The next batch of amiibo for the Super Smash Bros. line are now available to pre-order from the Nintendo Official UK Store. If you're after any of these for your collection, you'd be wise to get your pre-orders in fast.
Joining the roster are Piranha Plant, King K. Rool, and Ice Climbers, all of which release on 15th February and are compatible with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. At the time of writing, all three are still available to snag from the store (they only went up a matter of minutes ago) and are all priced at £12.99.

amiibo stock has vastly improved since the scary early days, where literally no one's orders were safe, but if you're 100% sure that you want these figures it's definitely worth getting your order in just in case. Again, at the time of writing, King K. Rool and Ice Climbers are also available from Amazon UK for £14.99 each should you want or need a different option.

I have never clicked a pre-order button as fast as I did for that Piranha Plant amiibo.

EDIT: I did manage to snag King K Rool and the Pirahna plant though.
Since the price hike in the US, these suckers are almost 20 a piece now. But they look incredible. Hoping for a Simon Belmont at some point

Just cancelled my Game.co.uk order and switched to Amazon UK as they don't charge VAT Therefore only £9.16 to someone who lives in Channel Islands

Nintendo UK Store lately seem to be less at risk of selling out of amiibo pre-orders lately, but all the same I placed my pre-orders within a minute of getting the email.
3pm UK time is a pretty consistent time for them to open pre-orders for whatever reason.

I just bought the Ridley amiibo a couple of days ago from Amazon, but it seemed to be readily available everywhere. I didn't even bother earlier b/c I thought it would be too hard to find. So maybe Nintendo is making g more now that they know Switch sells, SSBU sells and amiibo sell.
I will say I was disappointed in the Ridley amiibo. Sure it looked great but for the standard price of $15.99 I thought it would be bigger. Bought a bunch of Funko Pops for around $10 each for the holidays and those are huge by comparison. No NFC, but how much use will Ridley get anyway?
May get Piranha plant but I'll need to see it and the price first.

Piranha Plant pre-ordered. That's the first Amiibo I've bought in a long time.
I went to Amazon last week to grab Ice Climbers and they were sold out 😫
The Piranha Plant amiibo sells out instantly on Amazon.
You might as well just get it for slightly more on the Nintendo store.

Game price is the same as Nintendo Store if you factor in Delivery. N Store is better if you order something else for the same delivery though.

Piranha Planet will be the big seller, given how the first Japanese preorders went. You bet your ass I preordered one right away along with K.Rool.
I only buy Amiibos from the Zelda and Metroid game series so I’m good. King K. Rool looks nice tho.

I reserved an Ice Climbers amiibo from GameStop a few weeks ago.
I preordered all three on amazon weeks ago for £10.99
Got them all weeks ago via Amazon and Best Buy.

I live in the US and have had these on preorder for months.
Gonna have to try and get Piranha Plant. I unlocked all the characters and now I'm waiting for Piranha Plant to come out so I can check out his moves for myself.
UPDATE: EB Games Australia has Piranha Plant in stock for preorder.
