I don't mind all digital as long as my games are stored on my account and not the console like wii/wii u. I never bought one game digital on those consoles for that reason alone.
I only have a 128gb card in my switch but own many games digital and at some point will buy a 1tb card and just download all my games, but that won't be for a while because I can't see the switch eshop closing anytime soon and I would imagine that Nintendo's next console will just be a beefed up switch with backwards compatibility.
I will say this though, will always go physical over digital given the choice because it give more control to the customer over the games they own, not to mention it kills the shops that employ people and reduces job opportunities. I see a lot of people that are ina hurry for this all digital future and I don't quite understand it myself because as I said, it takes control away from the customer, you cannot trade or lend a download and in the end all we are paying for with downloads is the ability to access the game we want to play.
I'm not saying I'm against digital but you can NEVER beat owning the physical product, anyone that says otherwise is just lying to themselves in my opinion.
I'm a switch only gamer so I will be getting this next week, I played a little Doom eternal on my son's xbox through game pass. I would have played more but between him and his younger brother and the wife giving me jobs to do I get about 20 minutes on it if I'm lucky lol
Now I can pop some headphones in and slay some demons, enjoyed the first one although wasn't as blown away by it as most people, Doom 3 was always my favorite of the lot
I got it on switch and it seems to run fine for me and I've never felt the frame rate or visuals led to me dying.
The only problem with this game is that it is soooooooo hard, like stupidly hard to the point where it stops being a fun challenge and became stressful and no game should ever stress you out, it's supposed to be a fun experience, or maybe I'm just not good enough for this game, who knows. I'm quite far into the game at this point and the game starts off not to difficult but when the game starts introducing enemy shields and teleporting enemies then the frustration really starts to ramp up. The problem is that in a first person game I feel one hit death is just to unforgiving, it works in games like katana zero and hotline miami because you have full view of you surroundings, but with ghost runner there is just too much trial and error and I won't even get into platforming sections and hitting timed electrical switches, while jumping and ducking spinning blades whilst being shot at, it can all be a bit to much at times and this is coming from a guy that said sekiro shouldn't have an easy mode, but I feel this game would be far more enjoyable if you and the enemies could take 2-3 hits.
Man I really hope this is true, the revelation games are actually my favorite this far in the series. A perfect blend of the action of RE5 and the atmosphere of the older games and the raid mode was so much fun and is by far the best "extra" mode capcom has ever given to an RE game.
I actually started going through rev2 recently and was imagining a rev3 for the switch, funny how things work out (if the rumor is true of course) I would set in a run down hospital and an abandoned theme park because everyone knows that those are the scariest places imaginable.
Just release No Mercy on the eshop with updated roster and online play, I don't even care if it has N64 graphics in fact that would add to the charm, Wrestling fans would flip their lids.
I played this game and apart from one bug where I had to reload a checkpoint to progress I've had no problems and the game ran just fine for me and I also think it looks great both on T.V and docked.
Anybody that watched the digital foundry video will have also noticed that in certain areas the switch version had a better look than the PS4 and X1 versions of the game, that's quite an achievement for any dev porting a game to the switch
Ah the good old wii, still my favorite console to this day.
I got this console the day it came out with red steel, tony hawk's downhill jam and twilight princess and until the Wii U came out I never had so much fun with a console. Whether I was playing wii sports with family or going solo with games like metroid prime 3, tenchu shadow assassin's or red steel 2. And how can we forget how the Wii revived the light gun genre and gave us a brand new house of the dead game with overkill.
I remember how good the online scene was for the conduit and COD games, man I miss them days. I'm sure it shows how much love I have for the Wii and with no more heroes 3 keeping that Wii era spirit alive and well it's a good time to look back in the greatest most misunderstood console of all time.
A fair review, I got this a week ago and have had a decent amount fun with it but that may be because I had the toys back when I was a kid. The couch multiplayer has been a lot of fun with the kids.
I got this the other day on switch, I played my friends copy when it first released and it looked rough but since then whatever tweaks and patches they have put out has definitely made the game look a lot better
I'm experiencing a game breaking bug on the crusher yard and I'm so angry! A helicopter boss fight won't trigger and yes this is even with the latest patch. If these stupid companies can't be bothered to make games properly then there needs to be a refund function in place because this is robbery of £26.
