@nocdaes i have no idea what you are talking about. I've been a fan since the original Dreamland and I think Forgotten Land is stellar and refreshing. It's still very much Kirby but making adjustments to those ideas in 3D.
@Funneefox I love all that chaos of the original. You're supposed to use that guard button and really maneuver. I prefer the og KSS for sure and I had no trouble with Great Cave Offensive. It's mostly obvious where you have to go and more demanding sections like the castle are completely optional. Hell getting 100% is optional. It's pretty forgiving game but fun for folks like me who like to really complete it. I do think kSSU does make things easier for newcomers and easier to recommend. Heck even stars stuck around longer on the stage for easy grab moves. Still both KSS and KSSU are good. I prefer the og for sure tho.
@Kerby2000 Dreamland 3 and Kirby 64 would better if collection and movement weren’t a pain. Great music sure but to actually move in a game, with Kirby feeling like bricks for shoes or weird momentum, it was not pleasant. I actually love how Forgotten Land does the exploration and atmosphere of those games but with the smoother movement of the other titles. It’s that style done right imo.
Kirby Super Star is still my favorite for it’s impact on the series. It’s like the Kirby version of this franchise’s Mario 3 or Super Metroid. It introduced so much and is still such a retro classic. However I’ve been playing Forgotten Land and ya know what, sure. It’s REALLY GOOD.
Forgotten Land is my favorite modern title and I’m not even done with it. Phenomenal job, HAL
Kirby and the Forgotten Land! I beat Starscourge Radahn in Elden Ring but Elden Ring is officially paused for Kirby. I may not go back to Elden Ring until I 100% Kirby. Which turns out won’t be easy, have to complete the level challenges, some I haven’t figured out, and do no hit boss challenges too. Also having a blast trying to beat the times in the treasure road stages.
@Benji80 I’ve recently beat Sekiro twice. Both on PS4 and PS5 and I love Kirby games. I’m playing Elden Ring now and going to be playing Forgotten Land this weekend.
People aren’t softer now or harder then. Ppl just play more games and dont give a crap about this cornball mentality.
Also games weren’t harder to test your skills. They were harder to rip you off and get more money out of you lol.
@DreamlandGem the Star Allies Soul Melter arena was NASTY. Especially if you solo it. Last time I played it me and my friend did co-op suplex ability only. It was A BLAST.
Kirby and Elden Ring do truly compliment each other. Both have their difficulty levels ppl complain about but they also have their target audiences and stick to their styles. Big fan of Kirby and Souls and like that they stick to their creative guns.
Also Kirby games have fun BRUTAL boss runs with a secret boss at the end usually. So hyped for that. The Star Allies one was nasty. Bullet Hell SHUMP boss.
@SpeedRunRocks Kirby Super Star is my favorite Kirby game and that game is still cute and has soft spots like Kirby feeding baby birds and healing his friends 😘
I for one am glad we are MOSTLY over this edgy time in advertising Kirby. Kirby's allowed to just be his cute self in ads now. Was done with that insecure nonsense about manning up a pink ball. Just play the games if you like them and don't worry about it. Kirby is awesome!
@daveMcFlave No its great against bosses also. Bosses drop stars which suplex could pick up and throw back at them for good damage. I do arena runs with suplex across games. It's fun if you want to try it.
NO Ninja or Suplex? Those are way more fun then mini which is just being small. They had Great moveset or use in the Arenas.
Yo-yo and Ice deserve love too and of the new powers Doctor is awesome. Mirror is classic of course.
I basically love all the powers with a grab move in their moveset, honestly. Grabs allow you to get a hold of dropped stars for powerful damage in boss fights. Very fun in arena runs.
@ModdedInkling Not sure how he will be involved in a concert unless he’s a musician. I imagine he will be present or in the audience. Maybe he’ll go there with the Kirby voice actress as I’ve seen them do events like go to the Kirby Cafe.
I'm so hyped to watch this and listen to my fave tunes. I'm glad ppl overseas will be able to watch it. I wish it was sooner then August but honestly gives me more Kirby joy to anticipate this fine 30th year.
God I'm so hyped. I wish I wasn't at work to have more time to play it 😢 I will play the demo on my break and afterwards. I pretty much expected it would be more like 3D Land and I have no problem with that at all.
I own SO MANY Kirby plush. I have that Marx-hat Kirby plush and Marx plush because I love Kirby Superstar so much too. Also have that 30th Anniversary plush pre-ordered. I have Magolor also. I really want a Whispy Woods and Kracko plush as well but jeez.. I need room for me on my bed lol 😆
I really wish they would spend more time on the graphical design and details tbh. I REALLY enjoyed Legends Arceus and had fun playing it but Imagine that gameplay with more details and polish. Would be extra special. I have no problem waiting at all. Sure it'll be fun if it's like this game but it could be even more amazing if there was some patience and extra care.
@nocdaes There will be two modes available from the start according to website
‘’Float over obstacles and fight through enemies on your way to each stage’s goal as you slash, poke, freeze, and hammer using Kirby’s copy abilities. The tough puff is truly put to the test in dynamic boss battles that will keep you dancing about the arena. Choose from two difficulty modes for either a light, breezy adventure or a more challenging experience”
I'm a big Souls and Kirby fan so Elden Ring and Kirby and the Forgotten Land are my most anticipated games this year (as well as Silksong if that ever gets announced)
So I definitely excited. I'm calling it now but Elden Ring is going to win game of the year with this hype and these good scores.
Kirby doing weird things with his form has been around for awhile now. Whether it was sucking up whole giant monsters like in Triple Deluxe or ripping his face off and throwing a version of it with teeth in K64. 🤷♀️ Sakurai himself had a horror game idea for Kirby with Marx's original design being scarier. He referred to Kirby as the "pink demon". The current director Shinya Kumazaki is just expanding on these ideas and the image and funny concept of Kirby being one of Nintendo's cutest yet very powerful characters. Showing all the ways he can be molded and stretched with no problem.
Kirby Superstar is my most replayed SNES game. The way it had co-op platforming in this style before Mario, the introduction of movesets, the bold change in progression with varied modes instead. All of which still feel like Kirby yet change things up. It's super action packed and just an absolute blast to play through again.
Also the game is a huge influence on how Smash Brother plays.
Just an awesome game. Deserves top ten and more. Very awesome.
God the characters looks so much better… thank god. I actually skipped 2 cause I was too embarrassed 😳 These kids look like hip crew tho. Might come back and buy Xenoblade game again.
@Franc001 I'm sorry you feel that way but know that HAL is handling this and they are pretty awesome with fanservice and it's not like Nintendo has to lift many fingers on their part. I love DK too and hope to hear of a new game soon but LOVE Kirby and happy to see it get love on it's 30th. Hope the rumors of a new DK game are true.
@ReaperMelia sure np 😊 I'd love to share Kirby information.
Be cool if Nintendolife.com could report this stuff too. They'll post about a new Pokemon shirt that's coming out by some brand So maybe they can mention Kirby's 30th anniversary stuff? 😶 I get Pokemon is bigger but this is news for an anniversary and Kirby's got fans.
Anyway plenty of stuff coming out sporting the new design featuring the 30th anniversary graphic. This includes Switch cases and protector. These can be ordered over at play-asia
