We've had our eye on first-person parkour game Ghostrunner for a while now, and while the trailers look very impressive indeed, we're intrigued to see how all that cyberpunk glitz and wall-running action translates to Switch. The game is out now on other platforms and was supposed to be coming to Switch today, too, although unfortunately Nintendo gamers will have to wait just a little bit longer than the rest.
According to publisher All In! Games, it's been decided to hold back the Switch version until a to-be-determined date in November, "to provide players the best experience possible". Here's some more detail direct from the horse's mouth:
The Nintendo Switch version faces a slight delay into November, as the Ghostrunner teams want all players to have the best possible experience with the game. The final date will be announced in the coming days, so please stay tuned for more information.
While this may be disappointing to some, November is only a handful of days away and given what we've seen of the game so far, the Switch version will need some real care and attention if it's to take its place alongside other quality ports on the system. Far better the devs take the time required to deliver a fine version of the game than the alternative, no?
We've certainly got our fingers crossed that this extra time benefits the Switch edition of Ghostrunner because, well, it looks pretty neat — check out the launch trailer below for another taste.

I think this is gonna have some visibility issues in handheld. Playing it on PC and its hard enough to spot far away ledges and enemies on a 24" monitor. Can't imagine it on switch. Hopefully thats something they've thought of, because its a cracking game.
Looks like a trailer without gameplay footage. They don't have a game they're proud of, or worse.
Seems standard for the Switch now. No doubt it’ll be half price on PS4/XBox by the time the Switch version comes out
@popey1980 yup full price again when the well dries up.
Bit of a dmove to announce a platform delay on day of release.
Really looking forward to Ghostrunner on Switch. Hope it looks/runs somewhere approaching other versions of the game
Starting to get fed up with all these delays, first Doom eternal and then xiii and now this.
It's not good and I may have to stop supporting switch 3rd party games if this carries on
@MEGAMAN_D I’m starting to think Doom Eternal has been canned along with Bayonetta 3
@WoomyNNYes there's plenty of gameplay footage already available. Heck, here's Switch footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PbeJ8rzU04
@Rodan2000
Might as well say Prime 4 and Breath of the Wild 2 are canned as well if continue to apply this "delayed game = canceled game" idea.
@WoomyNNYes
Game got a Demo this Year aviable a few Times on the PC
Tried the demo and PC and really liked it. I'll take RTX and 60 fps over a watered down port.
Didn’t even know this was coming to switch
I actually thought it was out ages ago on pc n that
Two Cyberpunk games delayed in one day.
Surprised this doesn't have exclusive pre-order katanas like the others. Had to decide between Epic, Steam, and GOG for that(got GOG, btw).
@westman98 no, not really. Breath of the wild 2 at least has a trailer and the team behind the new Metroid are constantly bleating about what a great team they have, but the other games I mentioned, not so much as a screenshot, which considering Bayonetta 3 was announced 3 and a half years ago is pretty bizarre.
This game looks like it belongs on xbox and ps4/5 because of how beatiful and cool it looks. Maybe even PC. I wouln't think switch because of how it looks and M games don't usually come to the switch. But, I still wanna play it.
