Re: Memory Pak: When Mario Became A Pro Wrestler And Ruled At It

Judal27

Loved this chapter so much. Every time i replayed the game, this chapter was the one i looked forward to the most alongside the express train one. And part of it is definitely because of the writing and the charismatic characters

It's extremely depressing to think we're likely never getting another good paper mario ever again

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Delivered An Excellent E3 Direct For Fans Old And New

Judal27

I just saw the actual trailer for advance wars and damn that was just really meh. They bring back a dormant series by just remaking the same games but with an ugly coat of paint that makes them look like mobile games? I would've just preferred a collection if that was all, but surely it deserves a bit better

I don't even want to think of what they'd do if they ever decide to revive golden sun...

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of Nintendo Direct At E3 2021?

Judal27

Didn't watch it like some of the other livestreams but from what I'm seeing announced. Smtv was the only thing that had me excited, while metroid and advance wars piqued my interest a bit. Botw looks boring so far, and the rest i didn't care for or are just ports of games i already own. Sad that monolith is still gonna be silent for a while longer i guess

Idk whether from software saved e3 with elden ring or atlus with smtv, but it really was one of the worst e3s overall

Re: Talking Point: E3 Leaks Are Inevitable, But Do You Actually Want To Know?

Judal27

I don't actively look for leaks but i don't care if I come across a very believable one. Never understood why people consider that a spoiler. If you find out about a game reveal early, then get excited early and look forward to the inevitable trailer? Whether you watch an accidental early released trailer or watch it at the intended time, what's the difference? You're still watching the exact same thing

Re: Rumour: Sonic's New Game Might Be An Open-World Adventure

Judal27

As infamous as 06 was, I still had fun running around that open world with all the different unlockable abilities despite being pretty empty. And Adventure 1's open areas were a ton of fun with all the little things and power ups to discover

Sonic definitely has potential in making a great open world. So I'm hoping this is the one they succeed in if the rumor is true

Re: Talking Point: When Was The Last Time A Game Cracked Your Top Five?

Judal27

At this point, I don't even know if i have a top 5. I play so many and end up falling in love with almost each one so much that i start to think it's the best game ever. Until the next best game ever comes along which for me is currently Nier Replicant

I'll always remember the gamecube era of Ninty games very fondly though especially paper mario and the 2 zeldas

Re: Talking Point: Do You Miss Instruction Manuals?

Judal27

I miss the ones that mainly just had artwork and character/story/items info. It was a neat little extra. But at this point, the internet delivers that and more anyway

Back when they were around tho, as an actual manual, i probably used it maybe twice or 3 times for menus or mechanics i forgot about

Re: Multiple Parties Reportedly Interested In Buying Square Enix

Judal27

Assuming it's one of the big three and buying them means their ips become exclusive, I'd hope it's sony considering nintendo would literally make them regress with their horrible hardware and microsoft is microsoft lmao

But please no just leave 3rd party devs alone. They work best as 3rd party devs

Re: Global Sales Data Suggests Balan Wonderworld Has Massively Flopped

Judal27

@HeadPirate Yea you did play a different game. The XV i played at launch which is inferior to the one with updates, had optional dungeons, rare weapons and items to look for, hunts for unique enemies, and mini games like fishing or Chocobo racing. Its no more empty than BotW unless you want to count the 900 pieces of turd that not even the devs want you to look for

It also had plenty of side quests but a lot of them were terrible fetch quests like the ones you'd find in BotW, the so called "masterpiece"

Re: Feature: Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Is Secretly One Of The Best Zeldas

Judal27

It absolutely is one of the best zeldas. I was expecting wind waker lite out of it and it was exactly what I got which i loved. It was fun exploring what felt like a mini open world. And i really liked doodling my terrible looking maps. I fully enjoyed it much more than BotW

Never understood how people could love spirit tracks and hate phantom hourglass when it was basically the same game except PH didn't force you on linear rail roads having to avoid trains which was tedious and annoying more than anything.

Re: Talking Point: Is Zelda An RPG, Or Not?

