Well folks, it's been another jam-packed week at Nintendo Life, with plenty of highlights to mention! First up, the excellent Mario Strikers: Battle League launched on Friday and we thought it was a great sports game for the Switch in our review. Similarly, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords launched digitally on the eShop, but Limited Run Games confirmed a physical release of the game later this year, along with a boat load of other announcements.
Elsewhere, we got our first glimpse at the long-awaited Flashback 2 at the Summer Game Fest live stream, bringing an end to an agonising 30-year wait. We also got a release date for TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, and it's a lot closer than you might expect! Finally, in a bittersweet story, the folks over on Twitter rallied together to help a young cancer patient connect with The Pokémon Company.
Now it's time to chill out and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

This weekend, I'm still playing through Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. I downloaded the sequel ready for when I'm done, but I may hold off on it until the additional DLC is added. I'm very much enjoying my time with KOTOR though. Once you get past the admittedly slow start, it's a great world to get lost in.
Other than that, there's not a whole lot else I'm playing right now. I'm right in the middle of Stranger Things 4 at the moment, so no doubt my wife and I will put some time aside to polish that off at some point.

Can you feel it? The excitement of the non-E3 E3 season? Sometimes from our side as journalists the fear of missing out some important news. Madness is here and all we can do is hope our wallets can handle it. Great week for my Switch with physical copies of Redout Space Assault, Gear Shifters, Narita Boy, Axiom Verge 2 and Demon Slayer all rubbing elbows to get my attention this four (!) day weekend. But they do have some top tier competition...
Game of the week is Mario Strikers Battle League Football. I’m sure you’re all thinking “Ah yes, the obvious choice” but you would be disregarding the amount of time I had with this franchise all the way back to the original GameCube outing during college. Play ball!

This weekend is my five year anniversary (woo!!!) but we don't really have many big plans, other than eating good food and playing Dungeons & Dragons! I'll probably be playing a lot of [REDACTED] for a review, Return of the Obra Dinn for Backlog Club, and Hollow Knight in anticipation of next month's Backlog Club choice.

This weekend, I’m going away with my partner, but that doesn’t mean that video games are entirely out of the equation! I’ll be making time to check out the demo for Yurukill: The Calumniation Games. That game has strong Danganronpa vibes, but with even more visual novel elements and some shump segments? Sounds wild. I’m totally in.
Also on the docket is – weirdly – Super Mario Sunshine. Don’t ask why I’ve randomly decided to pick this up again as part of the Super Mario 3D All-Stars bundle. I’ve just had a sudden urge to play some. Maybe it’s the lovely weather? Maybe I just really want to be at the beach on an island covered in goop and paint? Maybe the camera controls won’t annoy me that much this time? Ah well, we’ll see. Happy gaming!
Felix Sanchez, video producer
This weekend I'm planing on playing some Wii games with my little brother. WarioWare, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Sports, the whole bunch! My wii has been broken for a couple of years, so it's gonna be nice to finally be able to play it again!
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend gaming plans!

I’m playing through Yurukill: The Calumniation Games at the moment. It’s kinda weird but not in a bad way, pretty interesting so far.
Also been playing a bit of Mario Strikers: Battle League Football except there’s like nothing to do so probably won’t be putting much time into it even though the gameplay is fun.
An occasional run in The Binding of Isaac on the side and maybe some Touhou Spell Bubble online multiplayer to fill the void that was meant to be taken up by Mario Strikers if there was more of a reason to play it at launch.
Fortnite. Just Fortnite. Nothing but Fortnite. I've become the very thing I've hated. Forgive me, friends at Nintendolife (if I'm even worthy of calling you that after this). I have failed you.
(Also as a sidenote, I want to give a shoutout to Poinpy. Shadow dropped onto Netflix's game service yesterday, and it's really fun. It's published by Devolver Digital, and made by Ojiro Fumoto, original creator of the game Downwell. The game is sort of a spiritual successor to that title, with the creator jokingly referring to it as Upwell. It's a shame the game wasn't released on console and is locked behind the Netflix paywall. If you do have access to it, I strongly recommend it.)
