Wow, some people are dead set on defending this game. Guys, give it another shot, removed from your nostalgia, and you'll see a 7/10 isn't harsh, it might even be too generous. This game is a long, slow and at times painful chore.
I voted for F-Zero GP Legend because I already got it, but I'll pick up Outrun 3D and double dip on Mighty Switch Force for 3DS tomorrow. The HD version on Wii U is excellent and very highly recommended!
Hindsight is 20-20, but perhaps this should've launched somewhere like the Wii U and built momentum there. PC is easy, but it isn't the be all and end all.
I adored this game and I really wish it had found its way to the Virtual Console. It's one of the rare N64 games that I think would have aged very well (but I'll admit I haven't played it in forever as I never did buy myself a copy. PIcked one up as a gift for family though.)
I really liked the game but they delayed the Wii U release by half a year and priced it at a huge premium over iOS and are disappointed with the sales? Yet another case of awful management sinking a great game, and one that has a natural home on the platform.
Put it on sale and I suspect a lot of people might give it a shot. It's still really expensive for a very short game.
This port is super sloppy and I can't believe the reviewer didn't mention this and gave the game 8/10. You can't post Miiverse screenshots half the time, characters don't appear during some cutscenes, the framerate is truly abysmal... there's just so many basic issues.
The game itself is fun but pretty shallow. That part of the review is spot on.
Are the pro controller or Wii remote compatible? I was a little annoyed that Lone Survivor only supported the GamePad, and this game has even simpler controls.
I played a little of this on Steam before it was announced for Wii U. I stopped playing it then. I'm not sure whether I want to get back to it on Steam or double dip. It's a fun little puzzle platformer, and the presentation of the story is really neat. The comparison to Portal is strange, but apt.
@Jahir Seriously. I wish Nintendo Life would get on some of these developers about this. All of a sudden indies just are not bothering releasing in Canada, like our money isn't good enough for them.
This review seems fair but if you're not going to get a Wii U (Shame on you!) you definitely should pick this cart up. It's not the definitive way to play NES Remix but you really shouldn't miss out because of that.
@Morph XType Plus is an excellent game at a very fair price, and made with the NWF. Nintendo has a Mario and Donkey Kong NWF demo that looks like it could see a proper release on Wii U.
Oh, good call on this. I got it in a Humble Bundle and I actually just started playing it yesterday. I was thinking, here's an indie game that would find fans on Wii U.
The only question is whether or not I should drop this thing now like a hot potato and get back to it on Wii U, or finish it and skip the port.
I'm way ahead of RCMADIAX on this one. I bought Blok Drop U on day one and I loved it but I'm not giving him any more money. I'm sick of all this shovelware and his petulent behaviour on the Internet.
The alpha is a lot of fun and while it needs some polish and a lot of tightening, it is of course an alpha and still far from release. I'm a little disappointed the article is so darn negative about the project because it's not "so bad it's good," it's just really fun to play.
I'm sorry but $15 for something that looks like it's made in RPG Maker, it's just not happening. I'm no graphics snob but this game has just looked to ugly to even consider, which is probably why it did so poorly on its Kickstarter campaign.

I was holding off to maybe get this at retail here in Canada and then it never came and I completely forgot about it.

OK but when will they be released?
Re: Interview: Aaron Hamel on Bringing the Mother Original Arranged Soundtrack to the West
If I could just back this thing on CD I'd be in. I don't understand why it needs to be so complicated. I don't have a turntable! Gimme a break

This is the dumbest excuse in the history of dumb excuses.

Great week for Europe! Hopefully it's as awesome across the Atlantic.

Re: Scram Kitty Developer Praises the Wii U and Mentions New Project
Scram Kitty has ensured that whatever else they release on Wii U gets bought Day 1 by me, so bring it on!
Re: Nintendo's Wii U TVii Service is Formally Cancelled in Europe
Put the Anime Channel on the Wii U as well and you Europeans are better off, believe me. TVii is pointless.

Re: Review: Meme Run (Wii U eShop)
The fact anyone felt the need to make this and so many people are buying this and posting about it on Miiverse is so very depressing.
I defended Ninja Pig insofar as their feud with Rcmadiax went and I regret that now.
Re: Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams GamePad Sound Patch Hitting North America In January
Awesome! Now can someone ask them to compress some data? The thing's like 3 GB.
@brandonbwii Ugh, yes, this too. That game is so close to an instant recommendation, too.

Re: Giana Sisters 2 In Development, Could Be Coming To Wii U As Early As Next Year
No patch, no DLC, no buy. I'm not buying a new game when you don't bother to support the old one.

Call Sega up and ask about the odds of a port. C'moooooon.
Re: Stealth Inc 2 Sneaking Onto the Wii U eShop on 23rd October
But where's the original?
Also, I realized I bought Lone Survivor in a Humble Bundle but I'd generally rather play a game like that on Wii U. Is it worth the double dip?
Re: Soapbox: Fan Expo 2014 - A Nintendo Fan's Experience
I would like to inform the author of this article that Starwhal was indeed playable at Fan Expo and is indeed coming to Wii U.

Nefarious needs to keep the momentum going, so if you want it, go out and back it!
I really hope Aegis Defenders comes to Wii U. It ended just $4,000 short of the stretch goal. Maybe Paypal donations will push it over.
Re: Weirdness: In An Alternate Universe Danny DeVito Would Have Starred in Super Mario Bros. The Movie

Re: Review: Jett Tailfin (Wii U eShop)
Games like this frustrate me. This would find an audience if they put any sort of care into it. (And charged something reasonable.)
Re: Fret Not, A World of Keflings Is Still On Its Way To The Wii U eShop
Buying. Just release it already!
