@Jazzer94 Nice. I have a giant tupperware box full of those toys from when I worked at Wendy's like 10 years ago. I keep waiting for the right time to sell them.
I cannot honestly believe people are still complaining about the Lobodestroyo stretch goals. Read the comments on the page. Read the bit on stretch goals at the bottom of page. Or heck, read the COMMENTS ABOVE YOURS that tell you they are changing them.
@hcfwesker You're in luck! From the project's Kickstarter page comments, straight from the admin:
"(We're) meeting tomorrow as a team to address the moving of Wii-U goal to proceed (sic: precede?) the Playstation and Xbox One stretches. More on this when we have it."
I'll probably kick my cash in on this once that happens, as the video really sold me, and Tadpole Treble seems like a safe back at $7. So Many Me looks great, but not my cup of tea. Best wishes to it, though.
@SCAR392 I beat it. Still just have the one map. I looked at a bunch of reviews online. They all say there's only one map. Are you sure there isn't? It's not like I haven't looked.
I got the game and I think it's pretty good. I absolutely adore Extinction, though. It's Left 4 Dead with aliens. And it's on Wii U. C'mon, guys!
One thing I don't get: this review and the comments say Extinction has a lot of "stages" but as far as I'm aware there is exactly one Extinction map. What are you guys talking about? Anyway, it needs at least one more. I'm not even a big DLC guy but I would definitely pay for an additional one.
@TobiasAmaranth If you look in the comments, the developers say they've gotten feedback about the Wii U stretch and are in talks with Nintendo, and hope to put it ahead of the other two consoles. So, I definitely hear you, but it sounds like they've heard you too!
@Warruz Do you know about Paradise Lost? Not my sort of thing but some people are going crazy for it and it is coming to Wii U.
Arrgh, NintendoLife, you guys should put a shout-out to Churbles (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/crashgem/churbles-a-beautiful-3d-rpg-adventure) here. They just crossed their console stretch goal and are a few hours away from wrapping their Kickstarter!
Good on them, but I'm still not interested in this game. Who knows, though. Maybe it'll get some good word of mouth and I'll pick it up. Best of luck to them.
Some good games — I beat New Horizons back in the day — but nothing I'm buying this week. I'll probably get Senran Kagura on sale but for $30 I can't justify it.
@Nntndo_1986 I lost about 10 times before I finally won. It takes a while to get everything that's going on in the game, and you really need three people who also get it. Unlocking some of the higher-tiered loadouts helps too. Good luck!
@Nntndo_1986 Never played a CoD before so no experience with the fabled Zombies mode. In Extinction, you have to drill three groups of something like three or four alien hives, plus get past two barrier hives. You get to the end, set off a nuke and then run back. Altogether it takes about an hour. It's a blast. It's like Left 4 Dead, except with aliens and on Wii U!
A little ridiculous that it took a year to get the Wii U YouTube app working the way it should have on Day 1 but, well, at least it's coming.
Not sure how useful this is on 3DS, though. If I'm out and about and want to watch YouTube, what are the odds I have WiFi? Either way I'd have my phone with me.
@ACK I don't deny that it's illogical. I think the game will do really well on Wii U. But then, plenty of publishers who cancel or delay Wii U titles are doing so out of any logic I subscribe to.
I checked their forums and most of them are closed, but the one board that wasn't had a couple of people going on about how they should can the Wii U build as well. I know the project has an interesting ownership structure and this was probably just two blowhards, but I'd feel much more confident if someone stepped forward and confirmed it was still 100% on for Wii U.
I really have no interest in this project and this nonsense with the Wii U goal isn't helping. There are so, sooooo many Kickstarters like this: self-described Metroidvania games with really tall sci-fi pixel art and super lofty console stretch goals. No thanks.
@Conellossus I love the game, I just don't understand why Nintendo Life is aping MyNintendoNews, or why either picked this specific date to announce that SMB3 was on Nintendo.com/games, when it's been there for at least a month or so.
"it’s time for all your favourite winter sports to hit the screens again; sports such as skiing, skiing off a cliff, bob-sledding and... that one with the stones."
Umm, how about hockey? I know you guys are mostly British and all but come on.
That aside pretty good review. Maybe the pack-in remote will get me to buy it. Probably not though.
Waaaay too many Kickstarters with this art style, in this sort of genre, this far off from completion, asking this much just to get it on consoles. Even if I were interested in something like this, I'd have put my money in to a different project long ago.
Nintendo needs to go private. These shareholders bought the stock when it was totally overvalued during the Wii's heyday and they will never, ever be happy. The company has been and will continue to be wildly profitable, but they don't care about that. They just want the stock back up at four or five times where it is now so they can sell it. If the company goes broke and Mario is just something used to sell endless runners, they don't care. Every time I hear talk about shareholder meetings I keep worrying the wrong people are going to buy up enough of the stock to sell Nintendo off into a hundred useless pieces. I really want to know what's going on with Yamauchi's share.
I think a 5 is really fair. This game is by no means bad, but you have to ask yourself how much you'd actually play it. The controls are tough, the game is repetitive and there's only so much this game can do to draw you in.
If you've never played it, though, I'd say it's at least worth a try.
@Samurai_Goroh I think so, at least in North America and probably Europe. In Japan they've had a couple of the Goemon games, and I think something else as well although it's slipped my mind.
EDIT: It's this game, three Goemon titles, Gradius and TwinBee in Japan. They only jumped on the VC bandwagon a month or so ago though.
@hcfwesker Yeah, they decided to do the Wii U port for sure late in the game and haven't done a great job getting the word out or making things clear on the Kickstarter page, probably one of the reasons they aren't funded.
But then hey, do I want a game made by people who are good at running Kickstarters, or do I want a game made by people who are good at making games?
@Tsuchinoko Thanks for the heads up. Hadn't heard about this. I suppose the problem is they added Wii U support a little late? They've got a real small ask up so hopefully they get there and that's all they need to put it up.
As for Ping 2, best of luck to it! Glad to see some people are still putting Kickstarter projects on Kickstarter, and not just these behemoth retro resurrection titles...
@ToxieDogg I'm with you. I play it and (when I'm not utterly confused what the game wants me to do and why it doesn't like what I'm doing) I enjoy myself, but I don't feel compelled to play it much. It feels almost like a chore to play sometimes.
I know some people really love it and I'm not trying to rip it in half or anything, but I totally get why it hasn't sold so well. Platinum needs to keep up everything they're doing, just make their games easier to play.

