Right, a couple of things, first off

WFC and FOC were great games, but I think high moon may of just had a bit of luck or the real brains that were there have left, because their 2 most recent games, deadpool and transformers DOTM were absolutely terrible.

I mean come on HOW DO YOU MESS UP A DEADPOOL GAME !?

Wayforward and transformers sounds like it could be a good mix, these are the guys that made the only good aliens game.

And lastly, who the hell are edge of reality ? and are they making all console versions ?

The wii u is getting itself a decent game selection, so I do believe things are gonna pick up.

The only people that will never buy a wii u are the pure haters that would never buy one no matter what. But proper gamers that enjoy great games no matter where they are found will buy a wii u.

I'm hoping it's based on the new movie, optimus prime looks baddonkey.

The last transformers game I bought was rise of the fallen, that game was so underrated.

We all need to understand that it's not just 3rd parties that are to blame, nintendo have been sleeping on the job. I would call it 50/50, half nintendo and half 3rd parties.

The quality of the Wii U is not the issue here, anybody that owns one knows how good of a console it is, and if you say otherwise then there's no pleasing you.

It's not even the games, I highly doubt that X1 or PS4 will have games like wonderful 101, pikmin 3, mario 3D world, and Zombi U out in their first year, for Wii U owners in 2013, there was always games to play. It's the future that worries us.

It doesn't matter if the Wii U was a success or not, most 3rd parties just dislike nintendo for some reason (maybe because they don't cough up the green)

I can prove it, remember when black ops 2 was announced ? why is it they had already decided not to give the Wii U version nuketown 2025 before the Wii U was even released ? for all they knew the Wii U could have been a runaway success. But NO, they wouldn't even give it a chance.

Maybe not this gen, but when the war is over and the dust has settled, nintendo will still be standing, and all the 3rd parties (the ones that are left) will be crawling back to nintendo with their tail between their legs.

Despite phenomenal success with the PS4, sony are in a bad, bad way, and the X1 hasn't exactly had the impact the 360 had.

But good old nintendo are doing Ok, so they must be doing something right.

I really, really hope the Wii U does a 3DS, and starts selling by the truck loads. I doubt that will ever happen but you never know, and I hope watch dogs bombs.

I just don't get it, first injustice GAU (delayed only on Wii U) and then arkham origins (delayed only on Wii U) and then assassins creed 4 (delayed only on Wii U) and now this.

Y'know what, it has nothing to do with user base or sales, these 3rd party companies just don't like nintendo. Why is there hardly any big 3rd party support for the 3DS despite all of it's success, but yet the same companies have a set of mini defibrillators out trying to bring the Vita back to life.

Borderlands 2 is coming to the vita ? WTF ! Why don't they do a Wii U version ? why didn't DOA5 come to the Wii U ? but it came to the vita !? were you one of the five people that bought that ?

Did you see devs turning their back on the PS3 in it's early days when things weren't looking so good ?

Lost world is the best 3D sonic game ever made so far, The only reason a lot of people didn't like it, is because it was tough to master and there was no boost button.

Although I will agree with one comment on here, they should should have left out the colour powers. The just didn't seem to fit in with this game.

I wish nintendo would just buy this studio outright and give them a bigger team and more funding.

This company show more creativeness (is that a word ?) than big budget, "AAA", companies like activision have shown in years.

Give them F-Zero, or starfox, I'm almost certain they would do a very good job.

There are 3 kinds of sonic fan

1) Wants a good sonic game
2) Wants a Good 2D sonic game
3) Wants to smash buttons and go as fast as possible

Number 3 is what those reviewers at IGN and gamespot were. The 3D levels in sonic generations were absolutely terrible, worse than sonic 06 and the only thing they got right was going fast, so sonic fan No.3 loved it.

Sonic lost world is a good game, it was just different and had a bit of a learning curve, so peoples heads started to hurt and they branded it rubbish.

EDIT: The good thing about this new sonic game coming to the Wii U, is that dimps will probably be handling the Wii U version, And I'm cool with that because these dudes do decent work when it comes to sonic. These are the same guys that did all the DS(regarded by many as the best sonic games since megadrive) and 3DS sonic games and sonic unleashed (had some of the best sonic levels to date)

My taste in sonic games really differs from most. I didn't start playing sonic games until sonic adventure 1, because I only had nintendo consoles back in the day. I liked sonic adventure 1&2, but didn't buy another until sonic and the secret rings, and then black knight, and unleashed, I really liked secret rings and black knight, but felt the werehog stuff ruined unleashed.

