Re: Random: The Official Kirby Website Briefly Had A Kafka-esque Section

@KartLover_BadPC LOL I know. Who gives a ***** about the Kafka conversation. Can we remember this is possibly a sign of a future game announcement. 😆 Take that boring ***** to a literature forum.

@Lyricana I think as long as they retain abilities and movements for those abilities then I am more then okay with them taking other risks like 3D and so on. I also think it will retain its Kirby spirit if action and abilities can still play a part in the platforming.

Very strange but very funny. I can't wait for all the 30 year anniversary surprises or announcements.

I've been a fan of Kirby since Dreamland on the Gameboy. I always had to hope my brother would play nes with me because he always got the gift of video games. It was assumed to be more for boys but I liked games too! It wasn't until later that my parents gave me a console (handheld) too and I got a Gameboy color with a copy Of Kirby's Dreamland. At the time the game seemed so difficult but I kept playing until I beat the main mode and extra mode. It's a game I can now beat in a matter of minutes but it was the stepping stone I needed to be able to play other games. It helped me develop cordination early to enjoy some other platformer and adventure titles.

Kirby is a great entry level series. It's still fun for me and the extra modes are challenging. It's almost as old as I am now. For awhile there was that drought after Sakurai left when there was no console title for over 10 years. For a while I was worried but the series found its way back under Hal Developers who wanted to see Kirby come back. You can tell how much HAL loves Kirby by all the throw backs and messages in the Kirby games.

Re: Soapbox: Indies Lead The Way But Nintendo Shows Progress Representing People Of Colour

I'm not even gonna read the other comments. Just wanted to say the article is cool and also awesome you mentioned Dandara! I think that game is great! I enjoyed it so much that I bought it physical! Underrated and very challenging metroidvania. Indies are killing it with more rep. Nintendo is improving. Pokemon in particular has been killing it with also body and age diversity having older gym leaders and chubbier characters. Opal and Melody!! It's getting there for sure. It's definitely a huge improvement since when I was a kid. I only had a variety of male Hollywood style characters to choose from or a lady in a bikini. Now I can actually create my character in some games. It's made gaming more immersive AND more fun. I'm happy with games evolution. We getting some of the best games from the indie scene too. It's a great time for games! That's not to say improvements can't be made but the progress has been good to see. Support indies!!

Re: Video: Here's Digital Foundry's Technical Analysis Of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD On Nintendo Switch

I liked Skyward Sword. Might be one of my fave Zelda games lol. I had no real issue with the motion. I think the only motion that gave me a problem was a stab motion I needed to preform during one particular boss fight. Everything else, no issue. It's such a cool game too when you think of how unique the experience is. There will be more open world games that all share a lot but there will never be another game like Skyward Sword. The combat was cool and the dungeons were good. I'm gonna see if I can get my brother to buy it for me for my upcoming birthday. Maybe.

Re: Sakurai Reminds Us There's Only One DLC Fighter Left For Smash Ultimate (Again)

Tbh, GOOD. The characters that are most iconic are in. Recent additions like Sephiroth and Kazuya are impressive and iconic to gaming but other characters from more recent titles feel like they are just playable advertisements for whatever game was out at the time. With no where near the pedigree, history or impact of the characters originally on the roaster. It kills the game's museum, creme de la creme vibe. At this point we're scrapping the bottom of the barrel for some of these "icons". Also I always wish all the effort put on new character went to new modes or actual game play stuff instead but that never happened. Oh well. Sakurai. I'm all for you being done and taking a long break.

Re: Tekken's Kazuya Gets Added To The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Mural

@MrGawain just because YOU don't recognize him doesn't mean plenty of us don't. Tekken is a super famous series from way on the original Playstation as well as an arcade game. I'm 33 years old and I Def knew who Kazuya was from having played games since before the PS1 Era and having been at arcades. You all will be like "who even knows this character!?" any time a character older then Steve comes out as if there weren't a brilliant age of arcades and other instances when genres beyond battle royales dominated
