@Captain_Gonru That's what I was talking about. I wouldn't mind if they made games for multiple platforms, that's completely logical from a financial standpoint. But this feels like they're altogether moving away from the 3DS and that's what I don't get. FL and Layton worked so well on 3DS (sold well, too, I think), so why abandon it? Ah, but maybe I'm just getting ahead of myself, maybe they'll go back with these franchises sometime in the future. I'm always hopeful.
@Captain_Gonru That was so unexpected and disappointing, just like Prof. Layton 7. I could never quite follow the practise of franchises hopping platforms like this, that's one of the reasons I was so utterly disappointed by Squenix over the years, and I don't want Level 5 to keep crushing my hopes like they did.
Seems interesting, although I'm certainly not fond of the key rings. Hope one can still play the game as is. Whatever, it's Level 5, this'll take years to come to the west, anyway, if it even does...
Might check out Pokémon Rumble World to see if it's any good. I did get some fun out of Shuffle, after all. Quell Memento will be on my discount radar, the predecessor is really nice and relaxing.
Quiet week, but that's okay, my backlog keeps me busy anyway.
Will get one or two of the discounts, but probably wait on Xenoblade a bit. I have to finish a few other RPG's first before I can free some time to delve into it. Bad week for Wii U, huh?
Totally expected. Also expected that the reason is they're taking their time. That's what I like about Nintendo, don't ship out half-baked goods just because it's Christmas. Here's to waiting and playing Xenoblade instead.
@ShadJV There's a new Praline song (it's on youtube). @DarthNocturnal I think it's an awesome game. While it does have it's flaws, it makes up for those ten times over (and no game's perfect, anyway). Of course, not everyone's of the same opinion, but when I'm not sure about a game, I just buy it used. On topic, I can't wait to try out all the new jobs I've heard about. And hooray for old Asterisks/Asterisk bearers coming back. Also, unlockable music. That just made my day. While we're at it, Squenix, bring over the new Theatrhythm as well. Do it!
Tough. I could readily vote for 20 games or more off this list. They're all so good... I made my choice, but I would add Virtue's Last Reward and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, although those titles do build up on previous entries (esp. KH), so I guess they're not ideal for newcomers (but very good games, still).
Despite all the negative reviews (which I wholly agree with), I still think Natsume should build upon this series. Address the issues for the second installment as well as expand upon their initial ideas, and I'm sure it could become an enjoyable experience. In any case, I'd like for both (new) Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons to stick around. More variety in this genre is always appreciated.
I want it, I really do. It would be so much fun comparing it to the real thing and a good preparation, and it's all in game form which is just awesome. 250€ is a lot, though...
Ah, nothing for me this week. Too bad. Kinda interested in Excave and Adventure Bar Story as well as Inazuma, but I'll probably wait for a sale as I always do.
Happy gaming, everyone.
Nope, didn't spend an ounce of cash, neither in game (yet) nor in RL. Don't intent to, either.
I have to say they did pretty well with this, considering. New free DLC keeps coming and the game is fun and, most importantly, playable without cash. But I'll never get sold on the concept of F2P regardless, so it's better if it stays off consoles/handhelds in the near future imo. Smart Phones, I imagine, are the better and financially smarter option anyway, and with Ninty's new deals it should be feasible that way.
Hm... seems they took a lot from Zelda (like, a lot). Doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing, though, I'd sure like to try it out. You just have to keep an open mind and not expect a real Zelda. And I think it looks good enough.
But isn't this Basic Game Design 101 that everyone should know? Although I always thought of it as three steps: introduce game mechanic --> make players use said game mechanic in various ways, upping difficulty step by step --> Boss/hard level/something really challenging
Simple but effective. Seriously, it's just like growing up and studying or training. It's supposed to be this way. Doesn't make game design any easier, though. And Nintendo does it really well, most of the time!
Finally! And I do hope that Mighty Gunvolt comes with it, that'd make it a day oner for me, otherwise I'd probably just wait for a discount as it's not the cheapest title.
LOl, I see how someone could mix up the various DS systems, DSi and Lite and XL or is it LL, wait there's a NEW one? GAH! But the Game Boy has been long gone, so that's quite a weird mistake...
I'm all for it, especially with that comment about new masks. And I hope that doesn't just mean more HW DLC, I want him in an actual new Zelda game in one form or another...
Great, now I want it even more. I'm still holding out for a miracle, helped with Rune Factory 4 ! Bring it to the west, Squenix, I bought almost all of Curtain Call's DLC (at a ridiculous price, no less), I'm obviously willing to throw my money at you here, which doesn't happen often as you like to screw with us Europeans, so you might as well take advantage while you can, okay?
Got lucky and caught it on my first try. 30 turns is more than enough if you have a decent team imo. Funny how I swore not to get this game, then caved, and found it quite addicting (not that I would spend money on it, though). I like it more than Battle Trozei/Link Battle, what with the leveling and Mega Evolution etc.
Does that mean we can expect Groudon to show up as well?
Yay, perfect. I'll def get Mighty Switch Force! 1+2 and at least one or two of the SEGA 3D discounts. Not sure about Shantae yet, as I hope there'll be an even better offer in the future, and I've decided to wait for Risky's Revenge Director's Cut anyway. But good week overall for 3D discounts!
Zelda, of course, maybe even a theme because I can't resist when it's MM. I'm thinking 3D Fantasy Zone later, after the review. And I'll check out the Anime Channel, but I doubt I'll use it much. The N3DS will have to wait 'till Xenoblade 3D is out or near release date, with one or two cover plates for good measure.
I'm still holding out for new 3DS VC games and good discounts in the future...
@Kaze_Memaryu Ikr, I'd really like to play this and the first one, but no such luck. Just like that whole Ittle Dew debacle for Wii U (at least it's on Steam). Btw, I love the music!
I got my Eon ticket somewhere aroung mid-December. I actually had an english streetpass that day, so I think it might have been the UK one? Dunno. I was just really happy to get one as I don't get too many streetpasses anyway.
Happy to hear this. I love going through guides and encyclopedias in games as it's refreshing to get a break from the action and just sift through descriptions and 3D models. So excited for these two games!
More free Pokémon! More hidden abilities! Good thing I've already subscribed, because I wouldn't do it just for Pokémon DLC. But this way it's free for me, and it goes well with the other free starters. Yay!
Nah, definitely not my favourite out of the minigames. It was frustrating as hell back then since we did't know about the bunny hood and you kept getting 9.88, 9.93, 10.25 etc. At least the archery minigames are fun!

Depending on gameplay and content, I would totally play that. Then again, this has zero chance to come to Europe IMO.
