Re: Best Kirby Games Of All Time

@nocdaes i have no idea what you are talking about. I've been a fan since the original Dreamland and I think Forgotten Land is stellar and refreshing. It's still very much Kirby but making adjustments to those ideas in 3D.

@Funneefox I love all that chaos of the original. You're supposed to use that guard button and really maneuver. I prefer the og KSS for sure and I had no trouble with Great Cave Offensive. It's mostly obvious where you have to go and more demanding sections like the castle are completely optional. Hell getting 100% is optional. It's pretty forgiving game but fun for folks like me who like to really complete it. I do think kSSU does make things easier for newcomers and easier to recommend. Heck even stars stuck around longer on the stage for easy grab moves. Still both KSS and KSSU are good. I prefer the og for sure tho.

@Kerby2000 Dreamland 3 and Kirby 64 would better if collection and movement weren’t a pain. Great music sure but to actually move in a game, with Kirby feeling like bricks for shoes or weird momentum, it was not pleasant. I actually love how Forgotten Land does the exploration and atmosphere of those games but with the smoother movement of the other titles. It’s that style done right imo.

Kirby Super Star is still my favorite for it’s impact on the series. It’s like the Kirby version of this franchise’s Mario 3 or Super Metroid. It introduced so much and is still such a retro classic. However I’ve been playing Forgotten Land and ya know what, sure. It’s REALLY GOOD.

Forgotten Land is my favorite modern title and I’m not even done with it. Phenomenal job, HAL

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 26th)

Kirby and the Forgotten Land! I beat Starscourge Radahn in Elden Ring but Elden Ring is officially paused for Kirby. I may not go back to Elden Ring until I 100% Kirby. Which turns out won’t be easy, have to complete the level challenges, some I haven’t figured out, and do no hit boss challenges too. Also having a blast trying to beat the times in the treasure road stages.

Re: Review: Kirby And The Forgotten Land - A Breezy Delight With Mario-Level Invention

@Benji80 I’ve recently beat Sekiro twice. Both on PS4 and PS5 and I love Kirby games. I’m playing Elden Ring now and going to be playing Forgotten Land this weekend.

People aren’t softer now or harder then. Ppl just play more games and dont give a crap about this cornball mentality.

Also games weren’t harder to test your skills. They were harder to rip you off and get more money out of you lol.

Re: The First Review For Kirby And The Forgotten Land Is Now In

Kirby and Elden Ring do truly compliment each other. Both have their difficulty levels ppl complain about but they also have their target audiences and stick to their styles. Big fan of Kirby and Souls and like that they stick to their creative guns.

Also Kirby games have fun BRUTAL boss runs with a secret boss at the end usually. So hyped for that. The Star Allies one was nasty. Bullet Hell SHUMP boss.

Re: Feature: The 20 Best Kirby Copy Abilities

NO Ninja or Suplex? Those are way more fun then mini which is just being small. They had Great moveset or use in the Arenas.
Yo-yo and Ice deserve love too and of the new powers Doctor is awesome. Mirror is classic of course.

I basically love all the powers with a grab move in their moveset, honestly. Grabs allow you to get a hold of dropped stars for powerful damage in boss fights. Very fun in arena runs.

@nocdaes There will be two modes available from the start according to website

‘’Float over obstacles and fight through enemies on your way to each stage’s goal as you slash, poke, freeze, and hammer using Kirby’s copy abilities. The tough puff is truly put to the test in dynamic boss battles that will keep you dancing about the arena. Choose from two difficulty modes for either a light, breezy adventure or a more challenging experience”

Re: Random: Brighten Your Beloved's Valentine's Day With A Downloadable Kirby Card

Kirby doing weird things with his form has been around for awhile now. Whether it was sucking up whole giant monsters like in Triple Deluxe or ripping his face off and throwing a version of it with teeth in K64. 🤷‍♀️ Sakurai himself had a horror game idea for Kirby with Marx's original design being scarier. He referred to Kirby as the "pink demon". The current director Shinya Kumazaki is just expanding on these ideas and the image and funny concept of Kirby being one of Nintendo's cutest yet very powerful characters. Showing all the ways he can be molded and stretched with no problem.

I think it's great and it's very much Kirby lol.

Re: Every Nintendo Switch Online SNES Game Ranked

Kirby Superstar is my most replayed SNES game. The way it had co-op platforming in this style before Mario, the introduction of movesets, the bold change in progression with varied modes instead. All of which still feel like Kirby yet change things up. It's super action packed and just an absolute blast to play through again.

Also the game is a huge influence on how Smash Brother plays.

Just an awesome game. Deserves top ten and more. Very awesome.
