@Chris77 That's a very plausible explanation as, after waiting for weeks / months, someone I know has just received a new Switch today (with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Ring Fit Adventure) from the Official Nintendo UK Store.

About time these people paid for their own games, stopped begging for freebies from their fans and got real jobs!

@slipperygerik Think Platinum Games intentionally kept the retail release quiet so more people would fund their kickstarter campaign.

I would've cancelled my bid, with or without coronavirus, if I knew it was going to be available from Amazon (for less) only a couple of weeks later!

And that's before the physical copy for backers got delayed.

Platinum Games should delay the game's release for everyone.

That way the people who actually funded this game aren't penalised.

Considering the amount of money PG made on this Kickstarter I don't think that's too much to ask.

I get that there's a pandemic and was fully expecting there to be a delay, but do the right thing Platinum Games and delay the game's release date so both the digital and physical retail versions come out AFTER the Kickstarter backers (who funded this game for you) have received their physical copies.

Or give the physical backers download codes for the version they backed.

Or give the physical backers the option to receive a full refund so we can buy a physical retail copy instead.

@ryancraddock looking forward to Nintendo Life doing an article on this and asking Platinum Games about the situation on behalf of NL readers as PG have gone rather quiet on Kickstarter since the campaign ended.

@antdickens But if the order is more than £15.00 then HMRC will charge custom duty on the total value of the items, plus Royal Mail will also charge an additional £8.00 for telling you this and holding onto your parcel until you pay up! (Happened to me three times when I moved back to the U.K. a couple of years ago.)

Not official controllers = not worth the money.

Wii Speak, Wii Zapper, 3DS Circle Pad Pro, GameCube Wii U Adapter etc, etc.

Although admittedly these are accessories rather than controllers and weren't anywhere as expensive as the Switch Pro Controller.

Colour choice of the joy cons is a bit odd. Guess they must have a larger surplus of Splatoon 2 Green & Pink than Mario Red & Blue.
