@ICISAZEL Hades and Dead Cells are not hard in the way this game is hard. The 'hard' in Hades and Dead Cells is well structured, fun difficulty. The "hard" in Silksong is meaningless artificial difficulty. Emphasis on MEANINGLESS ARTIFICIAL. To condense what I mean as much as possible, both Hades and Dead Cells respect you and your time way more than Silksong does. I'd give Hades and Dead Cells anywhere between a 9/10 and a 9.6/10 This game caps out at 8.4 at best, all for the sake of turning its back on things that could have enriched the experience without watering down the difficulty.
Logically explaining to your customers why your choice makes sense, and they should just cope with it. All I'm hearing (reading) is why I should never, ever buy another Team Cherry game in the first week of release, if at all.
Too many irritating aspects to this game. The boss fights are fine, but most of the rest is obnoxious. OG Hollow Knight is far more fun than this. I don't see myself replaying this game a single time once I beat it, if it doesn't offer a new game+ option with the chance to carry skills and weapon upgrades over.
@Lizuka Agreed. I'm not a fan of the try hard, no difficulty option mentality at all. The 3D Ninja Gaiden games are famed for their difficulty, but they offer enough difficulty options for anyone to see the story through. It also takes absolutely nothing away from the games.
I don't care what greedy devs think. All I know is I'm getting Silksong this week. If you price your game too high, have too many people working on it, use the game to preach at me, or insert mechanics that trivialize my time, then that's not a me problem, it's a you problem.
@Drago201 @DennisLofgren @LazyDaisy Y'all are right, my comment was made in ignorance; apparently, the game just barely hits 60fps on the Z1 Extreme, so it's not realistic to expect it to be 60fps on Switch 2.
I'm starting to think Nintendo really needs to make a program specifically for helping devs optimize the games being ported to it. Is the Switch 2 really not capable of 60fps for Remake Intergrade?
@WhiteUmbrella There's still some common sense on this site, apparently. @PJOReilly I gotta say I'm disappointed with the blatant bias of your article.
@Toastmaster Yeah. The detachable controllers are a big draw after experiencing them on the Switch, and the FPS mode will mean I no longer need to shy away from shooter games, increasing my options : )
@dartmonkey can someone give Damien McFerran a bonus!! The pictures in this article are out of this world!!!! ❤︎♥︎❤︎
I think there's a few very silly elements present when comparing the Switch 2 to the Steam Deck, even it is superior because;
1. Console life cycles are around 7/8 years, PC Handhelds are far shorter. Even when you factor in pricings, iterations of the same PC Handhelds are known to drive down the prices of the previous. The original ASUS ROG ALLY for example, has been driven down by the X iteration.
2. Nintendo has been around for ages, but the PC Handhelds are barely past being old enough to walk.
3. The PC library outlclasses Nintendo in variety, period. There is simply no debating this one.
4. Nintendo will never allow emulation and/or modding (case in point, article published today on the 17k lawsuit), placing it at a permanent disadvantage to those who resent being told what they can or cannot do on something they have paid for.
5. PC handhelds are mini-PCs with all the advantages that come with that simple fact.
Human beings these days... Imagine defending a company for robbing you of possibilities so they can have a monopoly on your wallet. No wait, you don't have to imagine it.

@rvcolem1 Is Sister Splinter the white one that fights like a fencer?
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong's Upcoming Patch Will Nerf The Difficulty In Certain Areas
@Yosti This game is more difficult than Hollow Knight by a long shot.
