I don't like this game's particular chili style tbh. I'm also not super into buying a remake so I'm definitely more excited for the other open world title.
@Prizm I can't imagine that trans women out number cis women in any aspect of the gaming world or any career given their additional disadvantages. They might just be of note now due to efforts to finally acknowledge them.
@Tobiaku rather have no fanservice, personally. What turns on the easily titillated comes off as cheap nonsense to me and turns me off from the experience. Also not into underaged characters.
They're cute. I should play the first one. Always hoped it would get cheaper but always seemed full price whenever I remembered to check. I just got the dlc for Streets of Rage 4 also so might wait a bit more still.
Nice. I’ve played animal crossing the most on the system, myself. It’s a great game to unwind to. I bet she’s super busy but hope she has a moment to relax when she can and chill on her island.
@KartLover_BadPC LOL I know. Who gives a ***** about the Kafka conversation. Can we remember this is possibly a sign of a future game announcement. 😆 Take that boring ***** to a literature forum.
@Lyricana I think as long as they retain abilities and movements for those abilities then I am more then okay with them taking other risks like 3D and so on. I also think it will retain its Kirby spirit if action and abilities can still play a part in the platforming.
Very strange but very funny. I can't wait for all the 30 year anniversary surprises or announcements.
I've been a fan of Kirby since Dreamland on the Gameboy. I always had to hope my brother would play nes with me because he always got the gift of video games. It was assumed to be more for boys but I liked games too! It wasn't until later that my parents gave me a console (handheld) too and I got a Gameboy color with a copy Of Kirby's Dreamland. At the time the game seemed so difficult but I kept playing until I beat the main mode and extra mode. It's a game I can now beat in a matter of minutes but it was the stepping stone I needed to be able to play other games. It helped me develop cordination early to enjoy some other platformer and adventure titles.
Kirby is a great entry level series. It's still fun for me and the extra modes are challenging. It's almost as old as I am now. For awhile there was that drought after Sakurai left when there was no console title for over 10 years. For a while I was worried but the series found its way back under Hal Developers who wanted to see Kirby come back. You can tell how much HAL loves Kirby by all the throw backs and messages in the Kirby games.
I love customization. I have a lot of fun alone on creating characters or environments in games. I get the criticism in more narrative driven games but it's a feature that's an absolute joy in most all other games.
Loving this game! Pretty late into it and what a pleasure to revisit! I forgot how much personality this title has! I miss all the npcs being so varied and having their own thing. I missed the temples being so distinct too.
@CharlieGirl not at all. Wtf. Lol I'm very hyped for Silksong. I loved Hollow Knight and so did many others. Why you think that's not real is complete delusion.
@RadioHedgeFund meh on Epic Yarn but the rest, YES. I actually have yet to play Sin and Punishment 2. It was given to me as a birthday gift but just never got around to it. Still it’s Treasure so I KNOW it’s good.
I’m playing Skyward Sword HD and it’s a great upgrade of the original but imho the motion controls don’t compare to the Wii Motion+ I think the motion bar really helps. You don’t have to keep adjusting the centering as much. I’d love a port of wii sports resort. It’s a great compilation of games but I’m not 100% on Switch’s motion.
I would not watch that. I liked the boss fights in his games but everything about its style is so annoying to me. I can't imagine watching a No More Hereos show. Ugh.
Not a fan of the way the game looks at all. Characters look like funko pops which is ew. Also I'm more interested in a new experience so more intrigued by the other game. Here's hoping it's not rushed and messy.
Nice! I bought this game and thought it was decent fun. The mythology and all the voice work was the most stand out stellar part of it. Nice to see it get a polish.
@UglyCasanova other genders have existed in other cultures and gender nonconforming people have existed in western societies too. India and native tribes (two spirit) for example. For centuries. Do better research. Just cause it's new to you doesn't mean it's actually new. It's not. At all.
