I’ve been shocked at how excited people are about this seeing its sega and they have a legacy of screwing stuff up for decades. I say this as someone who had a genesis over snes,game gear or game boy, got a saturn before PS1 & N64, and had a dreamcast.

I really wish they would have let us preorder on the eshop so it would download a week early. Having to download over 50gb will take a bit and I’ve been waiting for these games.

I never owned a SNES so this remake is the first time I’ve ever played this game. My only memories of the original is the freaky grandpa in the commercial.I’m liking the game alot so far.

Starting with the Saturn,PS1 and N64 I keep my consoles & games. I did pass on my original Switch to my nephew when I upgraded to my OLED. Plus I have a ton of Switch games and I’d fill my Switch 2 to capacity on day 1 if I moved my games over.

Can’t wait for Chris Pratt to play Zelda.

I love WarioWare but I hate motion controls so I’m skipping it.

Portia came out 4 years ago a complete mess and now they want to fix it. I redownloaded Portia like 6 months ago to see its current state and it was still terrible.
I will not be supporting the new game.

I got an official email yesterday from nintendo promoting this bundle so I’m pretty sure its official.

GBC was my 1st Gameboy. I never had any interest in the original gameboy as a child it was rare we got many games so I didn’t want to waste an opportunity to get a new console game over a subpar handheld one.

In late 98 I was getting way more games. I got a n64 in october and my parents promised to get me ocarina of time for christmas. They forgot to preorder and couldn’t find it for christmas. As a make good my mom bought me a gbc with link’s awakening and that thing went everywhere with me.

I have tons of upgrades that I can’t do because the game glitches out and listed every button as RB and none of the buttons work but the button to return to the prior screen.

Was shocked how bad the graphics get once you complete the opening section. It was fine the first 3 races then you get to Vermont and things nosedive.

Has this been fixed yet? I picked this up at launch on switch & performance was atrocious.

@cainswo You would have hated gaming marketing in the 90’s. Waiting years sometimes over 5 years for a game zero trailers just the occasional screenshot in a magazine that was already several months old by the time it came out. Time moved way slower back then it was excruciating waiting 6 or 7 years for the next Mario & Zelda

If you got a release window it was rarely kept alot of times you didn’t know a game was released until you saw it in a store. I remember in 95 the gaming mags were pushing sega saturn coming out in september but it released in may but the magazines covering that news didn’t come out until july or august.

Reminds me of NASCAR Rumble on PS1 but that game had real cars & drivers. I’m leery it will be crap but if it’s decent I’ll pick it up for my brother who loves NASCAR.

@Ironcore I remember FX3 launching in poor shape but they eventually fixed it.

The performance modes help a ton. I set it to minimalist max speed and the game runs good. Default settings were rough.

@Paraka People that are american football fans usually want the NFL brand with real players or NCAA College Football made up leagues with fake players usually don’t sell much outside of a very niche fan. I do miss the late 90’s early 2000’s when you’d have like 5 to 7 nfl games every year including Gameday,Xtreme,Street,The Sega Sports NFL series and Quarterback Club.

This game kinda reminds me of Madden & Bill Walsh College Football on Sega Genesis.

@GrailUK Toys R Us did a Back to School gaming sale in 1996 its how I got my Sega Saturn. Companies have been doing this for decades it’s nothing new parents bribe kids into getting good grades with new games or systems. In 96 I was an honors student. In 98 I got a PS1 & N64 and was a high honors student.

I am shocked how badly this game runs in handheld tried a lights out match it was wwe2k18 on switch bad.

@Ryu_Niiyama He’s a grandpa in his mid 60’s with a bad neck and he’s undefeated in AEW. Really says alot about the current crop of wrestling stars.

Absolutely fabulous game. I purchased all dlc the moment it was available even the Castlevania one which I haven’t had time to play yet but I know it will be great when I do

Still waiting for 1080 thought we’d get it last winter.

@lighteningbolt79 It feels like a lifetime ago before streaming when we’d have to wait 6 months or more after a movie finished in theaters for it to release on vhs or dvd. Now we get it way sooner so they charge more.

@Kiyata Only difference seems to be this new version includes Bust a move branding which the prior version didn’t. I’m partial to bust a move as that’s what it was called when I first played these games on my sega saturn back in the day.

@Kiyata I was surprised they are releasing the 1st one from 1995 the same day. Now I know why they skipped it in the collection they put out in February.

I will never understand people being obsessed with power & performance but owning a switch and constantly complaining about it. The switch was old tech when it released in 2017 maybe it just isn’t for you cause there are tons of more powerful options in the gaming space. I knew what I was getting when I bought my switch and I love the thing.

If I cared about power & performance I wouldn’t have bought one. I have way more powerful consoles that I barely play cause while they are pretty & powerful that isn’t why I play games those more powerful systems are kinda soulless and to me those games aren’t that fun.

I’ve played a ton of TOTK the last couple days and I haven’t thought about 4k/60fps once and I’ve been hooked. I’ve never enjoyed any PS5 game to this level.

@teamdave2002 I got a n64 as an early christmas present in october 1998 because I needed Ocarina of Time & WCW/NWO Revenge. My mom promised to preorder Ocarina of Time but she didn’t and we couldn’t find a copy until after christmas. Both my mom & the chubby bearded guy from the north pole dropped the ball big time that year.

$40 with my voucher is a heck of a deal. This will be the 1st time ever that I play a mainline zelda day one. I’m still stewing over the 1998 fiasco.

@ComfyAko I bought GP at launch for like $50 because I enjoyed the ps1 original what they did with that game was totally slimy. Actions have consequences they deserve what they got. I won’t be touching Speedstorm cause lacing a game aimed at kids with micro transactions is unacceptable.

@clianvXAi These games were $30-$40 a piece back 20 years ago when they released. No way an upgraded version featuring both games is gonna be $15-$20.

This collection was my introduction to these games and I like them a lot. Still can’t believe I missed them when they originally were released.

I played for 4 hours tonight. This is exactly what I wanted they improved something I loved in pretty much every conceivable way.

These 2 games are very special to me. From 2002 through 2006 I was incredibly sick and spent most of my life during that period in hospitals. My GBA never left my side and these games were easily my most played. This remake is like an old friend returning. I’m so glad it turned out good I can’t wait till friday.

I had this preordered before the 1st delay and then they cancelled it after the 2nd delay. I loved these games back in the day. I picked up some vouchers and got this for $60 and zelda for $40.
