@Rayquaza2510 What do you mean? This isn't an article debating which console is better based on power usage. It's just for information purposes because of how outrageously expensive electric is in parts of the world.

As someone with an Xbox, PlayStation and Switch I greatly appreciate it.

@Yorumi it's absolutely worth pointing out. I've never seen such universal condemnation of a business practice. Those that pretend to support them in the vain attempt to make a quick buck are conspicuously absent.

This is a fad that will blow over eventually. There is no intrinsic value which means it cannot succeed in the long term. Its a way for companies to make a quick buck off of suckers.

It seems that some companies have made the decision that burning their reputation for said quick buck is the right thing to do. I suspect these decisions will come back to bite them in a few years. Reputational damage can take decades to repair.

Is $65 a typo? Seems strange the UK version would be nearly half the price. Usually there is close to parity after tax.

I didn't really enjoy the demo that much. Going to wait for reviews and possible a sale.

It's amazing that indie studios will take their time and delay games that aren't quite ready, while AAA behemoth publishers are happy to undermine their products and rush anything out the door.

Take your time, the game will likely be better for it.

It's odd how well the original Switch is still selling despite the OLED being released. I wonder if that is due to limited stock or due to the £50 (in Yen) price difference.

@Royalblues If you enjoy Strategy RPGs then do not sleep on Triangle Strategy. It's brilliant.

You can always tell from these comments who has money invested in Crypto/ NFTs and who doesn't.

Nice one. In the current gaming landscape it's great to see games like this sell so well. I'm yet to buy it myself but will do as soon as I stop being obsessed with Sunbreak.

@NDragon1412 I think I'm going to do the same thing. I mainly play on PC but I do love me some handheld Monster Hunter...

@FishyS It is First Person but it's incredibly slow paced. There are no twitch reactions and the need to move quickly is very rare. Not sure if that makes a difference to you but these are some of the best games ever made. It would be a shame for you to miss out on them if you're a fan of puzzle games.

Just beat Thunder Serpent Narwa in Monster Hunter Rise after moving to PC, so onwards to Sunbreak!

Also playing Ghost of Tsushima on PS5 and the ever present Stardew Valley on Switch.

This looks so good. This, Return to Monkey Island and The Plucky Squire are my most anticipated games.

I'll bite once they drop the restored content mod as DLC. Played the first one many times but never touched the second for some reason.

Pathetic. I'd imagine most fans of Monkey Island are well into their 30's now. To act like this (regardless of age) is just so sad.

Also, I love the art style. Great to see things evolve rather than stay the same.

@Crockin eh. I love Sonic mania (a lot) but still think Sonic 3 & Knuckles is the superior game. I've just played through it on emulator this week and it holds up so well. The soundtrack is one of the best of all time, especially Ice Cap Zone.

@Slowdive I understand what you mean but surely there is no excuse for typos regardless of how much time they were given.

Just get a native speaker to proof read it a couple of times.

@Moistnado Monster Hunter doesn't require any grinding if you just want to play through the story. They massively reduced the materials required for armour and weapons a couple of games ago.

The grind only really begins at end game.

@AG_Awesome It's really annoying that it is the only one missing at this point. It's also the best 3D Mario platformer in my opinion.

Not going to play the demo as I know I'll be getting it on release. I think Rise might eclipse 4U as my favourite Monster Hunter game with Sunbreak.

If it sells well enough they will make DLC. Be stupid not to.

Also, does anyone know when the review embargo is up? I'm guessing later today since it's out tomorrow...

@BlackenedHalo According to the Nintendolife review it still has performance problems unfortunately. I've never played this one so going to pick it up when the DLC launches.

Kirby is selling well for a surprisingly long time. It is still in the UK charts as well. I should really give it a go....

@OorWullie They are decent games to be fair. I think people are just a bit fatigued of the franchise since they make so many of them.

They have a corner of the market as they are games set in a (somewhat) realistic period of history. It has always surprised me that other developers don't do more of that.

If you do ever want to try them I recommend starting with Origins. It's a great game with a great setting.

@sanderev Do we? As far as I can tell the only thing from Nintendo with a confirmed release date past September is Pokémon. Unless I'm missing something?

A direct to sure up dates for Bayonetta and Mario and Rabbids makes sense. I think we will see one end of June/ start of July.

Awesome. I played Citizen Sleeper on Xbox and loved it. The writing is really good. I'll happily play more.

I've just bought the Octo Expansion for Splatoon 2 so going to play through that. I haven't touched Splatoon in a while so very much looking forward to it.

Other than that I am bouncing between Elden Ring, Kena: Bridge of Spirits and Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition.

Not sure I've ever seen such an overwhelming positive reaction from an indie game trailer. Even Reddit loves it, and they hate everything. This looks like something very special.

I'm about 5 hours into Blasphemous and really enjoying it. I can understand the criticisms around the platforming but the meaty feel of the combat makes up for it. The world is very creepy and leaves me feeling uneasy (in a good way).

Why are you guys bothering to feed the troll? Just hit ignore and move on. Let them cry into their own echo chamber. This site is so much more pleasant once you do that.

The demo is so good. I can't stop playing it. My record is 56 so far. It's gets really fast at that point.

And in come the usual comments of "It's Japan so it's not that impressive", despite Japan being the third largest country for video game revenue (by a long, long way).

Also; "The new consoles are short of stock so this is expected", despite the fact that the PS5 has broken records as the fastest-selling PlayStation and already sold 10 million units. The install base should be there, people aren't buying the software to go with it it would seem.

Don't believe anyone that tries to tell you this isn't impressive. They are either trolling or in denial. Taking all top 30 spots two months on the bounce for a market so large is very, very impressive and will likely never be repeated.

Let's hope Nintendo don't become complacent and rest on their laurels.

What a brilliant demo. Wasn't sure about this but I'm sold. I love how each character plays differently. It makes every mini game feel different for each one. Really excited about the full release now.
