Had a young woman sell me a bunch of SNES stuff years back. I of course own a SNES but I kept her console too as she completely painted the casing in a abstract mural.
Great news, though I’m mildly irked that Falcom only really cared about the Switch after its great sales. Love that ship art, when I was in college Ys and Xanadu illustrations were a big influence for me.
Possibly my favorite 64 game, used to hit up Holiday island with the birdsuit and chill to the Jazzy background music. Great to hear they invested extra effort into this port.
What is up with October? Bayonetta 3 and three decent ports (Persona 5, No Mans Sky, Nier) that I absolutely wanted to play but simply didn’t want new hardware. To clarify, not trying to fanboy. The kids love the Switch and I find it fantastic to take to another TV in the bedroom or play some portable when I get the chance. I realize at some point Elden Ring and Spider-Man will sway a upgrade, but happy for these “impossible “ports.
Not sure the reason to exclude a physical release unless their previous Switch rereleases have floundered. Both games on their home platforms command high prices, I would think a physical version would do decently. Also they could be waiting for Royal to launch before committing to exact release details.
Shame, I ordered two of these the instant they were available because I love shooters. The drip feed of updates about pack in items arriving to their offices kept me hanging on but frankly this isn’t a surprise.
The posture of the figures is fitting I guess to the source material but damn I wish they could have done something more original with the sculpts. Maybe different weapons? Items?
@Truegamer79 the Turbografx was weaker than the SNES but it’s developers used the hardware to amazing potential and found tricks with CD storage. Gates and Lords of Thunder performed amazingly compared to some SNES shmups.
I’m definitely picking one up. Lightning Force alone is one of my top ten games. I didn’t expect any of Working Designs games because I’m guessing Vic has a way to obstruct it. With Snatcher and Lords of Thunder cleared for the Turbo mini I was really hoping they had a chance. Oh well.
I always thought Nintendo was sleeping on a gold mine by not retooling BotW horse riding into a actual good horse game for girls. I’ve bought a few of the ones available on Switch for my daughter and they are frankly crap. This seems to have potential.
It’s vaguely surreal to see this article when the companie’s output has been little more than a few HD ports and that 3DS game. Back in the day there were rumblings RS3 was in active development, I even remember a long shot rumor that Treasure submitted a new Darius to Microsoft in the 360 era. Again I’m not expecting anything too nuts….
The Saturns odd component set up makes emulation difficult even up to a few years ago. I could definitely see that as a stumbling block to a mini version.
I actually regret selling this back in the day. It’s a decent if a bit too easy action RPG. I doubt they’d fix it but there was a way in the game to use a key too early and not be able to proceed further.
As a huge fan of shooters I’m overjoyed to see this as the final 3DS physical release and hearing it’s quality. Had always hoped Steel Empires 3DS would have gotten a cart copy but this will definitely do.
I consider Shattered Memories one of my favorite games of the era. Initially I was disappointed by the lack of combat and slightly easy puzzles but it was immersive and the voice acting was great.
Cool, maybe this will open a door for Dragons Crown or Muramasa. Truthfully I’ve wondered how Vanillaware has done in recent years. It seemed like 13 Sentinels was in development forever and sold poorly.
Game had some insane designs (as mentioned by the Cho Aniki guys). When I was a kid the bloodstream level made me nauseous with all the movement in the background.
Let’s see Metal Gear Survive, Contra Rogue Corps, that mobile Castlevania thing. My hopes are rock bottom. Also wasn’t the rumor Sony was footing the bill to get some of these games as exclusives?
I’m impressed they are doling out the DLC for free. It’s hilarious that AAA companies continue to nickel and dime anything they can and indie developers of a amazing game that people would happily hand money for do this.
There’s a song in Vvvvvv that I listen to for motivating house load work, probably the closest thing for this list. edit Pushing Onward, seriously that track kept me from throwing the 3DS several times.😃

The Alien Crush remake was another lost Wiiware title, I enjoyed it.
Re: 'Felix The Cat' Konami Collection Surfaces On The ESRB
I imagine they got this license for a song but still of the entire catalog at their finger tips…
Re: Alien: Isolation - The Collection Physical Edition Announced For Nintendo Switch
I gave up hope on a Switch physical version given the licensing and how long it’s been out. Definitely supporting as it’s a great game and port.
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom's Final Pre-Launch Trailer Is Absolutely Stunning
Was afraid to watch it and risk spoiling parts of the game but damn it makes me want the game MORE!!!

Re: Ys X: Nordics Announced For Nintendo Switch, Launching In 2023
It’s crazy to see Falcoms completely distanced stance on the Switch to its flagship title launching day one on it.
Re: Sega Veteran And Industry Legend Rieko Kodama Has Passed Away, Aged 59
The Phantasy Star original series is to this day one of my all favorites. Much respect for this woman and a shame she seemed to pass before her time.
Re: Review: Pilotwings 64 - A Real Gem, Sparkling In The Shadow Of Mario 64
Possibly my favorite 64 game, used to hit up Holiday island with the birdsuit and chill to the Jazzy background music. Great to hear they invested extra effort into this port.

Re: Sega Genesis Mini 2 Stock Expected To Be In Short Supply Locally
I was worried about this in the initial article. Guessing this definitely means no interesting side additions like Darius and Tetris in the first.

Re: Where To Pre-Order SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive Mini 2
The US version says shipped by Sega of Japan and requires $20 shipping. I’m guessing this is a sharply limited release?

Square guys…it will be cloud crap. Hope I’m wrong.

Re: Every Physical Game From Limited Run's Summer Showcase Coming To Switch
Thank you Doom Eternal and Tetris, I’ve held out for these. I’m happy to see more 3DS physical, but not my first choice….

Re: Memory Pak: Forget Zelda And Mario, Thumper Was The Biggest Surprise Of 2017
One of the first games I played on Switch and a all time favorite . My LRG collector edition sits proudly on my bookcase.

No Mans Sky (provided no cloud), Portal, Live A Live, and this?!? Well played Nintendo.
Re: Sturmwind EX Is Getting A Physical Release On Switch
Nice. The original on DC was excellent for the size of the staff that crafted it.

Re: Star Wars: KOTOR Is Receiving A Limited Run Games Physical Release On Switch
Cool. I’m definitely picking this one up.
Re: 16-Bit Cult Classic Valis Is Getting Rebooted On Nintendo Switch