And then colours came out and there were some parts of that game I loved and some parts I felt were thrown together, I don't like the feeling of being on rails and just banging the boost button and hoping for the best, seeing a blur that may look cool, but I don't actually have a clue where I'm heading , to me that's not a game. Then we had generations and I loved the classic levels but HATED the modern ones.

And then we come to lost world, which for me, is my favorite sonic of them all, I felt totally in control of sonic and his speed and knew where I was going and where I needed to go, and how to get there, and that is how it should be, not a load stuff whizzing by and arriving at the end with no real clue how you got there, yes, sonic needs to be fast, but not so fast it ruins the gameplay. I felt lost world found that perfect balance.

I'm not talking a bit of screen tearing here and there, I'm talking bullets that don't cause any damage even though your shooting him in the face, I'm talking 6-8 failed attempts trying to get into a match, I'm talking PS3 freezing and making that messed up sound that goes NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !
until you unplug or hold down the power button.

They have patched the main game quite well, so I surprised with all these problems they won't patch the multiplayer.

The way I see it PS3 never got the multiplayer mode either, that's how bad my experience was.

I have not tried the 360 version, so this may not be the case on that platform.

EDIT: I just watched that video you put up, and I can say (no BS) the Wii U version was NEVER that bad, even before they patched it, but it was a bit laggy.

Although the Wii U version never sold to well here are a couple of things to consider.

I had the game on PS3, and although the multiplayer was quite fun, it was a broken, glitchy mess, that crashed my PS3 more time than I can count. Also the attach rate of the Wii U version was actually Ok, when you consider the fact that millions own a PS3, but according to VGCharts it only sold a million and a quarter.

If you want a wii u without a gamepad, your an idiot.

If you don't see its appeal, go get yourself a ps4 or X1

I was really considering a PS4 just before christmas, and I thought to myself right, what games shall I get, killzone.......errrrrrrrrrrr

I love killzone, I got all of them, mercenary on the vita is probably the best handheld game ever made. But as much as I want shadowfall, I can't buy a console for one game, and the rest of the GOOD games on it, I can get on my PS3 or Wii U.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you about deus ex. The gamepad really made that game something more. PC will of course always look the best, but the Wii U version still looked good enough and I never experienced any game breaking glitches and it seemed to run smoothly enough for me.

I case you haven't, try the Wii U version and you'll see what I mean.

I loved my PS1 and still do, I love tekken, and all them games from back in the day.

All I meant was, in terms of quality of games and how well they have aged, the N64 has the upper hand and always did even though a lot of games never came to it.

Dude, I own a PS3 and still have a load of PS1 games from back in the day, and I KNOW that if you try and play most PS1 games now the look and feel SO outdated and have not aged well.

But when I bust out my old N64 and games the old greats have held up very well, some even better than what they are bringing out now.

There was never games like goldeneye, perfect dark, f-zero x, wwf no mercy, turok, jet force gemini, mario 64, or ocarina of time on the PS1. I see what your saying about the sales side of things, but when did a consoles user base determine the quality of that console and it's games ?

I am sour, very sour, because I see gamers buying into hype and a name (just like the fashion industry) and now It's starting to affect the games I wan't to play. Yes I could get watch dogs for my PS3, but I didn't want to, I was looking forward to the whole second screen experience with a game like this.

Take deus ex directors cut, sure, It got released on everything, But the Wii U version was a million times better because of the features the gamepad offered, and that is what made it so good.

Deus ex directors cut proves that the gamepad DOES make the difference, and I stand by my statement about the PS4. What is there killzone ? the rest of the games are just current gen ports or garbage like knack, and the only worthwhile EXCLUSIVE game in the near future is infamous 3.

2 games, and a pile of hype, that's all it took.

You need to remember people, that we live in an age now where good games don't really sell consoles.

I mean come on, why the hell would anyone buy a ps4, a console that has no REALLY good games. It pisses me off the way gaming is turning into the fashion industry.

Nintend need to forget 3rd party support for now, and focus on getting good 2nd party developers under their wing and make games that gamers will not be able to go without, it worked for N64 and it could work now.

If they can it for Wii U, I ain't getting it because THAT is the version I had my sights on.

So as a consumer, I won't settle for (in my opinion) a lesser product.

I dunno what to think, but one thing Iar do know is that when nintendo look dead, they get back up.

Here is my problem

We all know that when the next batman, bioshock, fallout, mortal kombat, street fighter, resident evil, dead island, or whatever gets announced these titles will not come to the Wii U.

We didn't even get wwe 2k14 !

If I was in charge at nintendo, I would accept 3rd party support is gone and try to counter them.