Now back to Fortnite...
I've just bought the Octo Expansion for Splatoon 2 so going to play through that. I haven't touched Splatoon in a while so very much looking forward to it.
Other than that I am bouncing between Elden Ring, Kena: Bridge of Spirits and Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition.
I just have 2 more achievements to mop up in Slipstream, so will mostly be playing that.
I'll probably return to Titan Quest after that. I hate the idea of a game beating me.
Mario strikers with the kids.
This week I will be mostly playing
Star Parodier
Lego Skywalker Saga
I will continue working on DQ11, and Devil Survivor this weekend. I need to also make time for my visual novels Olympia Soiree and World End Syndrome. It does not help I got a new visual novel on switch called Island. We will see how that one goes down the line,
I played Cat Quest 1 & 2 Switch for this weekend. 🙂
Just beat Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter earlier this morning, great game if you can get into it.
Then I started Symphony of War The Nephilim Saga which was a game I first heard about just yesterday but it seemed interesting enough that I wanted to get in right away. It feels like a bit of an mix of Fire Emblem and the Langrisser games with units consisting of squads of editable soldiers, I'm only two maps in (barring the short tutorial) but it seems solid so far, lots of mechanics and resource management which I like.
I'm painting my house at the moment so very busy. However I've purchased Kirby and the Forgotten Land as my reward so hopefully will get some time to play it.
Have a good weekend everyone.
I have made huge progress in my first play through of Ocarina of Time in over 20 years. I finished the Forest Temple last night and I'm now clearing up some loose ends before making my way to the Fire Temple. Other than some dodgy camera and Z-targetting issues, it's held up magnificently.
Rocket League - I am on absolute fire at the moment. My new level of play has gave me a new found confidence and I'm going for balls that I would never have attempted before. In one game the other day, I scored a type of goal I'd never scored before and then followed it up by scoring a similar but even better version a minute later in the same game.
Other than that, I'm off to Belgium for dinner.
I just traveled 8000 miles by plane, so I might not have the mental faculties for games, but if I am to play any, it'l be Hollow Knight.
Mario Strikers Battle League Socc.. ehr.. Football ⚽️
Mostly Switch for this weekend - from recently obtained stuff like Devil May Cry, Talisman, Siegecraft Commander, Clan O'Conall, Nefarious and Ara Fell to the more usual suspects like Xenoblade games, Rune Factory 5, Saints Row 4, BotW and Immortals, Bloodstained, Portia, Vostok Inc, Dying Light, possibly Torchlight 2 and Guacamelee (which Clan O'Conall manages to evoke some vibes of even despite playing more like Trine in general), perchance Puzzle Quest or Fairy Knights... not to neglect the handheld domain, though - Spirit of Justice, Endless Frontier, Altair's Chronicles and Tales of Eternia are the least I hope to dedicate a bit of weekend free time to.
Continuing in earthbound, think I’m nearly done in Fourside. Still enjoying it overall, some bits got a bit tedious but the comments on this site recently suggested it picks up from here so will keep going.
More slay the spire, can’t drag myself away.
Have also, almost by accident got a bit addicted to nes gradius. I played it on the actual nes many years ago but have never been much of one for shooters. I don’t really have the patience to play the same bits over and over in order to get good enough. But for some reason it seems to have dug it’s 8-bit claws into me.
Dragon's Dogma. This game is sometimes epic...sometimes long winded. But any clunkyness is totally forgivable. Having a great time playing it.
Been replaying Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors. Would like to try to finish both it and Zero Time Dilemma (I already recently replayed Virtue's Last Reward, always liked it more than 999 so prioritized it) before Nirvana Initiative but not sure I have time for the latter.