I've tried everything from reloading, reinstalling, and still the same problem. Welcome to gaming in 2020!
Never played or even heard of it but the lead character looks hot and I love me a good hack 'n' slash so I'll definitely be getting this one out when it's released.
Seen a few reviews from it's original release and some people likes it and some didn't. I'm willing to take a gamble so long as the price isn't to high.
I saw 2, 10 minute NOT FAKE gameplay video's on youtube today but they have been removed.
The backgrounds are not static and do move and it all seemed to be running at 60fps with only a few minor dips here and there and there were some insignificant low rez textures in the background and there was a tiny bit of jaggy-ness but all in all I was very impressed and have no worries after seeing those videos, but this is the switch after all so we need to keep expectations realistic.
I got in from work and wanted to watch them on my big TV to getva proper idea of how the game would look but they were taken down bt the time I got home.
Just been playing this for 2 and a bit hours and it is awesome!! I knew this was a gem the minute I set eyes on it on the indie direct a few weeks back. One of the best games I've played on switch and not just indie, I mean in general.
It's funny that in a world where everyone is talking about and looking forward to days gone, I was counting down the days my pre order for katana zero would be playable.
Like seriously stop reading this comment section and download this game asap.
I thought the first hollow game was quite underrated and as indie horror games go was a respectable effort. I will definitely be cchecking out the sequel
Downloaded this yesterday and I'm loving it, easily one of the best games I've played in a long time and rather beautiful to look at to. Interesting story, tight controls, it really is just a joy to play
It one of those indies that if it was packaged as a AAA game you wouldn't be any the wiser.
Downsides, I find the game a bit easy so far and textures can be on the simple side at times and can (on rare occasions) look like a very good OG xbox game. It feels like it's running at 30fps but dont hold me to that because I'm just saying how it feels.
But for the price it is at the moment I couldn't recommend enough, I'd recommend it at twice the price so that tells you how much I like this game.
To anybody that's on the fence I'd say check out ACG's review on youtube as it give the most accurate review I have seen so far.
Why are people making such a big deal about this being a mobile game?
Most indie games on the eshop started out on mobile devices, some of the best actually. If the games good it's good, and to those worried about micro-transactions I say
1) it's not a FTP game so we should be good
2) have you lot played the last 2 COD games? Coz they are littered with micro-transactions and I don't see anyone complaining and that is a full price retail release, so no double standards please
Can we have the third one please? Y'know the one that the other consoles got, the new one, the one I haven't played.
In all seriousness I'm starting to get concerned with all the ports coming to the switch and I think the system deserves better. Nothing wrong with ports or remasters alongside the new release like what activision did with infinite warfare and the modern warfare remaster, but the problem here is that the switch is getting an 8 year old game in place of what should be the third installment of the series.
I knew this was gonna happen when they couldn't even give an update at E3 2018, I knew something was fishy.
They should have just given it to retro to begin with, why go with a different developer when the guys you had done such a cracking job before!? If it's not broken why fix it?
I'll be getting that metal game and Inmost looked cool as did unruly heroes and will probably find their way onto my switch. I'll be keeping an eye on cross code too
I dunno, I mean I count myself as a Christian but I'm not offended. Lifes about having a laugh now and again and I gotta be honest the trailer did make me chuckle when jesus broke off the cross.
I will always stand by my claim that the Wii U and PS vita were the most underrated and most under appreciated consoles of all time.
It's a sin that they never got the love they deserved. As for my Wii U, well it still sits proudly under my TV and still gets used whenever I fancy one more playthrough of zombi u or some black ops 2 multiplayer on the gamepad while my other half hogs the TV
I dont mind the colour, I don't mind the look but there needs to be a change up in terms of enemy design and level design
If this is all the game is then it's a no from me but if this is just the first level then I'm very interested
This kinda reminds me of paranautical activity and I kid you not I got addicted to that game so if this can at least deliver something on par with that then that's cool too
Switch/Nintendo lovers will shrug this off as no big deal
But the fact that one of the highest selling and one of the most popular games of all time not appearing on the switch is a big deal
In order for a platform to be popular and successful it must try to appeal to all gamers, and if it doesn't then the switch will always be a secondary platform

One of the most underrated horror games on switch is welcome to hanwell, It would be cool to see more horror games take notes from that game