Alien isolation ? pfft, here's a new trailer for metroid prime 4, no battlefield 4 ? shove it, here's conduit 3, no dying light ? heres zombi u 2.

Put it this way, ps3 and 360 owners have just as much if not more to look forward to in 2014 than a Wii U owner.

dying light ? the evil within ? wolfenstien new order ? wwe 2K15 ?

And now this, I'm sorry but thats just wrong. I wouldn't say the Wii U is doomed because it will no dought have great first and second party exclusives not available elsewhere, but none can say that owning a Wii U only will be enough this generation.

But it's still not to late, nintendo need to buy up some studios and get some hype going, but they won't.

They will once again try and do the whole family thing and fall flat, and then the real nintendo will come back, a shame really because the Wii U is such a great system, but like I always say........a console is only as good as its games

You can't have variety with such small 3rd party support, and as great as nintendo games are, we need and deserve more.

Wii U will end up being a 2nd console for most gamers, and I was willing to accept that during the wii era but not this time.

Wii U will miss out on a lot of content available on other platforms and that is unfair.

Wii U is still and always will be a great console, but a console is only as good as it's games and that is where it will fall short

I would like to know what has sold better out of the 3ds and vita in the UK.

I live in london, and the only people I know that have a 3ds are children 4-10 yrs old.

All my adult friends own ps vita including myself, I had a 3ds for a time but gave it to my 5 year old soon after and got a vita, it just wasn't for me

I like my wii u though, but the sad thing is 3rd party support is so slim that I plan on selling that and getting a PS4 in the new year.

Looks ok, nice to see nintendo try something different with its franchise.

But the warriors games are a bit iffy, so lets wait and see, but it does look good so at least that much is known.

I'm not saying mario needs to start shooting people, they can still keep their family image without being uncool. All they need to do is give some of Wii U's other games that same push they give mario.

Why not aquire HVS and fund a conduit 3 like sony did with killzone ? why didn't they show X or bayonetta 2 at VGX ? why not give mario a rest for a while and give fox McCloud the push he deserves ?

Why not advertise a little more ?

Dont get me wrong, I love my Wii U, but a console is only as good as its games and this is where I feel a bit let down. I didn't want another donkey kong or NSMB or a HD remake, they could have put that time and energy into something we actually want.

I think another problem is that its the same old formula every generation with nintendo home console

Lets all be honest, nobody wants to hang out with the unpopular crowd.

And that is nintendo's problem, they need to sort their image out, It doesn't matter how good their games are, all the kids know is that nintendo ain't cool.

Never under estimate the power of perception and image, it's sad but true.

Nintendo have a great console on their hands with the Wii U, but fresh thinking is needed in the nintendo camp.

Iwata needs to go, it's as simple as that. They got lucky with the Wii and he thought it would all happen again. The Wii U will become a gamers 2nd console at best and that just isn't good enough, Nintendo have the best franchises in gaming today and could mop the floor with sony and microsoft if they wanted to.

But the reality is nintendo are stubborn and don't really care for their true fans. I think that the company needs a complete overhaul ASAP

I personally feel that nintendo just gave its fans the middle finger.

Nintendo will become so uncool that the only people playing their systems will be 7 year olds, they are so out of touch with the gaming industry its not even funny anymore.

The Wii U is a fantastic console, and this was their chance to get some attention.

Here's my 2 cents

I think 2014 will be the year the Wii U finds it's footing, but I still think PS4 will be the go to console this gen and will be the market leader.

I think the Wii U will have fantastic 3rd party games, but not in the same way as the others, but in the form of games like X, bayonetta 2, and maybe a pandoras tower sequel or something like that.

I think the X1 will struggle greatly due to overpricing and poor decisions, and could be their last console.

But I could be wrong

If it is metroid prime 4 with full online play, I really really think the hardcore audience would take notice of the Wii U just enough to make it relevent

Y'know all this could be a good thing, it might force nintendo to be more like they were in the snes era.

I can't see into the future, but what I do know is that even if the Wii U was a failiure, nintendo wouldn't go anywhere and would just hit back.

Nope, I'm refering to the ps4. Wii U had good games at launch, it just went through an empty patch in 2013.

Zombi U, NSMBU, nintendo land, batman armored edition, ninja gaiden razors edge. You could not name 5 exclusive games worth owning a PS4 for.

At this point people are so brainwashed they would buy a cardboard box with PS4 written on it.

I am worried for the future of gaming though, because if people will run out and buy a console that has no games, what does that mean.

I tried knack in GAME the other day, it was bad, terrible in fact, even the graphics were rubbish.

I just lost faith, not in nintendo but in gamers. Mario 3d world is a superb game.