Basically the only game I've played in the last year: Genshin Impact. It's been around this time that I started playing it, and I've been playing it every day since.
It's about the only game I really have time to play anymore, since my new job has me work 10-hour shifts four days out of the week, starting at 6:00 in the morning. And then when I get home, I still have to eat dinner, wash the dishes, and do other things.
So I do the daily commission quests, take care of some of the Battle Pass stuff, and if I have a day off, do some exploration, world quests, or dungeon crawling.
On the Switch, I finally decided to revisit Crosscode to play through the DLC. That being said, I quickly realized I'm very underprepared for it, so I'm working on grinding before I get back to the DLC. It's fun to return to this one, though!
On other platforms, I finished Horizon Zero Dawn on my Steam Deck! I was going to jump straight into the DLC originally, but I'm feeling burned out, so I decided to start Spyro 2 in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy instead. I'm already about halfway through and having a lot of fun! I also got the new Capcom bundle from Humble Bundle, so I'll probably be playing some Street Fighter on there as well. I'd also like to get back to Evil Dead: The Game on PS5 and Xenosaga Episode II on PS2 soon.
I started playing Metal Max Xeno Reborn yesterday and am enjoying it so far.
I've been back at Ring Fit Adventure for three days now after a hiatus of two months and change. Feels good to work out again, I just need to be careful with my left arm.
I'll try and knock off a level or two in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania. Also continuing Blue Reflection: Second Light and probably some Cotton Fantasy
Elsewhere: crocheting a sweater (in the home stretch now), listening to music and going to see Maverick tomorrow.
@Abeedo is that something I can play with my regular Netflix account, or is that something else?
I can play like an hour or 2 a week. But I've been really enjoying Octopath traveler. The 32 smaller story chapters really work for me. Play a chapter, feel like you've had a nice chunk of story, walk to the next town and do it all over again the next time you play! (It's why people disliked this game, but if you know not to inspect big or even interconnected stories it's a lot of fun! )
SWITCH
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth - my hatred for the Solar System challenge ever grows.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl - now that voice acting is in the game, it makes the gameplay at least 10x more fun!
PC
XIII - The first game I ever remember playing! Gonna see how much I can remember lol
GTA Online - multiplayer with friends later tonight.
Have a good weekend everyone!
@garfreek Yes, luckily you can. Just hop into Netflix on your mobile and click on the game tab. Clicking on the game you want should redirect you to the app store to install the game. Once installed, the game will confirm you've logged into Netflix on the device, and then you can start playing.
Well... On Nintendo Switch, I'm only played Ghost Ship Panic mini-game in Resident Evil: Revelations for 4 times. To my sadness, my gaming plans with Nintendo Switch was ruined again, 'cause of visit of my aunt... Again... Sigh On Android, I finished final, all main missions, and about 20 arcade challenges in Retro City Rampage DX+. I completed game on 84%. In Lucius Demake, I stopped on 12th chapter. And in RETSNOM, I completed 3 levels in World 1 Prologue. Sadly, that's all what I've played on this week... Have a nice gaming weekend, everyone.
Feels like I just said this yesterday..
Just more Fortnite and Diablo Immortal unless NoA decides to give us a summer sale here too.. starting to have my doubts though.
I've made a little progress in Let's Go Pikachu since last time (beat the Silph Co mission and got a BUNCH of mons for the dex) so I'll definitely want to beat Sabrina and maybe Blaine by the end of Sunday. Apart from that though, I've been continuing Kirby 64 and have gotten midway through Shiver Star, plan on getting some shiny hunting done in SwSh (Drilbur) and BDSP (Illumise) and maybe get some more stuff in Pokemon Unite done.
Timespinner, Shinsekai Into the Depths and Animal Crossing.
I'm having too much fun with mario strikers it's gonna be my casual go-to game for the summer.
If I get to play a little bit it will be No More Heroes III. 4 killers left in the ranking
Tiny Toon Adventures NES, lol
I may continue my very casual and leisurely paced playthrough of Triangle Strategy. I’m finally in the last third of the game now, but I’m enjoying the game a lot, despite my glacial pace in playing it.