@Jey887 hit that ignore button hard for some of these frequent idiots. Gamers are so annoying you gotta sift through the garbage sometimes. Ignoring good chunk of the folks here will improve this site tenfold. Still not an excuse for improved moderation but something in the meanwhile.
I'm not even gonna read the other comments. Just wanted to say the article is cool and also awesome you mentioned Dandara! I think that game is great! I enjoyed it so much that I bought it physical! Underrated and very challenging metroidvania. Indies are killing it with more rep. Nintendo is improving. Pokemon in particular has been killing it with also body and age diversity having older gym leaders and chubbier characters. Opal and Melody!! It's getting there for sure. It's definitely a huge improvement since when I was a kid. I only had a variety of male Hollywood style characters to choose from or a lady in a bikini. Now I can actually create my character in some games. It's made gaming more immersive AND more fun. I'm happy with games evolution. We getting some of the best games from the indie scene too. It's a great time for games! That's not to say improvements can't be made but the progress has been good to see. Support indies!!
I liked Skyward Sword. Might be one of my fave Zelda games lol. I had no real issue with the motion. I think the only motion that gave me a problem was a stab motion I needed to preform during one particular boss fight. Everything else, no issue. It's such a cool game too when you think of how unique the experience is. There will be more open world games that all share a lot but there will never be another game like Skyward Sword. The combat was cool and the dungeons were good. I'm gonna see if I can get my brother to buy it for me for my upcoming birthday. Maybe.
I like Monster Hunter games but this game just did not appeal to me. The cheesy jrpg story stuff and monster rpg thing just wasn't swaying me. I has my doubts this was going yo attract folks like Rise did. Unfortunately for the series my feelings were confirmed. Should make it cheaper sooner tho for those who are interested in this.
I really liked Skyward Sword. It had my favorite combat in the series. Ppl saying this the worst Zelda, can't say I agree. I actually finished this game while Minishcap or phantom hourglass got so dull I never bothered.
Kirby's Air Ride got Medicore reviews when it came out but that game's city trial mode is the stuff of legends. Everyone I know who remembers that mode had nothing but positive and glowing opinions.
Tbh, GOOD. The characters that are most iconic are in. Recent additions like Sephiroth and Kazuya are impressive and iconic to gaming but other characters from more recent titles feel like they are just playable advertisements for whatever game was out at the time. With no where near the pedigree, history or impact of the characters originally on the roaster. It kills the game's museum, creme de la creme vibe. At this point we're scrapping the bottom of the barrel for some of these "icons". Also I always wish all the effort put on new character went to new modes or actual game play stuff instead but that never happened. Oh well. Sakurai. I'm all for you being done and taking a long break.
It’s not virtue signaling. They revised their policies to include more protections and sharing that. Plain and simple. Lol people just mad Nintendo is “woke” when really they are just doing what’s proper.
I’m glad they revised their policy to include not outing people. DO NOT just out ppl against their will. Never know what their home and family situation is like so best to play it safe.
@MrGawain just because YOU don't recognize him doesn't mean plenty of us don't. Tekken is a super famous series from way on the original Playstation as well as an arcade game. I'm 33 years old and I Def knew who Kazuya was from having played games since before the PS1 Era and having been at arcades. You all will be like "who even knows this character!?" any time a character older then Steve comes out as if there weren't a brilliant age of arcades and other instances when genres beyond battle royales dominated
Imho Sonic Colors is the best 3D Sonic game. Nice simple concepts and story. Very concise. Very competent unlike the other modern titles. This is super nice.
Ha, Pokemon Ultra Sun is my favorite game in the series but also enjoying shield. Never caught a shiny in Ultra Sun tho. I'm trying in shield with no luck. Have attacked 1000 Buneary

Re: Talking Point: Which Video Game Song Could You Listen To For Ten Hours?
I listen to a lot of Kirby music tbh so I've probably already listened to hours of that. Especially the Astral Birth Void theme.
Also like the soundtracks to games like Furi, Ridge Racer 4, Gate of Thunder, Jet Set Radio, and Undertale.
