I'm going to brag that I got the last Smash Edition console in the lower mainland and I've never had a problem with drift. Every joycon I've purchased after the fact has had drift. I don't know what it is about the Smash Edition one, but the stick feels different than a normal switch stick and it's never given me trouble. I did end up getting the L Hori Zelda stick about two months ago because it was on sale and I highly recommend it for anyone playing Genesis Collection.

Reminds me a lot of Rocket: Robot on Wheels. Hope that the data on the cart is well preserved!

Klonoa, Kirby, Mario Kart and Earthbound were my highlights. I'm not super interested in Strikers or Splatoon, but hopefully their announcement makes way for a new 3D Mario in the future.

The Portal announcement was hilarious. Really didn't see that coming.

Also the Assassin's Creed trilogy looks cool, but it seems the physical version only comes with ACII loaded and the rest are download.

I'm going to be so poor after this direct. Also I'm assuming the internet will take 'mouthful mode' well haha.

Maybe Arceus, but not day one after I've already purchased Pearl so soon. 2021 had a much better lineup for me with Crash, Sonic, Pokemon and Mario. I think this year will be more about my retro collections. Looking forward to Banjo Kazooie on the online this month!

Funny I ordered the physical copy on Black Friday and it never came. Just got a refund from Amazon. Good fortune because this is 1/10th the price!

All my black Friday purchases just came in the mail and I just started Pokemon. I have too much to play this weekend. 😂

So Skyrim but with Sonic the Hedgehog.

This year has gone on so long I forgot Bowser's Fury and Crash 4 came out this year. I thought that was 2020 for sure haha.

I think I'll go for Splatoon 2 because I've never played a game in the series yet. I might also get the Doom Collection physical if it's not horrendously expensive. Just bought a handful of physical games in the $20 range.

The US already had the big purple Fisher Price buttons on their SNES, so at the very least the purple has continuity.

I might wait for a coupon or a sale. I just picked up six physical games in a Black Friday sale so I've spent enough lol

So much came out this last little while and the Black Friday sales are starting. Definitely want to play the new Pokemon, but I might stick to Halo multiplayer and the Animal Crossing update for the time being.

Within the first ten minutes of it Boone came over and complained about my cockroaches and left. I used to pick flees off that nasty boy this update should be called Animal Crossing: New Judgement 2.0. >

@Franklin Yeah, I'm glad I got it I've been having a bunch of fun. Switch games have always been hard to justify buying because they're so much more than any PC game I've purchased. Luckily they hold their value, so I can always sell what I don't play later on for a pretty good return.

Can't see 3D like that in most cases, but it was definitely one of the best 3D Mario's in my opinion. Opened up for great games like 3D World.

The closer we get to the Pokemon release I'm considering holding off until I get a used copy. After buying NSO + Expansion I think I have spent enough on games for a bit!

This game is a blast! I love laid back cute games like Kirby's Epic Yarn and this was definitely a trail blazer. I own the US version as well as a CIB Japanese version for my original hardware.

Just Pokemon Shining Pearl for me! The Animal Crossing update and DLC will keep me busy well into 2022 for sure.

Ocarina of Time and Super Mario 64 on the expansion pack. Also been trying out Sin and Punishment which is a total blast!

Bought it as soon as I got home! It was $50CAD to upgrade with my remaining time left for the year. I'm going to be playing the Animal Crossing DLC too so it's worth it. Definitely a lot of game repetition already owning the All Stars pack and Genesis collection, but I'm holding out for Banjo!

I collect for switch so I don't mind the price. I might not pick it up right away though and wait for a used copy depending on how much they really remastered.

@BulbasaurusRex Yeah the port isn't great. I was just ranking the games when I voted for the article. I think in general most of the ports for Genesis suffer at the very least in the audio department. Especially on PC.

I already have the original hardware and the collection on Switch, but I will definitely be upgrading for the portable N64 games.

Streets of Rage 2 has a phenomenal soundtrack!

Assuming this will be about $70CAD where I am from, I am still seeing that price justified. I am very interested in playing N64 and the Animal Crossing DLC. That being said, you can already purchased a relatively decent Genesis Collection on the Switch for about $40CAD.

Also, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is $17CAD/m. Audible is about $16CAD/m. All of my entertainment services are are around that price range. For games I can get hundreds of hours out of for a flat rate which is less than half of the other entertainment platforms I use, that's reasonable. Most of the Xbox Pass games which I am interested in can be picked up on Steam for a fraction of the monthly cost.

You can't play N64 anywhere else unless you have the original hardware, which is monstrously expensive due to the nostalgia wave / the entertainment markups due to Covid. There will always be Project 64 for those who are unable or unwilling to pay for this new online price.

I do not think the ratings on this video will cause Nintendo to change their prices. I think they understand how much the idea of N64 on Switch was hyped by the fans and they're selling at what they think the nostalgia is economically worth.

Not for me, but I hope in the next SSB installation they continue this kind of multi franchise support.

Would love to see Genesis Pocahontas as well. That gave is incredibly hard to find as a physical copy.

1. Zelda Anniversary. Ports?
2. Update on what the new controller is.
3. NSO update. N64 games would be a dream, but I feel this may be unrealistic.
4. Donkey Kong Anniversary acknowledged.
5. More information on Pokemon remakes and Arceus.
6. NA price drops before OLED release.

I'm going to wait for a price lower because with Sonic Colours out and Pokemon on the way, that's a bit much on my wallet for one Q haha.

This is great! The Switch has a lot of potential in the home entertainment department. I know Sony and Microsoft usually cater their consoles to this role, but I can see as the Switch gets older more apps like this appearing.

Just got an SFC to celebrate!

Mine says arriving September 10th to September 22nd. Kind of a bummer, but that's not a big wait. I just hope there's no physical delays on Pokemon or anything else with a 2021 ETA

Between Pearl and Arceus that's $180CAD after tax. One of the big downsides of the Switch are these atrocious prices...yet here I was day one buying Mario 64 for $90 anyways. I buy on PC where possible to make up for the Switch tax.

I would really love to see Pocahontas released again. Not an insanely popular game at the time, but it was by Virgin and the cartridges are now $$$.

Revisiting some old favourites. Looking to stream some Mario 64, as well as get some time in with my Switch - Rune Factory 4, Ripto's Rage...
