Re: Feature: Every 3D Super Mario Game Ranked

KirbyTheVampire

I'm one of those weird people whose favorite has always been Sunshine ngl. I find the game incredibly cheerful and endearing, and I enjoy the fact that it has some semblance of a story, not to mention its "quests", which were disappointingly missing, for the most part, from subsequent 3D Mario games, in favor of standard collect-a-thon style structure.

@ThanosReXXX It's a reference to a running joke on Push Square. Not that many people here would get it though, seeing as only a few people from this site also use that one.

Re: Random: Praise The Bricks! Dark Souls Gets A LEGO Makeover

I don't see any reason to ban Anti-Matter. I don't agree with his opinion at all, and I find it pretty rediculous and over the top, but banning people just because we disagree with them is crossing the line. People should be free to express their honest opinion on things (within reason, of course. Obviously, serious hate speech should not be tolerated on this website). Otherwise, that's not freedom of speech at all.

His opinion and the way he expresses it is pretty out there, but he's not hurting anyone. Just leave him be.

As for the actual LEGO Dark Souls thing, that's extremely cool. I thought it was an actual game and got pretty hyped until I realized that it was a fan project.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Make Of The Three Big Pokémon Games Coming To Nintendo Switch?

KirbyTheVampire

@Mr_Pepperami I kind of doubt that E3 list. 2018 is pretty much packed, and they said it would be 2018 only when it comes to announcements. And plus, "Yoshi's Flipping Island" is a completely dismal name, and it kinda makes me doubt the whole thing, not to mention how easy it is for anyone to make a list like that.

It'd be cool if it was real, but I think we'll probably get something like 1 new big game at E3 in the form of something like Animal Crossing, Pikmin 4, or the rumored Star Fox Grand Prix. Who knows, though. It's extremely easy to be wrong when it comes to predicting Nintendo.

I don't think most people on sites like this are as excited for Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee as they are for the more hardcore 2019 title, but it's great for bringing in new people and selling millions of Switches. And more Switches sold means better first and third party support, so it's really a win for everyone involved. The casual people get their casual game, the hardcore people get their hardcore game in 2019, and Nintendo rakes in the money, gets a lot of new players (such as ones who were fans of Pokemon Go), and gives us a lot of great games as a result.

Sure, it's possible that the 2019 title will have "casualization" issues, but so far, it seems like it won't, or at the very least it'll be more aimed towards the hardcore fans than the Let's Go games are.

Re: Nintendo Labo Drops To Fourth (And 17th) In The Japanese Charts

KirbyTheVampire

Good. Nintendo needs to stop with their gimmicks and focus on stuff we want like, you know, actual games?

Sure, Labo has games, but most people agree that the majority of the fun comes from actually building the thing. The games themselves are very, very mediocre.

I don't know about you guys, but what happened to things like good old fashioned LEGO? What's the point of buying into an over-priced, fragile version of that?

Re: God Of War And Far Cry 5 Push Nintendo Labo Into Third Place In The UK Charts

KirbyTheVampire

@YummyHappyPills Probably true, but I'm just saying that for what you get, it's pretty darn pricey, especially since most of the fun seems to come from simply assembling everything, which can be done for much cheaper if you just buy some arts and crafts supplies and whatnot. Of course, I probably just think that way because I'm not a child anymore. I don't get how anyone who's not a child could want to spend 70 dollars on that, but to each his own.
