Re: Shin Megami Tensei V Is Out Today On Switch, Here's The Launch Trailer

@Kr96 Yea I know, I played nocturne and IV and enjoyed them a lot but I was hoping V would give you more of a reason to go through the barren wastelands for 100+ hours so I'm not really in a rush to drop $60 on it anytime soon

Also I've heard one of the early smts had a good story, but I can't remember if it was 1 or 2. Either way I'm playing them both cause it's a very fun series. All it needs is an actual story and characters to go along with it

Not anytime soon, from what I've read, it seems like it'll yet again have an extremely barebones story with the blandest characters imaginable. I'll probably play all the earlier smts and persona 6 by the time I actually get to this game. Hopefully it'll be on sale by then cause the demons and combat itself look fantastic

Re: Zelda: Skyward Sword On Switch Has Already Matched Its Lifetime Wii Sales

Judal27

Not hard to do when you take into account all the factors against the original release like needing that stupid motion plus thing that prevented me from buying all these years, and releasing at the end of the Wiis lifespan

Only reason I bought it was cause Ive never played it and being a huge Zelda fan, I was dying for a new Zelda game that actually played like a Zelda. But I don't regret spending $50 on it like I did the $60 for BotW, it was great

Re: Poll: As Sora Joins Smash Bros. Ultimate, How Much Of The DLC Roster Do You Own?

Judal27

Despite not really being in love with Ultimate, I bought both fighter passes cause this is most definitely going to be the last game for a long while that'll have all these characters in one game

Sakurai himself already said not to expect the next smash bros, if it'll happen, to have all these characters. So yeah, I'm willing to bet characters like Sora and Joker are a one time deal until the next "everybody's here"

Re: Pokémon Legends: Arceus Won't Actually Be An Open-World Game

Judal27

The main things that interested me about the trailers were the roaming Pokemon and the little interactions they showed like how you catch them and them potentially hurting you even if their presentation was as usual downright atrocious for a company that makes millions

The landscapes they showed off tho were some of the most mundane id ever seen, so I don't really care if they're expansive areas like Xenoblade or an actual open world

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of Yesterday's Nintendo Direct?

Judal27

A bunch of dlc, announcements of announcements, a few decades old roms locked behind a sub but now you pay more, time wasted on a movie instead of a game, and a Bayonetta that doesn't seem to lose her clothes when using wicked weaves. It was pretty boring

Kirby was the main thing for me. A 3D Kirby always seemed like a great idea, and I'd spend so much time running around the city in Air Ride thinking how fun a game like that would be. Hoping it turns out great, and that bayo looking like her kid self explains the funny makeup and costume as well as her wicked weaves

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 14th)

I caved and bought Skyward Sword. Really wanted a new and actually good 3d Zelda again since it's been a long while since Twilight Princess came out

And aside from the obnoxious controls and ugly noses and mouths everyone got from this "HD" relift, it's been so much fun to play through. What I'd give to have another proper Zelda again built for the switch, instead we're getting empty open world game #89

Re: Memory Pak: When Mario Became A Pro Wrestler And Ruled At It

Judal27

Loved this chapter so much. Every time i replayed the game, this chapter was the one i looked forward to the most alongside the express train one. And part of it is definitely because of the writing and the charismatic characters

It's extremely depressing to think we're likely never getting another good paper mario ever again

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Delivered An Excellent E3 Direct For Fans Old And New

Judal27

I just saw the actual trailer for advance wars and damn that was just really meh. They bring back a dormant series by just remaking the same games but with an ugly coat of paint that makes them look like mobile games? I would've just preferred a collection if that was all, but surely it deserves a bit better

I don't even want to think of what they'd do if they ever decide to revive golden sun...

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of Nintendo Direct At E3 2021?

Judal27

Didn't watch it like some of the other livestreams but from what I'm seeing announced. Smtv was the only thing that had me excited, while metroid and advance wars piqued my interest a bit. Botw looks boring so far, and the rest i didn't care for or are just ports of games i already own. Sad that monolith is still gonna be silent for a while longer i guess

Idk whether from software saved e3 with elden ring or atlus with smtv, but it really was one of the worst e3s overall
