The Next European Splatfest is All About Breakfast

Speak for yourself. I thought the toilet paper theme was one of the most unique and clever yet. I was actually disappointed we didn't get it in North America.

If North America gets the same Splatfest I'm going warm for sure, gotta love them Pancakes and Bacon

I would pick both if that were an option. I think I'd lean towards warm, though. (Not that I'm participating in the European Splatfest anyway)

I don‘t have time for warm food like waffles, pancakes and the like nor would I eat stuff like that in the morning. Way too greasy and they make me feel tired. I think I‘ll go cold, just not the coffee please.

It's lame that Europe didn't get a Halloween splatfest. I could never say no to a hot breakfest, so I'd like that team to win.

@Dev You are from the US, so I'll just assume you've never eaten actual good bread, cheese or hack antipasti. There are so many amazing cold food options for breakfast and cereals isn't really one of them.

@scamander Well, you're from Germany, so I'll just assume that making assumptions based upon where someone is from is an utterly ridiculous thing to do.

Who eats breakfast? Ain't nobody got time fo' that.

For those deriding sausage or bacon for breakfast, it isn't like anyone is sitting down and eating a pound of bacon or 10 sausage links in one sitting. Typically its two or three pieces along with other things.

This news is a bit late... Anyway, team cold all the way. A cold breakfast feels to me more like breakfast than another meal. Besides... In the time that you save, you could play a turf war.

Uhhh... I would eat a pound of bacon in a sitting if I could.
(Then again, I don't have this game, and I'm American.)

I feel like this is the wrong question. When it comes to breakfast, the real question is: sweet or savoury? Hot or cold, just depends on time, place, climate and level of appetite.

@crimsontadpoles Maybe it's not so lame that Europe didn't get a Halloween splatfest. Out of 51 countries in Europe, only 9 celebrate it.

I actually really don't like the events being divided by region.

Cold for me. I drink breakfast smoothies with spinach, avocados, fruit, protein powder, etc.

and I don't have prejudices against the US, but I'll say this: Most of you don't have the ability to laugh about yourself. No German video on youtube without stupid Hitler comments by US-Americans, no American comedian who's not shouting like an idiot when saying German words (to underline what an aggressive language it is). It's all oh-so-funny, but god forgive someone makes a tongue-in-cheek comment about your horrendous bread and cheese.

A huge improvement over last Splatfest's topic. I'm always excited for Splatfest but when I saw the last one I really didn't even want to play because it was such an awful, awful theme. I'm happy with this one! Even though I didn't really know what to go for because I don't even really eat breakfast. But ultimately I chose cold, because I do love cereal, and that's what I mostly associate with breakfast, personally.

Anyway, to bring it to an end: There are lot of amazing food items and options in the US and due to the magnitude of influences from different cultures, the variety and quality of international cuisines is often unmatched. I want to make it clear I'm not hating on the US, but merely making a judgement of the bread and cheese available in the US. There are other things to be proud of, no need to take it personally.

I love myself some hash browns, eggs, and bacon. I hope this one comes to NA.

100% warm breakfast. cold breakfast is really only for when you don't have the time to cook. there are too many good things to cook for breakfast to have something cold. Eggs, toast, french toast, waffles, pancakes, buckle, the list goes on and on. And that's not including bacon or sausage.

That said, this is probably the main reason why some Americans would be all pissy on you. You're stating it as fact instead of it just being your opinion.
