Anyway, I'll be getting this 100% next friday. I love having the movelist on the gamepad, it reminds me of the old SF or tekken arcade cabinets, where the moveslist would be above the arcade stick.

Yes can't wait, I havn't played a splinter cell game since double agent on the Wii and it's still one of my favourite games on the platform.

A day one purchase for me.

Sony NEVER come cheap when it comes to consoles, so we know a price of around £400 is a given, would you pay that ? I wouldn't pay that for ANY console.

I would never pay anymore than £300 for a home console and £150 for a handheld, that's my limit out of principal. Not to mention all this talk about the games costing £60, WTF!?

I got my Wii U for £295 with zombi u and a pro controller.

But another huge factor for me is that both PS4 and nextbox are gonna just be more of the same.

I'm keeping it Wii U only for next gen, and will probably pick up a second hand PS4 or nextbox pre-owned in when it's dirt cheap.

Personaly, I think nintendo should seek out more unknown developers and get exclusive games.

Coz lets be honest, although EA games sell well, I wonder how many of those sales are actually on nintendo consoles.

Imagine if the wii u had its own football game that took advantage of the consoles streths, and was better than fifa.

The haters are gonna be out in force over this one.

This is nothing to do with the Wii U, this is about an unfinished mess of a product that was an embarrassment to a major company.

They know the game was poor, the public now know the game is poor, so sega have just done what seems to make sense to them.

What they should have done to rectify the situation is give the Wii U version a complete overhaul to deliver on a promise that was made to alien fans.

Even if it took another year or so, they had a chance to do the right thing, and they didn't.

I'm sad it's been cancelled, as I was really looking forward to it.

Sometimes I think gamers are their own worst enemies. Take the darksiders games for example, they were like a breath of fresh air in a crowded room of generic fps games.

But not many people bought it and now we may never see a third, such a shame. That's just one example, look at binary domain, one of my favorite games of last year and nobody bothered with it.

In the end I think we will end up with just a load of SHOOTING STUFF games, and that frightens me a bit because if things do go that way then it's over.

And I can't play games on a phone or tablet.

In a strange way I also find the industry contradicting itself, because developers are asking for more creative freedom, so they are looking to mobile devices to develop for. It's been revealed that console gaming is on it's last legs because of mobile gaming which (lets be honest) has a small screen with NO buttons and is no substitute for the proper thing, but at the same time these so called industry experts think the Wii U is doomed and that the nextbox and PS4 will dominate the next gen because they have way more power.

But even though the wii did not have most of the 3rd party games the others had, the wii enjoyed many quality 3rd party exclusivs that wernt available else where.

Did anybody watch the game bafta's ? I saw a football mobile fone game with nes graphics, beat the latest fifa, a mega budget football game vs a game that some ginger dude made in his home.

besides if the ps4 and nextbox launch for any more than £400 (which is very likely) then the wii u will clean house anyway, because nobody is willing to be paying that much for consoles these days

I don't think tv adverts would make the console an overnight sucsses.

But it would go some way to making people aware of its existence, because there are not many people that know what the wii u is.

I was in cex the other day, I was paying for the amazing spiderman and the girl serving me asked me how the wii u works, I was stunned.

I hate the way he's $h¡ting on the ds and 3ds, and I completely disagree with everything he has said.

But I have to agree with him in regards to monster hunter, I do also feel that it would be better suited to the vita.

It was the same in my generation to.

I wouldn't worry to much, because if the wii u takes off they would singing a different tune.

the thing is I dont know any adults that do their gaming on a 360. All the adults I know play ps3 or wii.

I dont know many kids but the ones I do know play 360, but yet the wii was seen as a kids console

Im really loving the walking dead, the gamepad is used in a similar fashion to zombi u making it the best version in my opinion (although I havn't tried the others) and IT SUPPORTS OFF SCRREN PLAY, love it.

I got it brand new for 29.99, I really dont know why this game got such bad reviews.

These reviewers must be so boring, that they have forgotten that games are meant to be fun, and if Im having fun playing it then its a job well done.

Now this is the part that worries me, because I have noticed the same thing.

Nobody seem to be getting in wii u releases, I have to keep ordering games online.

I was talking to the manager at my local game store because I wanted to pre order injustice, he then told me that they probably wont get the wii u version in.

I am starting to really get fed up with nintendo, because as a die hard fan I feel let down. At the moment they just seem to be doing everything wrong.

I think nintendo only really care about the japanese market, and as long as its doing ok over there to hell with the rest of us

why is it when a games company taste sucsses it goes to their head and causes them to overprice their products and make really dumb decissions.

I hope no one buys the wii mini, so it will make them think twice before doing anything like this again.

Exactly, I wouldnt buy dead island 2 on any console, not just wii u.

It will surprise me if the second one does as well as the first.

I rented the first one and was not impressed.

I just want a zombi u sequal and dead rising 3 and I'll be happy

edit: Actually If the devlopers used the gamepad in an intresting and intuitive way I would possibly give it a chance, because we have already seen with zombi u how well it can work.

I aint just saying this but, I think this game rocks, the graphics aint all that good but there not terrible either.

I urge any zombie fans to pick this game up on whatever platform. I really love the amount of violence in this game, taking a hammer to a zombies head feels damn good.

walking dead is like one of thoses greasy hamburgers you get from a dirty old burger van, it aint pretty, but you still really enjoy it.

Funny isnt it, because thats what I hated about dead island was all these silly little fetch quests.

But if dead island was scary then all those rpg elements and quests would have been cool.

and it wasnt as fun as dead rising, so I agree with deep silver

but the difference is that batman arkham city and mass effect 3 are superb games, dead island is garbage.

It is a shame though when the good ones dont get the support they need.

on a different note, my copy of walking dead arrived today and Im really enjoying it, and it supports off screen play

maybe it's because porting an old game is cheap and so it's not a huge risk.

To be honest though, the only game that I'm gutted isn't getting a release is bioshock infinite.

sony and microsoft can keep the rest.

oh and a port of dishonered would be nice to.

I have never played this before and as long as its not priced over 40 quid, I'll buy it

You may scoff a the wii u specs, But then I could scoff at the fact that sony are using the same joypad from 1994.

When I unpacked the wii u and took out the controller, I was holding something completely NEW in my hands, something I have never held before, the evolution of gaming if you will.

When someone unpacks the PS4, they won't be able to say the same thing.

I'm a killzone fan, and I was looking foward to seeing the new killzone for the PS4.
When I watched the video, all I saw was another fps, I dunno, I just feel as if things are starting to stagnate, at least ninty try to change it up a little.

Yes, you are right from a business perspective but heres the deal, and I'm only speaking for myself as a nintendo fan.

I really couldn't care less about a game like dead island because it really is nothing special or that hasn't been done before, and the same goes for games like crysis 3 or saints row 4.
Now someone reading this will probably say "oh butthurt fanboy, pretending he doesn't care" but I work and earn good money and if I wanted these games I would just go and buy another games console.

I buy a nintendo console because I know that there is gonna be games that will redefine that genre, and that is why I am a nintendo fan and a fan of their console.

Everybody is different and has their preferences, and that's cool. But I couldn't miss out on the new zelda, metroid, mario, and hopefully F-zero.
But I don't mind passing up on a few multiplat's that more or less the same thing I've have been playing since the PS2 days, not to mention I don't have time in my days for that many games anyway, so I wanna enjoy the ones I have fully.

It's great when nintendo console's do get multiplatform games, but to me their just a bonus.