Other than potentially that, I’m anticipating I’ll start up The Quarry.
Hades, Hades, Hades and more Hades! I just cannot put this game down.
I’m going to be playing re4 with my brother so far it’s pretty fun looking forward to the remake
Phoenix Point Behemoth Edition na PS5 (first time ever playing this kind of strategy game on console)
Pokémon Legends: Arceus (working on complete Pokédex)
Still playing Dragon Quest XI. Over a 100 hours into it. My first DQ and enjoying it - especially on how well they ported it to the Switch without sacrificing too much.
Are we getting a not e3 Nintendo Direct or not? Its almost mid june already and we havent gotten any announcement a lot of other events have already happened
Final Fantasy VII Remake (PC) Sonic Mania (Switch) Oddworld Soulstorm (PS5) I might play some New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe too if I'm in the mood. I've nearly finished that game with all Gold Coins collected so I would like to finish it ASAP.
I got to the credits in Mario 3D World which was pretty good - it was a fun game and the co-op mode is crazy when with family.
I will probably concentrate on Fenyx Immortals Rising this weekend - I want to finish it before Xenoblade 3 comes out next month.
I recently picked up a copy of Far Cry 6 for Series X, so I'll probably start that. I'm also trying to finish Final Fantasy 13 and get the rest of the achievements in Resident Evil 2 Remake.
On Switch I'm playing Blue Reflection & Mario Strikers.
And for PS5, I'm finishing up the last trophies in Uncharted Collection for the Platinum (only Uncharted 4 left)
No games for me again. Got to save money, and I know if I play games I will buy more games! Read November 9 by Colleen hoover which was excellent. Might read murder on the orient express xxx
Mostly PC games this weekend. Steam is having a free weekend for The Anacrusis, so far I like it. Think Left 4 Dead, but with aliens and on a giant spaceship. Because of GOG's summer sale, also playing Strike Commander and Blake Stone Aliens of Gold.
Switch side of things, My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure. Beat the game, but I like coming back to explore and play the mini-games.
Switch Sports, Rune Factory 5 and Mario Strikers Battle League Football for me this weekend
Overwatch, Enter the gungeon, and crash bandicoot
A mixture between Mario Strikers, MH Rise and MK8 Deluxe. I'll also be watching the Xbox Showcase on Sunday, hopefully Goldeneye for Xbox and Switch is real.
playing monster hunter stories 2, lego skywalker and hot wheels unleashed.
Making my way through .Hack GU Last Recode. So far I’m on Vol.3 and enjoying it quite a bit.
Age of Empires: Castle Siege (Android) - The offline workaround is very sloppy on here, progress has crashed twice on me so far.
iStunt 2 (Windows Phone) - Still playing here and there.
The Great Wobo Escape (Windows Phone) - Still not sold on this, but I will see it to the end.
Removed - disrespecting others
@Anti-Matter It's fine. They just want to save a bit of money. Besides it's nice to see someone talk about reading for a change.
@Abeedo I didn't know this, thanks!!
Looking to finish 13 Sentinels. Just have to finish the last 5 RTS missions. What a game!
Eastward (again, physical) on Switch
Prob starting Nier Replicant on PS
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising (again, Switch this time) for taking breaks from the others. (It's a side quest game.)
This weekend I have Mario Strikers Battle League joining the fight for my Switch’s cartridge slot - it’s fun so far but it’s also been 30 years since I was really into sports video games (early Maddens and NHL Hockeys) so I do wish it had a story/campaign mode to hold my attention.
Otherwise, still playing Slay the Spire, trying to win with the Defect but Heart-sama always smooshes me before I can get going.
CrossCode has me a little stuck in the first dungeon bc I’ve cleared every floor and gathered 4 or 5 keys, but a final door refuses to open! JUST OPEN ALREADY so I can get back to enjoying the game!!
