Re: Hands On: Watching Hulu on the Nintendo Switch

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Honestly, I think most of them were just trying to convince themselves that it was a good thing so that they wouldn't feel bad about the possibility that the Switch wouldn't get apps.

I can understand the argument that the Switch doesn't really need them because basically every other device already has them, but to argue that not getting them would have been a plus is the most absurd thing ever.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 to Get Japanese Voiceover Option in Free Launch DLC

KirbyTheVampire

@Anti-Matter I can see why some people like it, I just find it weird that such an overwhelming number of people prefer Japanese to other languages in so many games. It's not even limited to this game. I could understand it if people's taste in languages varied a little, but so many people prefer Japanese to everything else, and I just find it odd when there are so many other languages out there.

Maybe it's partly because a lot of people watch anime, which makes them more familiar with Japanese.

I understand why people would want to avoid the English version for this game though, because that is some pretty awful voice acting, at least judging by that one trailer.

Re: Talking Point: The Case for Super Mario Odyssey as the Greatest Mario Game

KirbyTheVampire

Way better than the Galaxy games, 2D Mario games, 3D Land/World, and 64, that's for sure. Not sure if it'll beat Sunshine as my favorite, since I'm only at the Metro Kingdom, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I think a decent amount of people will prefer the Galaxy games, and I don't understand why. I know it's all opinion, but those games are just so boring to me. So easy and simple, with planets that all blend together and aren't distinct at all. I can remember all of the worlds in 64 and Sunshine, but I couldn't tell you the name of a single planet in Galaxy 1 and 2.

Re: Talking Point: An Era Ends As Nintendo Continues to Ignore 3D on the 3DS

I've only seen the 3D effect for like a few seconds on a Gamestop employee's 3DS when it first came out, and while it was neat, I can't say the novelty ever went beyond "Huh, that's cool".

The Switch, on the other hand, totally blew my mind, especially since I hadn't been following the rumors at all, and I had no idea that mobile tech had even reached that point.
