I don’t care for any of the expected smash characters. I hope it’s something so outta left field that the reaction is a wild one. Someone no asked for. Will watch for Sakurai tho.
Haha I’m about to reach 1500 hours in AC. I play for a few minutes every now and then, gift my villagers things, let my mom fish in the game, put out my Halloween decorations, designed a new shirt recently, love to take cute pics of the villagers etc. I def want a significant update tho waiting for this new one.
This trailer is exclusively a movement showcase for fans worried about the transition. Also things will definitely change between now and spring next year so I'll await the next trailer closer to release.
Also as a fan since the first game, it was a momentous reveal for the franchise and I'm happy at the step taken regardless. Very excited to pick it up. I need to finish Sekiro, Samus Returns, etc games. I also want to do a solo ability run in Kirby Star Allies' Soul Melter EX mode too before the game comes out. It's gonna be a good kind of hell I suppose.
Kirby 64 only feels fresh in comparison because there have been several of the modern titles which are more recent memory but K64 is no different then any of the dreamland games directed by the same guy. All linear collection titles that contain single power moves. They even all have combinations in a sense you just did it with an animal pal rather then alone in K64. I have nostalgia for the game but rather play Planet Robobot by a long shot. I love the powers having movesets and glad Kirby doesn’t move that miserably sluggish again.
I don't mind the aesthetic change and post apocalyptic setting as humans are confirmed mostly gone in the Kirbyverse. Also it's still very charming and colorful which is a nice twist on the often dreary depicted cliche.
As a long time fan I'm very excited. I really can't wait to find out more about possible post game modes if they have any and further details on later enemies, bosses and worlds. The games usually start off chill and in a green area then get real strange and cosmic by the end. It's always a treat.
@dkxcalibur I don't think Kirby is anything like Mario. Mario is a precision platformer while Kirby is an action platformer. Never felt they were alike.
@NatiaAdamo google doesn’t claim that. @gcunit no but if you see multiple reports with folks who spoke to those ppl reporting on the same thing from sites with editors and actual reporters, then I think you have a pattern.
Im just saying ppl can do the work. Also besides all that garbage Chris is just a terrible pick the role and literally has it because he starred in other recent media.
@Bolt_Strike I'm okay with that. I very much enjoyed 3D world. Just played that with my friends. Linear doesn't equal bad. Just more concentrated. Could also lead to open world in the future. This first step is still important.
I'm impressed tbh. It must have been such a task to translate Kirby's abilities into 3D considering the greater directional mobility now. Add Kirby's ability to suck things up and his other movement quirks, it's very cool. This looks like just the first world of the game and we still don't know the other levels and abilities that have all been brought over to this game. He also thankfully moves pretty smooth and quicker then sluggish games like K64 where he moved like he had bricks for feet.
@Purgatorium that's because gamers in general think there's a template in which all games need to be based on. They forget that there are different audiences and levels, etc. I also find it perplexing. It's always weird in general when ppl both complain a game is too hard or too easy. Chances are there's a reason why Dark Souls with its heavy atmosphere wants to evoke some helplessness while Kirby with its more cheerful inviting style wants you to just experience a power trip. If they added higher difficulty I wouldn't mind but I never hated on Kirby for prioritizing its goal. Kirby helped me be the Soulslike player I am now, a new audience deserves that joy and to develop that cordination. HAL LABS is always considerate to older fans by adding collection, post game content, and harder and harder boss rushes. It's cool. This new game might have more modes. I don't know yet!
@Purgatorium I like hard games and I still like Kirby because Kirby is more of "How you play it" kind of game. I mean I'm playing through Sekiro and up to the boss fight with my father atm. I've played a version on Dark Souls where being cursed as a status aliment STACKED, I've played through Hollow Knight multiple times.
Kirby has stuff going on under the surface but yes it's main goal is to get new folks into gaming. Still enjoy it!
@Snatcher to Star Allies credit it has the hardest bosses in the series when doing soul melter boss run. Very brutal. The game campaign was easier tho due to the fact that the director wanted to play the game with his very young daughter. The game was also lacking at launch but now we see why. They were working on this but still wanted to put out out a fanservice tribute for the 25th anniversary. So it runs on similar framework as the previous games. It's definitely juicier for long time fans but I'd recommend Planet Robobot over it to any reg player dipping into the series. Understandable tho. I didn't mind it but I needed palette cleanser between bouts of Dark Souls but I get ppl needed more. I do think it's a weaker entry to the previous games in the same style but overall still really enjoyed aspects of it and all the post game stuff.
@chipia lol you should really play Kirby Star Allies soloing an ability in Soul Melter. It makes Adventure's bosses look nothing and they certainly not hard to begin with.
@TSR3 great entry level series with challenging post game modes and boss rushes and great charm and tunes. It's been around for 30 years!!! It's doing something absolutely right. Ppl either don't get it or it's not for them but something doesn't survive 30 years without doing something right. Especially when it's 2nd party and not even one of Nintendo's more funded 1st party titles. Kirby is impressive. My fave series. This and Hollow Knight are my most anticipated games
@BloodNinja True Arena and Soul Melter is where the challenge is in a Kirby series but the series is entry level and the main campaigns are not meant to be very hard.
@Streetsoforion HAL works on Kirby exclusively so if you want new entries for those games then maybe they need their own 2nd party dedicated studios or Nintendo needs to put more towards them. More Kirby games isn't why you aren't getting F Zero. Kirby is quite popular in Japan
@chipia the nes game is very easy. Series is entry level and post game stuff is where the challenge is at. The later games are no less easy then Adventure lol.
@KirbysAdventure yup its a popularity contest between games that have sold outrageous numbers during a time of higher game purchases with bloated budgets and advertising behind them. It's a contest between one stack of money against another stack of money. Tbh this is why game award shows in general are zzzzzz
You can't have the general public vote for best games. They're idiots or too young to understand the impact of games historically in the medium. Also the idea of best games is wild. There are so many games for who their influence is far reaching or their genre particular that it would be a darn shame to leave many out.
This is just a popularity contest where a game like roblox could actually crush Mario 3 because a lot of ppl don't consume games as a fan of video gaming and more like fans of particular games.
I live in the US and I had to go to 3 different places to find Warioware. It was sold out! I played it with my mom and she loved it. Plan on playing it with friends too who already enjoyed the demo.
I'm not the biggest Metroid fan. I liked Super Metriod and have been mixed on every other Metroid. Prime was the other one I liked. The rest, not so much. My most anticipated metriodvania is actually Silksong because I LOVED Hollow Knight but I am actually interested in Dread. Playing through Return atm just so I'll be ready for Dread.
Thanks to this article I think I'm gonna go back and play some Kirby Clash. Played the ***** out of it when it came out. I feel like dropping in as doctor to help a team with those cool later bosses.
This is the 3D sonic game I liked the most tbh so I'm interested. I like a Sonic game with out all the obnoxious try hard edgy story nonsense and billion+ whatever characters.

@NatiaAdamo googled it and got oblate sphere and not frog but okay

@gcunit Yes the engine itself is not proof that’s why reports by those reporting on such matter is more valueable.

@NatiaAdamo google ain’t hard. You type those things in and presto.

Chris Pratt is terrible and literally is only in this movie because he’s a famous Chris and has been in other mainstream stuff.