This is why I didn’t really miss huge dungeons in BOTW. 😅
Wishing everyone a happy weekend!
I am playing the booby pirate JRPG, Seven Pirates. It’s hysterically funny. I am living for it. I have laughed out loud so many times. I’m totally getting my moneys worth out of this one.
Mostly shantae and the 7 sirens. With the little ones some ninja saviors and the take over. And we only played a round of Mario strikers so hopefully some more tonight.
Tetris 99 & Nintendo Switch Sports on the Switch side of things whilst I caved and bought a month of gamepass to catch up on a long list of games. Currently wrapping up Forza Horizon 5 and loving it! Tunic & Trek to Yoma up next
I was planning on playing Mario Kart: Double Dash!! For the first time this weekend but unfortunately it looks like that won't be happening as it still hasn't come through the mail, hopefully next week
I am about to finish Fire Emblem Three Houses just before Three Hopes arrives. Also No More Heroes 3, which is really freakin hard sometimes.
Slowly working my way through Paper Mario: The Origami King! Close to finishing the second world now. Good fun, not too stressful
Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty ...if anyone even remembers the existence of that """gem""". :/
I made it to Disc 2 in Xenogears (50 hours in now) and holy crap so much happened! The end of disc 1 was really wild...between the truth about the Soylent system, Citan revealing his true intentions, Hammer betraying the party and killing Elly's mother (I REALLY didn't think he was going to do it), and finding out that Fei was actually Id the entire time...man I have no words and that wasn't even everything! I'm currently on the second dungeon in Disc 2 and you know this Disc isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. At this point in the game I'm really eager to have to rest of my questions answered. Hopefully I can finish the game this weekend!
Switch: I'm right before the final boss fight in Torna: The Golden Country, so I hope to kick Malos's butt 500 years in the past and then deal with onion-cutting ninjas as a result. I love my time with the game, in fact I prefer the combat system over base XC2. I'll also briefly load my copy of Pokemon Shield to grab those two free 'Mon.
3DS: Still puzzling away in Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy. Chapter 5, 130 puzzles solved, and gallivanting around the new area that just unlocked. We need to find that last egg....
I may also dive into Kirby: Nightmare In Dream Land on the Wii U VC if I find the time. I'm itching for more pink puffball action. I still need to grab Amazing Mirror and Return To Dream Land on it at some point too.
Happy gaming!
@Vix
Oh, I have finished Quest for Booty 2 years ago.
It was very short Ratchet & Clank games on PS3. I finished the game in 2 days.
Too bad the game was very linear so I have to create more than 1 save files to revisit previous places before proceeding to storyline as I couldn't return after that.
Last night I tried the Moonlighter dlc boss first time, successfully. Great and addictive gameplay loop.
Hmm. For starters, Animal Crossing New Horizons, I am in the process of renovating my island, in an attempt to bring it up to 5 Stars. I might play Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy., though on the PS4.
Trying to get the feel of Mario Strikers Battle League. I’ll be playing the cup mode for quite awhile before I jump in online. Also I started New Pokémon Snap. And I’ll be playing Shantae and Cotton games too.
It won't be Return of the Obra Dinn, because I finished that two days ago. Looking forward to the discussion!
I booted up Mario Party 4 again, in an effort to unlock its last few minigames (I'm missing one 4P minigame, one Bowser minigame, and two miscellaneous ones) and Expert CPUs. Goomba's Greedy Gala is still my favorite board ("The House wins! ...Er, I mean, tough luck!"). Also, is it just me, or are Bowser minigames rigged to be Fruits of Doom 95 % of the time?
I've also been playing more Mario Super Sluggers. Multiplayer, mostly...though I've also given the challenge mode a try.
I would be playing Mario Strikers Battle League but my copy doesn’t arrive until the 14th. So I’ll probably try out the 3 Hopes demo.
