Re: Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER Gets New Trailer

Kirby_Girl

I played the first game so maybe ill play the sequel. I liked my robot partner a lot and wanted to help them. Sadly I maybe got the bad ending? I don't play many text games/point and click games so the fact I finished this one was miraculous. Ill find out more about the sequel before making a purchase.

Re: HAL Laboratory Looking Forward To Sharing Kirby's "Next Phase" With Fans

@avictorao ANYWAY...

Loved KSS and and the Sakuari directed games and I agree with @splubber They lying if they saying they got all the best People but Sakurai isn’t a part of it. UNLESS omg what if SURPRISE Sakurai secretly overseeing some aspect of this game. I doubt it. That man is too busy with Smash Bros still but a girl can dream! Even if just to give a bit of input.

Meh I still don't care for the game. I found the oceans a drab to explore . I did however liked the artsyle. I feel like back then ppl hated the art style because they wanted something "edgy" but since then ppl have eased up on that high school phase. Now its cool to like. Can't say I'm a fan of the exploration in this one tho.

Mayora's mask also got hate when it came out but I did like that one.

Re: Poll: Do You Like The Chibi Art Style In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl?

Kirby_Girl

It’s funny to me that Pokemon fans were ***** on Sword and Shield’s graphics because of the trees even tho imho the game generally looks good overall, has some nice sets and fine art direction even if it’s not the sharpest title on the platform. Yet they really giving the diamond pearl artstyle a pass. I personally don’t like the way the games looks tbh. Looks like some goofball funko pop style but it’s fine because I’m more interested in the new title. I think a nicer chibi style exists in Zeld’a Link’s Awakening remake. Truly it’s the nostalgia.

Re: Introducing Pokémon Legends: Arceus, An Open-World Prequel To Diamond And Pearl

Kirby_Girl

Pokemon Sword and Shield are not bad games. I'm probably in the minority but I've enjoyed the new Pokemon games more and so I'm definitely excited for this. One of the reasons I fell out of Pokemon later in life (aside from getting older) was feeling the games were all the same. The new games infused new personality into the titles as well as new features and QOL improvements. Also seeing the Pokemon in 3D was awesome! Part of me still wishes more aspects of the gameplay and progression felt new but at least I was playing the games again and liking it.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Next Free Update Arrives This Week

Kirby_Girl

@johnvboy Tbh I haven't been into AC since the Gamecube one. This was the first one since that clicked. I don't want to go back to before you terraform. Also I think those comparing AC to minecraft are a bit ludicrous. Minecraft's simple graphics allow for the terraforming options it has. No way AC can work like Minecraft. Nor is AC an adventure game.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Next Free Update Arrives This Week

Kirby_Girl

@rjejr I love this

Also I’m probably the few ppl still playing the game often. I really enjoy rearranging island decor and polishing my town. I’ve also enjoyed making clothes, photo shoots, moving my villagers, getting events to look forward to. I have over 1200 hours lol. However I agree that it’s time for a an update like mini games, more dialogue, gyroids, and possible another island. Here’s hoping!

Re: Review: Calico - Bursting With Heart, But Crippled By Bugs

Kirby_Girl

@Mr-Fuggles777 I never made an assumption. I still think a person who has to ask this is still ignoring some lived experiences. If it only mattered to you because you only cared about it to bed someone then I think that's missing out on the experiences I mentioned where it can cone up. Such as relationships outside of bedding someone. Meeting ppl's family and other such examples I mentioned. Game mentions quest and one of them is making a cake for a couple. If the couple HAPPENS to be gay then that's how it would come up.

Re: Review: Calico - Bursting With Heart, But Crippled By Bugs

Kirby_Girl

@Mr-Fuggles777 that's not at all how being gay works lol. Our sexuality may come up in a variety of ways outside of a date. Like when introducing your partner, events or policies you support may give it away, even self expression if you are the type of lgbt person who is gender non confirming. Etc etc. Like yes being gay isn't the only part of our identity but you would be surprised in the variety of ways it comes out or is just stated by simply existing as an lgbt person. If ppl ask if you have kids or why not. Why your kids may not look like you if they are adopted, if they see you going home with your partner etc, So many things can come up.

Re: Review: Calico - Bursting With Heart, But Crippled By Bugs

Kirby_Girl

@StefanN hm, sometimes there's that vibe based on the common jokes and perceptions. Which isn't bad. It's a way the group bonds and forms culture but when you are different in ANY group regardless if its lgbt or not you can feel a little out of it. Not like anyone is forcing me out or like there is some bouncer at the door. Just personal feeling. I don't feel wronged by the community at all. Its a force of nature like a wave of water that follows a flow. Sometimes I just feel like I'm on the beach tho.

Re: Review: Calico - Bursting With Heart, But Crippled By Bugs

Kirby_Girl

@Ryu_Niiyama Same! I'm so happy other folks are figuring themselves out and doing and expressing themselves as they like but the scene still makes me feel old or detached. At least our experiences aren't the only ones. Maybe ppl see us vanilla but you are right. There is inherent complexity in just who we are. Nice chat.

Re: Review: Calico - Bursting With Heart, But Crippled By Bugs

Kirby_Girl

@Ryu_Niiyama Very relatable because I also feel detached from the comm too. So many more labels for every inch of feeling. I just want to be plain ol me without thinking or having to analyze all that. I guess that doesn't make me radical enough but WHATEVER. Im older so I'm sure that has a lot to do with my attitude also.

Re: Review: Calico - Bursting With Heart, But Crippled By Bugs

Kirby_Girl

I love art of the characters but the actual in game graphics are not good imho. Its too bad because the ideas and inclusions are charming and compassionate and its got massive appeal. Especially to anyone into games like AC or Stardew. Its up my alley but I cannot get past its cheap look. I love the plump characters, the magical girl idea, floppy animals but these folks need ppl on the team with better programming polish and direction. I wish them luck on their next endeavour.

Re: Poll: What's The Best Kirby Game?

Kirby_Girl

@sketchturner All together the package is about as long as the standard Kirby game. I would say the modes are more robust to be called mini games. More like short games or chapters. I thought it was a bold way to do progression imho Each mode did something different whether it was a standard Mario 3 style map or even a collection Metroidvania type experience, it never veered from feeling like a Kirby game. I took it as Sakurai flexing and not compromising on his ideas. Not the standard big adventure but I like that about it. Oh well. Least we can agree on how superb Hollow Knight is.

Re: Poll: What's The Best Kirby Game?

Kirby_Girl

@underknown probably because K64 is sluggish and you actually have way less moves per abilities. I have nostalgia for that game and love the soundtrack but I def perfect other Kirby games.
