@Xaessya I work and run my own household, so have learned to get the most out of my money. $60 a year for a few skins and 200cc for 1 game, or $20 for a years Switch online with a 50+ NES/SNES titles.
Well, not surprised since September had the Unova releases (and spawning cull of the same), the 7k regional shiny event, the 10k unown (both of which wanted you to buy Incubators) amongst other things.
I have heard of issues arising from the Pro Controller, but it's not anywhere near as bad as the drifting from the Joycons. I keep my Pro at home, never leaves the house. Have had it for over a year (bought it pre-loved), and no issues as of yet. I guess if it starts doing the drifting, i'll either buy a new official Pro or one of the many 3rd party ones available if they are of better build quality.
Normally i'd go along, however there's nothing exciting i'm looking forward to until the next-gen consoles are out. The move to London certainly is a kick in the teeth for many people, myself included. Still easy to get to (London that is) and the Tube/DLR isn't too bad to use. But it's London prices that annoy me.
The SP was the best revision for me. Fair enough, didn't get one until i saw on in Cash Generator for about £25. Cleaned it up, replaced the battery and got a proper plug for it.
The "New" 3DS was decent, which is the model i have now.
Met Bowden a few times, always nice and had the time to say hello. He popped along to a few "then" Streetpass South Wales, now Nintendo South Wales events over the past couple of years. Always a gentleman to say the least.
I wish him luck at Rare as the new social media chap, i don't think his hat made the transfer though.
The ones that have caught my attention for the longest are Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Kirby's Dreamland 3, A Link to the Past and Super Metroid.
I've ventured to Super Puyo Puyo 2 and F-Zero as well.
I think the same was on the PS4/Xbox One releases last year, and they delayed the game in order to get Spyro 2 and 3 finished and onto the respective disks.
Why all the content can't be on cart i don't know, seeing how Witcher 3 (a huge game in comparison) has just about managed it.
SNES games, as well as NES games, should have been available from the start on the NSO service. Nintendo could have by now been ready to put N64 and Gameboy titles on the service this year.
If the full experience isn't ready for launch, don't launch the game. Turok 2 originally launched with multiplayer, so in this day and age it should be launched alongside it.
If they said it wasn't on cart, but a day 1 update then fair enough.
I know it will eventually come to the EU for free Joycon repairs, but i can't believe Nintendo has taken nearly 2 years to offer free repairs on them as the drifting is a common issue caused by a poor choice in components.
Been playing since yesterday, the update was live then. Have made 3 courses already, 2 are uploaded and the 3rd i've had to adjust a little as i can't get to the finish line due to the sheer volume of squids.
Bought a 2nd set the other day and a can of compressed air, just so i can get the current pair working again. Probably will take a trip to B&Q to get a small screwdriver set, and have one of the specialist screwdrivers on order from Amazon so i can open up the Joycon.
It's stupid that the Joycons can be defeated by dust, and that a replacement set costs as much as it does to fix them.
Weird how Alien Soldier is an Asian exclusive for the Mini, it did get a western release (i have the original cart) and it's on the MegaDrive collection.
Yoshi fits right in with Kirby as a character in a 2nd tier series of games that neatly supports top tier 1st party Nintendo games. Love the Yoshi games as much as the Kirby titles, so this was a purchase.
For those in rural areas, this won't be feasible. WiFi has a tendancy to drop out at will, people have data caps and from what i've heard, this will eat up data.
It'll be a viable option, but it won't take over the way we play games. And won't be until data caps are non-existent, and WiFi stops dropping out at will.

Re: Nintendo Promises More Switch SNES Controllers For UK And Europe, Apologises For Site Issues
Nintendo surely should have learned after last year
Re: Review: Mario Kart Tour - Steer Around The Gacha For A Fun, Free Take On The Series
Got a 2 week trial on the Gold Pass, earning some nice bonus's whilst racing. Game is great, you can safely ignore the microtransactions

Re: Mario Kart Tour Has A Paid Subscription Service For Bonus In-Game Rewards
If it was £5 one-off fee, similar to Mario Run's extra levels then i'd be happy. But a month, certainly can jog on.

Re: Luigi's Mansion 3 Receiving Paid DLC, Will Add New Content To Multiplayer Modes
Multiplayer only DLC, it could split players. But as long as the single player is complete, i'm happy with this.
Re: Demo Ori And The Blind Forest Before It Launches On The Switch Next Week
I'm sold on the game, not bothering with the demo as i want the full experience next week.

Re: Purchase Bayonetta From The Wii U eShop In Japan And Europe While You Still Can
@TechaNinja, to be honest Nintendo did a pretty good job in killing the WiiU when it was the current machine.
Re: Poll: So, Which SNES Games Have You Been Playing On Nintendo Switch?
The ones that have caught my attention for the longest are Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Kirby's Dreamland 3, A Link to the Past and Super Metroid.

Re: SNES Games Are Officially Headed To Switch Online, And 20 Titles Release Tomorrow
Can't wait to get my teeth sunk into Yoshi's Island and yet another play of Super Metroid.
SNES games were long overdue, and i liked the tease on the Smash reveal for the next character.
Re: Step Right Up To The ScreamPark, A New Multiplayer Mode In Luigi's Mansion 3

Day 1 purchase for me.

Re: Two More NES Games Join The Nintendo Switch Online Service In August
Barrel scraping at it's finest right here.
Re: Crash Team Racing Will Soon Allow Players To Buy Wumpa Coins With Real Money
I'd have much rather they'd just make these GP's seasons, and sell a season pass than add micro-transactions to the game.

Another hat Pikachu.
Yay
End's sarcasm

Re: Joker Steals The Show In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate This Week
18th will be busy for the UK, with both this and Cuphead on the same day. On a plus, a 4 day Easter weekend so plenty of gaming ahead.
Seems that i have to get that NSO app though for Smash stage downloads it seems.
Re: Switch Online Mobile App Receives New Update, But It's Still Mostly Useless
Hopefully the rumoured Switch Pro includes on-console voice chat.
Re: Nintendo Adds Three New Games To The Switch Online NES Library This Month
Sure this isn't a late April Fools, i mean we're all getting 3 games. Usually we get 2, and Japan gets 3.
Re: Random: Nintendo Repairs Faulty Switch And Then Sends It Back To The Owner Without Joy-Cons
Well, hopefully they don't want to play 1, 2 Switch or Mario Party in the meantime.

Re: Random: Store Your Cardboard Creations In This Official Nintendo Labo Box
Reminds me of the now infamous PS4 "How to share a game on PS4" video.
Re: Feature: GoldenEye Dev David Doak On Shaking (And Stirring) The FPS Genre On Console
The game that defined the FPS genre at the time. It hasn't aged well, but it is still a great couch multiplayer title.

Re: Nindies Showcase Officially Announced For Wednesday, 20th March
These stand-alone Nindie Directs are great. Showcasing smaller titles, which would otherwise get lost if shown in a normal direct.