This Weekend i'll be playing
The Sims 3 (PC)
I'll also will be watching the Xbox / Bethesda Showcase tomorrow as well.
Breath of the Wild and Rivals of Aether
This weekend, I'm looking to play some Pokémon Ruby. As well as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, as that's been an almost nightly thing with the kids. I might take a vacation to my island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons as well.
My Xbox Series S arrives today, so I'll be setting it up and firing up Elden Ring.
“Arise: a simple story” is a great puzzle platformer: beautiful, good story, decent mechanics. Still progressing through Hot Wheels unleashed, some of those tracks are pretty intense. Going backward I played Trials Rising, it is so fun and there are tracks I missed in my first play through.
Happy gaming everyone!
I have not been gaming much at all of late but it’s been kinda nice taking a bit of a break. If I get any gaming in it’ll likely be “diving” back into Subnautica…other than that really no plans for gaming. I’m sure my weekend will be spent enjoying some good food, might catch up on some Comics…my strains on deck this weekend are some classic Super Silver Haze, LA Kush Cake, Death Bubba and some seriously potent Nitro Cookies!
Have a great weekend!
Still need to get a new tv, so in the interim I've been playing Dreamcast on my tiny old samsung with built in VHS player. MvC2, Zombie Revenge, Dynamite Cop, feels like 2001 again.
Couple fun eshop-sale games and a couple serious backlog games:
Clockwork Aquario - a cute little retro arcade game. Weird hitboxes keep killing me, but game reviews seem to say the game is easy, so maybe I'm just bad. 🤪 Regardless, I'm having lots of fun jumping and head bopping along.
Pixel Game Maker MessiahEnd Refrain - a cute little Castlevania-lite (to make up a genre). First game I've played in the pixel game maker series, but its a ton of fun so far. Incoherent plot, but good if simple game mechanics and the character models are adorable and hilarious (my favorite is the buff bartender). Not too hard or too easy, just a fun time.
Hollow Knight - like Kate, playing in anticipation of next month's NintendoLife backlog club. Amazing although slightly stressful game; I'm trying to play in small chunks so I don't get sucked into playing for 12 hours straight.
Octopath Traveler - Finally trying to get back to this game after a years-long break. I decided to just restart from scratch using the dancer path.
I'm not enjoying Souldiers as much as I had hoped. The load times are shocking and the controls aren't quite tight enough. But it's still alright, I guess. I don't hate it, and it's certainly beautiful looking.
Lost Ruins, on the other hand, is great so far. It just needs more music. Otherwise, chef's kiss.
Mario Strikers: Battle League
Strikers Club Code: 2NL60MD
Please feel free to squad up and join my club!
… Wun can only hope.
After not really playing games the last couple weeks, I'm looking forward to jumping into Demon Slayer on my Switch tonight. Might work on Pokemon Omega Ruby or Black before then, as I'm trying to play all generations before ScarletViolet release in November. Spent some time the last two days rearranging my dex in Shield, but I may just move everything over to Home and worry more on the living dex in there.
Other than that, if I've got the time, I'll probably boot up my PS4 with Yakuza 7 or re:Chain of Memories again. Really need to work on those two.
Mobile: Diablo Immortal — Still plugging away at this one. Still really enjoying it as well.
Tabletop: Dungeon and Dragons — Continuing with my groups trek into Eislecross this weekend. We had a few weeks break due to job schedule conflicts but, it's time to get back to the game.
Im playing these games this weekend
WWE 2K22 for my Playstation 4
Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic for my Nintendo Switch Lite
and either Zelda Skyward Sword or Resident Evil 5 also for my Switch Lite
@Teksetter Deffect is the most powerful character in the game.
Because he has several alternatives.
I'm on Ascension 19 with him, and the trick to winning the heart is to bet ON DEFENSE.
Just use the ice orb! Worry about defending yourself, because doing that, you can have 60 defense in 3 turns if you do it right, using cards that give Loop and Focus.