Judal27

I mean not many action adventure games that i know of have as many rpg troupes that Zelda has. You have an overworld with mobs, towns to visit, and dungeons that you have to progress through to advance the story. Most action adventure games don't really offer that and are pretty straight forward in that regard aren't they?

Sometimes it feels like Zelda is an rpg in all but stat raising which is only 1 characteristic of an rpg. But despite that i still wouldn't know what to classify it lmao

Re: Best Nintendo DS RPGs

Judal27

Lmao those prices tho. Thank you emulation

And i enjoyed sonic chronicles for what it was. It was just as fun to me as the Mario and Luigi games, especially when it came to exploring the overworld. But i don't think it has any business being in a best ds RPGs list tbh

Re: Best Nintendo 3DS RPGs

Judal27

Have all of these hacked into my 3ds. And i always get a giddy feeling seeing all those icons lined up on my homescreen when I boot it up

Now if i could actually play all of them within my lifetime, that'd be great

Re: Soapbox: It's Time To Normalise Giving Up On Games Early

Judal27

Can't speak for everyone, but i think that piece about not finishing BotW was surprising because iirc you said you were literally right there at the entrance to the final boss and you just didn't fight it? It was just odd cause you were already there lol. And not really about it being not normal to finish games. And there shouldn't be any need to "normalize" it anyway. You paid with your money so do whatever you want with the game. Play it for 1 hour, finish the whole game or just keep it sealed on your shelf for all i care

Personally i try to do everything possible in a game to get my money's worth. Most times i can chug through tedious parts and do everything possible. But if not, I'm satisfied with at least finishing the main game. I dont think I've ever played a game so bad that i couldn't bring myself to play it anymore. Any game i stopped playing was most likely just cause another game caught my interest at the time

Re: Video: Pokémon Fan "Fixes" Diamond And Pearl Remakes With This Slick Concept Trailer

Judal27

@TheLightSpirit they couldn't possibly make a game like that whether they were working on legends or not. They're incompetent

@Dr_Lugae lmao they didn't even have traditional catching mechanics. They're spin offs. Although pokemon games at that time still had more heart put into it than they do now. The gamecube games were a glimpse at what it would actually be like to have fully realized 3d pokemon game. I'd imagine if they were put to work on a mainline game, it'd be something else. But i didn't know about the staff movement. What a waste, shame.

And iirc their dungeons definitely had interactivity on the same level as mainline games. Baby puzzles like figuring out which switch opens what. Not only that the towns still had secrets hidden around them.

Re: Feature: The 10 Best SNES RPGs

Judal27

Seiken densetsu 3 is a million times better than secret of mana. Hell, final fantasy adventure is million times better than secret of mana. Too bad its a gameboy game

Re: Atlus Wants To Know What Games You Want Ported To Switch

Judal27

@Kr96 I'm not saying it sold poorly if that's what you mightve been thinking. Just that half of those sales were on ps4.

That ratio should definitely be more skewered in favor of switch considering SMT has been exclusive to ninty for a while now so it's fans are on ninty consoles. Nocturne is more newer for ninty fans, it got a Direct spotlight, and there's basically double the amount of switches out there than ps4 in japan

All of that and yet half of it's sales still came from ps4. I don't doubt SMTV will outsell this HD remaster but clearly SMT still has a fanbase on other platforms. And considering it's trying to get out of Persona's shadow, its definitely missing out when potentially half of it's playerbase won't be able to buy it

Also i find it ridiculous that Royal sales are considered underwhelming in japan when it kept pace with the ps4 version of P5. As you said, japan doesn't take too well with remasters. It makes no sense that a remaster selling almost as good as the original should be considered underwhelming unless sega's expectations are just super high

Re: Atlus Wants To Know What Games You Want Ported To Switch

Judal27

Great more port begging. Please atlus just port all your games on every platform.

Because if there's one series thats losing out on money being stuck on 1 platform, it's SMT. Considering Nocturne hd only sold 5k more on switch than on ps4, smt is losing more or less half of it's potential sales being exclusive and that's not even counting pc
