Re: Random: Sakurai Gives Some Workplace Advice That We All Need To Heed

Lightsiyd

@Coffee-Waffle It's not explicitly stated. However, this is a life-experience type video, and it resonates with my personal experiences.

When you have conflicts with people in a professional setting, or even in group projects in college-level education and beyond, how you approach such conflicts is critically important. Even if you're even-tempered by nature, a willingness to resolve conflicts through discourse on your part does not mean there'll be an equal willingness on the other side.

Moreover, Sakurai is not advocating conflict avoidance or is he against expressing opinions and critiques, especially not where it concerns the job at hand. If you watch the video, you'll see that he's talking more about being conscientious in your behaviour and having a decent amount of tolerance for others.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (31st August)

Haven't played much lately, apart from finishing Cat Quest III and making some progress on Child of Light. I've mostly been completely absorbed in a certain Xianxia novel... but I see myself playing some Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia soon

Cat Quest III takes the crown of being the open world game I've enjoyed the most as well as one of the ones I can easily return to after completing. I'm actually still more drawn to it than Child of Light, even though Child of Light is pretty engaging itself.

Happy gaming, everyone!! ❤︎♥︎❤︎

Re: Sonic 3 Movie Director Reflects On "Full Circle" Shadow The Hedgehog Moment

@SalvorHardin Agreed. Sonic Adventure 2 is a true gem. It's in large part what made me view the Dreamcast very favorably. The varied aspects of gameplay the other characters provided were very fun and interesting, and it all served to emphasize the two main characters of the show further when they were on their levels.

Even the side-by-side comparison of Shadow's movement in Sonic X Shadow Generations vs Adventure 2 demonstrates your point about subsequent games being watered down. So much so that it's a factor in my decision not to get Generations.

@Bratwurst35 Strongly disagree. Played Sonic Adventure 2 this year and had just as much fun as when I first played it on the Dreamcast. Whether you're playing as Sonic, Shadow, Dr Eggman, Rouge, or Knuckle, the game is fun. I have not enjoyed the 2d games I tried, but I definitely enjoyed Adventure 2. Even if you want to talk about it from a sales standpoint, the sales of the game from the Dreamcast era were half a million and the Game Cube port was more than triple that.

Edginess with a good story to back it up means it has substance, else you might as well call all good backstories lacking in substance. What you're describing is your subjective sensibilities, not objective quality. And Shadow's reason for being edgy has a respectable foundation behind it that is relatable and not subjective. Also, I was NOT discussing Shadow the Hedgehog (game)