If you have a chance to replace the original power (which gives a thunder orb) with another one, it's better. The first thing I do in my Run is try to get everything related to thunder out of my deck, so I just stick with what makes ice.
Stick with a small deck (up to 15 cards), all defense and 2 or 3 powerful attacks..or 3 claws!
Increase the number of orbs, focus and make them all ice. You will have an insurmountable barrier.
Yesterday I beat the heart (Ascension 18) and I had almost 240 defense per turn! Even with few attack cards, it was a matter of patience. It was impossible for me to lose!
PS: the only card required for this strategy to work is the card that gives a random power at the beginning of the turn! This is the best card in the entire game! (You won´t use every power. Some powers you cannot use so you destroy your strategy...focus on defense, looping, number of orbs and focus power and ignore other powers). Defend yourself until you have a big defense barrier. After that, attack, attack, attack! You´ll win!
Good luck and good game!
This Weekend:
Me:
Wife:
She is playing little, because she is approaching 3 months of pregnancy, with a lot of nausea!
I spent most of the week at home with a sick 4-year-old, and since I was trying to get him to relax I decided I'd rather let him play video games than watch the awful crap he watches on YouTube. So he ended up finishing his 1-player campaigns in Figment, Pikuniku, and Thomas Was Alone. We also made good progress on Ibb & Obb. I only wish I could get through my backlog as fast as he is.
13 Sentinels and Mario Strikers 3!
Lots of Mario strikers and hollow knight. Have a great weekend everybody!
Of all of the games I have I'm actually playing Pokemon Yellow on 3DS. I think I'll do a gym a day until I finish it.
I've been in a 3DS binge lately since I'm picking up some old games I wanted before they go up in price. I just finished Poochy and Yoshy's Wooly World and StarFox 64 3D. Next will be the demake of Luigi's Mansion on 3DS (that I got for quite a low price surprisignly) and Zelda Skyward Sword on Switch.
Strikers and SMT V. Would like to finish my Pokédex in arceus, just need orbs for spiritomb, and gosh darn cranidos, but I probably won’t do it. Similar vibe for Kirby, just need to finish the final tournament to 100% but I also might never finish that
I’ll spend the weekend with some more Monster Hunter Rise! So much to learn. It’s starting to get hooks in me. Happy gaming!
I will be playing Wolfenstein: Youngblood once it's downloaded (the eShop is ridiculously slow atm).
It's 60% off atm (around €8) and I thought it looked quite interesting having light RPG elements and a more open ended level design compared to Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, so I caved in and bought it (actually really looking forward to try it out).
I honestly have no idea. But the mention of SUNSHINE hase thinking about jumping back into that! Thanks, Alana!
Football Manager for me and Mario Kart & Strikers with the boy.
Bought 40k Mechanicus in the sale and so will need to find time to dedicate to that at some point.
Lately, I've actually gone back to the original Hyrule Warriors and have been slowly chipping away at the Adventure Mode maps. Just finished The Great Sea. I'd like to 100% complete that game someday, but I still have a looooong way to go. Still waiting for Kao to get a patch to fix the save data issue so I can play through it.
@OorWullie what a save!
What a save!
What a save!
What a save!
This weekend, I just want to take it easy. I've been very busy these past weeks due to the end of the school year, and as a teacher it means it's time to see who will need an extra push.
I said I was going to be there at day 1 for Mario Strikers: Battle League, but unfortunately I went on a school trip with my students. It was very tiring and we didn't go to any malls so I couldn't get it. Now it'll have to wait until next week to get it. By then, I'll be mostly free from homeworks and whatnot.
As for what I'm playing this weekend. I'm playing the SP versions that just came out for Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby's Dream Course.
For actual progress, I'm playing through the digital version of Super Mario Galaxy 2 that's on the Wii U eShop. I just arrived to World 3.
This game is better than the first one, but unfortunately it's not as easy to find physically in my area, not even the Nintendo Selects release.