Re: Review: Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures (Wii U)
This game has some solid word of mouth too, so I'm not surprised by the score. Good to see some of these solid middle-tier games on the Wii U.
I don't see myself picking this up, but if Namco/Nintendo port over Pac-Man Vs., I'll buy that in a second.
Re: Shovel Knight Digs Up a Few Surprise Features
So, I got this update but just blew past the Miiverse and Streetpass bit. What's wrong with me? I love both those things!
Re: Conception II Due in North America This Spring
What was the first game generally translated as again? Conception: I Desperately Need a Pregnancy or something?
Re: Review: Super Mario 3D World (Wii U)
I'm getting this at midnight on Thursday night and it still seems so far away!
Re: Give Your Apple TV That All-Important Nintendo Vibe With These Retro Skins
I would never get an Apple TV. But if I did, I would get one of these immediately.

Re: Review: Batman: Arkham Origins (Wii U)
@AJWolfTill WB didn't patch the Wii U version of Arkham City to eliminate a consistent game-crashing bug so the odds aren't especially good.
Re: Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Paths Will Find Its Way Onto the Wii U eShop on 21st November
@ColdingLight Their Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/438269196/mysterious-cities-of-gold-the-video-game) says yes.
Re: These Three New Kickstarter Projects Are Trying To Fund Their Way Onto Wii U

@2Sang The irony of this statement...

Re: Nintendo of America Launches Weekly eShop Price Promotions
I have Link's Awakening. I beat the first Zelda once and that was really enough for me. I find Zelda II abhorrent.
So, nothing for me.

Re: Interview: Dakko Dakko on Scram Kitty and his Buddy on Rails, Clever Cats and Utilising the Wii U
There's a pretty substantial list of Wii U eShop games I'm getting Day 1. This game has been high on that list for a while now.

@Zeargo I was going to say much the same! Not sure this'll be a Day 1 get for me but it definitely has my attention.
Re: Nintendo "Would Like to Enrich" Its Virtual Console Lineup
@PokeTune Seriously. It's all great that Iwata says he wants to put more games on the Virtual Console, but it's another thing to just up and do it.
Re: Review: Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut (Wii U)
The second I see this for $30, I'm buying it.
Re: River City Ransom: Underground Dev Still Wants To Bring The Game To Nintendo Consoles
Is it just me, or is it crazy that Red Bull of all things is doing some really good longform game journalism right now?
Anyway, really excited for this game. Hopefully the Monogame stuff is true and it'll be on Wii U.
Re: Nintendo Updates Available Club Nintendo Reward Games in North America
Getting Link to the Past and then paying $1.50 to upgrade on Wii U is tempting. I probably won't do it though.
Re: Super Mario Bros. 3 Is Leaping To The Wii U And 3DS Virtual Console Services Soon
On that note, the original Toki Tori went up on Nintendo.com/games as a Nov. 7 release some time this weekend. That's arguably newsworthy.

Under the couch. Actually did have dust on it when I last saw it. My couch broke, so when I flipped it over I wiped off the board.
Re: Natsume Confirms North American Release For Farewell Umihara Kawase Under The Title Yumi's Odd Odyssey
Day One purchase right here. I love the SFC version. It's plenty hard, though.
Re: Nintendo Download: 31st October (Europe)
If you don't have ZombiU, this is a great price for it. If you have a Wii U and you consider yourself even an occasional survival horror fan, get it.

Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut Is A 14GB Download On Wii U
I will probably get this game what with Watch Dogs being delayed, but definitely on disc and not for more than $30.
