. Nintendo has been pretty good with the Wii and 3DS, but I like to know a company has reasonable legacy support of titles.

Of course some physical games (Spyro for example) are actually missing some of the content on the cartridge out of box and require download features for the full experience.

I like collecting for cartridge consoles because I know that hardware will probably last the longest. The Genesis/SNES/N64 is industrial strength and will probably outlast the download world.

The Scarlet counterpart just is a motorbike with wheels that never move.

Skyrim, regardless of the backlog of games I swore I would play this weekend. I've been enjoying some of the new content from anniversary edition that I hadn't discovered yet. Boy the housing options are a lot cooler.

I might restart Hyrule Warriors too...I enjoy the game but not the difficulty spike later on. I have a boss on Ys Origin to tackle, which I think I finally figured out. I'm still picking at some games on SNES online, but there's been a lot going on!

Knuckles getting the love he deserves heals my inner child, lol. He was always my favourite in Sonic 3 & Knuckles. My mom was the queen of Sonic 2 & Knuckles. She knew where every single ring was in every map.

My eyes are on a physical copy. I have far too little left in data space on my console to buy buying anything digital.

Mario Frontiers confirmed

As much hate as NSO gets, the family expansion pack is a fantastic deal if you have friends to share the cost with. NSO is the only subscription service which I have, and it works out to be cheaper than any Netflix or Disney+ subscription to fill entertainment needs.

There's a bazillion games on there I want to play I'm sure I won't even get to by the time the service shuts down. Bang for the buck and keeps me interested to see new games released because I definitely have my hopes up to see some eventually!

Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life...and maybe I'll try those Tera Raid battles for the Kanto starters in Pokemon Violet. I just want the starters for my own collection, so I'm sure I can get them in a surprise trade anyways in a few days.

Also Skyrim, because I will never be satiated.

A lot of the cozy games are totally addictive. Skyrim, A Wonderful Life, Animal Crossing, Stardew, Rune Factory, etc. The Switch has so many of those games on it! I definitely also find myself addicted on rotation to different SNES or N64 games I'm dedicated to play or get further in after failing miserably as a child.

I got my Super Smash Edition a week before the game launched. It was the last console I could find after going to about four stores in my area. Biggest issue I've had with the switch has been the first party controllers being overpriced and unreliable in comparison to anything third party I have bought. I remember getting a pair of yellow official joycons and they started to drift within the week. For $100? Absolutely not. So many good $30-40 alternatives on Amazon which I have never had an issue with.

If I was to wish for a pipe dream game, it would be that this rumoured Oblivion remaster made it to Switch as well. Now that would be a killer game to play on the go!

This is one of those consoles where I will have a backlog for life. There is so much on it and so little time. Many of the ports and remakes are also great. I love a console where I can play Banjo Kazooie, Skyrim, Pokemon and Rune Factory all in one sitting. I have a pile of games in my backlog, including ported games I missed on first release.

Really want to try Mario Wonder and Arceus. The upcoming Peach game looks fantastic too. At this point I'm waiting for some pretty heavy duty sales. Maybe we are getting close to that time again for Nintendo Selects to make an appearance? There's some games which I am just unlikely to pick up with the $80-90 price tag.

Tera Raid is probably the most interesting for me. I didn't pick up Arceus although I heard it was alright. I'm not as interested in spin off titles, but the return to Kalos seems cool!

Personally I would love to see Banjo Tooie, Donkey Kong 64 or Diddy Kong Racing. Rare Replay would be great as I would have some solace that we may be able to keep these games in a post-online world.

However, the Switch has such as collosal library and NSO is so generous that I could probably play every day until the online shuts down and still not have finished everything I wanted to try. I have the original hardware still, so if I'm hankering that's not a problem either. I'll take the announcements as they come!

I wish I was better at some of these games. I low Super Metroid but it's one of those childhood toughies that I still struggle with, haha. Thank God for modern save state options to enjoy some of these titles for the first time.