Recently completed the digital version of Metroid: Other M with a 100% item pickup rate on Normal Difficulty. Now I'm venturing to the Bottleship on Hard Difficulty.
I’ll be playing Mario Strikers Battle League and Fortnite. Battle League is SO fun, but it’s unbelievably sad that there is no ability to play with up to 3 other friends online in the Club mode. My friends and I really bummed about it.
@Rykdrew
Thank you for the detailed strategy! I’ve felt similarly lately, that I just need to focus on “D” and ice and then just take my time on offense afterward. I’ve just been impatient and too easily distracted to focus on any one strategy. 😅
Those are amazing stats that you’ve reached, though! I was wondering about how OP decks could get in the hands of good players.
Stardew Valley, maybe Hitman Trilogy or Super Mario Sunshine.
@Anti-Matter Point taken. Have a great weekend x
Replaying Super Mario Bros. 3 and Earthbound
@Dragonslacker1
There's no point to take there, I think. Personally, I have been enjoying hearing about what you are reading. I hope that you continue to make posts like this, and I also hope that your situation improves soon, if it is okay for me to say that.
@shgamer Youngblood is pretty bad. You're going to be disappointed. Worst Wolfenstein in the series.
Mad Max on PS5. I'm in the Pink Eye, The Dump and Gas Town regions. Completely leveled up but the enemies are still tough. Especially the convoys. Another dozen or so hours of gameplay I guess. Really enjoying this game.
I just pre-ordered TMNT: Shredder's Revenge on Switch. So stoked!
Kirby and the forgotten land
@BinaryMessiah Oh sad to hear that, but I'm going to give it try anyway.
Played 1½ hours yesterday and actually enjoyed the gameplay; it kinda reminded me a bit of RE4/5 where you have some action sequences killing all the enemies and then search for silver coins (and gold bars, I think) for upgrading weapons etc., and then health and armor power ups and ammunition.
But of course it's your standard FPS fare and some criticize the enemies for being bullet sponges, so maybe you're right (some of the enemies has armor though and there are two types of them, and you has to use specific weapons for each type, for them to be effective).
But we'll see .
I'm planning on playing Splatoon 2 and then trying to find a visual novel/maybe otome my wife is interested in.
The new Mario Strikers because I have a Mario addiction lol
Bust-A-Move 2 in anticipation for it's Saturn version rerelease they announced like a couple months ago.
I am currently scaling the final tower of Alwa's Legacy and expect to have it beaten later today. I'll be taking a break from Metroidvanias for a bit after this and going for pure action in Steel Assault. I've got a few others on (future) tap such as Wallachia: Reign of Dracula, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, Super Cyborg, Until the End, Arrest of a Stone Buddha, and of course, Torna: The Golden Country that I NEED to stop procrastinating on if I hope to play XC3 ONE day.
@BinaryMessiah Ok, I've played some more of Youngblood and it is a very by the numbers FPS. It is however better than Wolfenstein (2009), which I found boring.
It's not as good Return to Wolfenstein though. Wolfenstein 3D is the only other Wolfenstein I've played and I always found that one's graphics a bit too primitive (but then again it was the first FPS ever I think, so that was to be expected - the original Doom was the first FPS I really enjoyed).
For the price I paid for Youngblood (around €8), I'm satified and I will try to finish it.
@Ewaldus Nah, on this side of the pond, you were right the first time...
Beat Shadowverse Champions Battle earlier this week, currently going through inFAMOUS and still have 7th Dragon III Code VFD to finish.
@Abeedo Dude, thank you for highlighting Poinpy! I had missed the announcement but I'm a huge Downwell fan so when I saw you mention it I immediately went and nabbed it. It's a treat!
Right now Chapter 5 in Butt Detective Oshiri Nintendo switch~ 🤣 I just got: Crayon Shin-chan Nintendo switch & Rilakkuma Nintendo Switch~ 🤣🔥🤙
