@machinepaul But only a few of us own a Wii U and the Wii is ancient history in console terms.
Personally, I'm looking forward to playing SS again in HD and without motion controls.
Fingers crossed they'll also add a few gameplay improvements like they did with WW and TP. Reducing the padding and how annoying Fi is would be a good start.
Several of my older Nintendo consoles and handhelds have been shipped from London to New York to Hong Kong then back to London again. They all still work!
@NathanTheAsian @C-Olimar But at least some of the plastic was a different colour on the other three variants (Splatoon, Xenoblade and Smash). This MH one looks like it's just a standard black controller with some gold transfers on it (similar to the Zelda Wii U gamepad.)
I'm waiting for a gold BoTW2 pro-controller. Make it happen Nintendo!
@Aryan44 No, I'm saying that Ubisoft will slash the price shortly after launch, as they do with all their games. (Never assume. It makes an ASS out of U and ME!)
@Wilforce Exactly! BotW Ripoff is now £29.99 on amazon.co.uk, reduced from £44.99. We need a NintendoLife affiliate link for this!

Doubt I would've noticed myself if I hadn't read about it somewhere, but since then, if I'm unable not to notice those static lifeless trees, I'm going to make damn sure everyone else can't not notice them either!
(Hoping that if we all make enough fuss they'll fix it. The Wii could manage moving trees so there's no excuse.)
Far too much smut and women with ridiculously large chests in XC2. I was embarrassed playing it in front of the missus and she's a gamer who loves Mario, Zelda, Mario Kart, etc.
XC(DE) doesn't resort to titillation, although Sharla could do with a breast reduction.
Platinum should’ve shipped all the games to a European hub and then dispatched to all backers from there. Without the fine print saying otherwise, that’s what I thought they’d do and was why I backed this Kickstarter.
It also wasn’t clear at that point that it would also be available at retail very soon afterwards. (This was before Covid-19 cropped up and caused a delay which somehow didn’t seem to affect the retail copies!)
What Platinum did was dishonest and / or incompetent.
That was almost as funny as America’s (lack of) holiday entitlement and maternity leave, elitist healthcare system and resorting to prayers after every mass shooting rather than actually doing something about it!
If you live in the United Kingdom sign up to Official Nintendo UK Store's email alerts. That's how I managed to get mine six weeks or so ago. They've had new shipments a couple of times since then.
@San_D Agree with you that's it's a weird choice of wording and I'd say redundant in the sentence "One catch is it's available for free as a limited-time release until the end of September." Why not just "It's available for free as a limited-time release until the end of September"?
Maybe NL writers are paid per word (and affiliate link)?

I predict the word "Time" will be in the title.
Re: Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp Reimagines The Classics On Switch
@rjejr Fair point but how many people who now have a Switch actually owned a Wii U or are old enough to have played the originals?
I played it back in the day on GBA (as I am old) but excited that it's being made available to all the young Switchersnappers.
Plus I'm tempted to double dip.

No need to panic about Nintendo pre-orders in the UK.
We have the Nintendo Official UK Store.

I'll wait a month or two after launch when Ubisoft reduce the price to £9.99.
Re: Ubisoft Switch Sale Discounts Immortals Fenyx Rising, Mario + Rabbids And Plenty More
Apologies if this comment offends but anyone who buys a Ubisoft game at launch / full price is either new to gaming or an idiot!
But don't worry as I've been that idiot. (In case you're interested it was Rayman Raving Rabbids for the Wii.)

@Heavyarms55 I reckon Covid killed the new (Mario red & blue) pro-controller colour.
Fingers crossed we'll get a gold pro-controller for Zelda's 35th next year.
Re: OrangePixel To Launch 'A Dozen' Games On Switch, Starting With Meganoid
@LavaTwilight Ha! Nice one.
@gaga64 I was originally going to suggest Complicated Combats but already had G-Nothing as the dead franchise.
Also thought of Sun Lupine and Giovanni's Manor.

Trees that move!
If Crysis Remastered can do it, there's now no excuse for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition.

Anyway, chill. It's far too expensive to go clubbing in the Arctic!
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Version 1.1.2 Is Now Live
@LUIGITORNADO I still enjoyed it, although the convoluted quests felt a lot more of a chore.
I just couldn't play it in front of the missus as made me feel uncomfortable.

@ryancraddock Lost in Translation?
Seems like Gamereactor screwed up here and are using the Trump tactic of blaming others to cover up their own shortcomings.
Or is that what 'A Coffee With Nintendo' are dong to protect the Spanish voice actors who probably shouldn't have spoken with them in the first place?
Re: PlatinumGames Addresses Wonderful 101 Kickstarter Custom Fees, And Backers Aren't Happy
@Bizzyb I’m not sure I even received the second survey where they ask you to specify which platform as they forgot to include this the first time!
The latest update gave vague directions where to find it rather than simply providing a link.
Re: PlatinumGames Addresses Wonderful 101 Kickstarter Custom Fees, And Backers Aren't Happy
@ukaskew Removed my gift declaration comment as that’s a fair point and updated the rest of my post for clarification.
The fees are due to Platinum being clueless.
Anyway, fingers burnt and lesson learnt. Will only back British-based (non-Playtonic) projects in future.
Re: PlatinumGames Addresses Wonderful 101 Kickstarter Custom Fees, And Backers Aren't Happy
@ukaskew the fine print wasn’t there.

@KingMike Or you don't need to sell that many copies to make the chart.
Re: UK Charts: 3DS Game Bravely Second: End Layer Makes A Surprise Leap To Second Place
@teamdoa Depends where you live. Lots of cheap titles available in the Old Street, London store.
Re: UK Charts: 3DS Game Bravely Second: End Layer Makes A Surprise Leap To Second Place
Loads of cheap 3DS games on Argos at the moment.
I got Bravely Second: End Layer for £2.49, Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest and Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. for £1.99 each, plus a few others.
Guess Argos don't do affiliate links which is why NL haven't reported it.
