Ubisoft has announced that it will be broadcasting a special Assassin's Creed 15th Anniversary Celebration Livestream, complete with a look back on the franchise's history along with a few teases as to what's to come later in the year.
The livestream will kick off at 9am PT / 5pm BST / 6pm CEST. As for what it'll actually contain, we'd honestly be surprised if there's anything Switch related; Ubisoft is likely to focus primarily on Assassin's Creed Valhalla and its newly released Discovery Tour accompaniment. We're also expecting to see information on new comics, books, and other media, and possibly a glimpse at the much-discussed Assassin's Creed Infinity.
Still, we're going to keep our fingers crossed. It might be nice to see the original Assassin's Creed receive a modern update for current systems, which might put it in line for an eventual Switch release. Otherwise, we'd recommend going into this one with your expectations in check.
What are you hoping to see from the 15th Anniversary Livestream? Let us know in the comments!

yay! more assassins creed!/s
I have never played an Assassins Creed game or even watched someone playing it.
There can't be many of my kind in the World today.
@OorWullie I was in the same boat until a couple months ago when i saw one on Xbox store for 4.99 and said screw it let’s see what all the hubbub is all about.
I don't have to be told not to get my hopes up. After having finished Valhalla and the year 1 DLC, my excitement for the series is at all time low. We'll see...
@OorWullie They are decent games to be fair. I think people are just a bit fatigued of the franchise since they make so many of them.
They have a corner of the market as they are games set in a (somewhat) realistic period of history. It has always surprised me that other developers don't do more of that.
If you do ever want to try them I recommend starting with Origins. It's a great game with a great setting.
The Assassin's Creed 2 trilogy is where I fell in love with the series. It's also easy to find them on current gen systems for cheap. Since I have the whole collection on Xbox, I wouldn't mind an updated AC1, possibly making the flags easier to find, etc. I'm an adult now, I don't have time to spend 200 hours hunting those little jerks down.
Just hearing the word Assassins Creed makes me feel exhausted and I only ever played part of 2. I’d rather clean my house, at least doing chores in real life is productive.
@Vriess But you enjoy the Valhalla game?
The last game i played it was Assassins Creed: Rogue (it's one of my favorite Assassins Creed) , i think so. I try to play the "Origens", but i didn't enjoy.
@Luigisghost669 Wait, which one did you get? Cause that fact alone makes a whole world of difference
@Luigisghost669 How was it for you, worth the fuss?
@Jey887 I'm sure I'll try one eventually. I always meant to buy Black Flag on Wii U but never got round to it. I'm not really a fan of Ubisoft games.
All I want is a remake of Assassin's Creed 1. If not just a port of AC1 to Switch. If we can get a proper port of Origins that be coooooool.
As for my expectations? We'll get live service Assassin's Creed which will be a sequel to Valhalla but not as good.
I just wish the series would go back to its roots.
I think the series needs a good long break. It hasn’t been good for me since Syndicate, I don’t care for these new gameplay mechanics.
Go back to actually being an assassin, not just some random guy in history, the entire reason I haven't played odyssey or Valhalla yet.
@Lem1697 it was everyone’s favorite since the day it came out, Unity
I’ve just started black flag and enjoying so far, that said I’m also watching black sails, bit of a pirate theme at the moment
How come the Assassin's Creed franchise is celebrating 15 year anniversary now??? The first entry came out in november??
@Luigisghost669 Oh no, lmao. That one is fine, but I recommend the Ezio trilogy. That's peak AC
Introducing assassin's creed nfts & assassin's creed battle royale
@Brow001
I came to AC very late. Never liked the gameplay of the first couple of games that much. AC Origins changed that for me. I somewhat liked Valhalla the first 20 or so hours. Then the repetitive mission structure and the somewhat monotonous scenery started weighing on me. This monotony was present in Origins and Odyssey too, but I didn't mind it so much as the worlds were far more interesting and immersive to me. I played so much of Valhalla because I bought the gold edition on day one and was committed to get my money's worth. That's why I continued, even when I got really bored in the end.
@Vriess I totally understand you, bro! That the exactly thing did to me! It's not a bad game, but when the times goes on... the game became so repetetive. And about that "...committed to get my money's worth..." I KNOW! Sometime that ***** happens to me! Even when i didn't like, i will finish the game.
I don't know if you already play "The witcher 3", but it's a game with a big world, very immersive, and it's not repetitive, you know? I know, everyone talk about "the witcher 3" like that. But... if you didn't play... you should to try. Sure, this game has some problem, but... it's a nice game.
But, today it's the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE DAY, DUDE! hahaha
Do you like?
@Brow001
Not sure If I want to play the next AC. If it's a gorgeous setting and good story, then maybe. We'll see.
Only played the opening hours of Witcher 3. Compared to PC, I found the PS4 version a bit lacking in the graphics departement and especially in framerate. I'm waiting for the next gen patch for PS5. Even if it's "only" performance mode, I'd really like to play this game in 60fps. Hopefully by the end of this year(?)
And TMNT...totally! Played this game with my daughters today. So much fun. Like with SoR4
@Vriess That next gen patch for PS5, has been promissed a long time ago. Maybe... by this year should be launch. (I hope so..)
I started to play TMNT, i've been enjoing a lot! I think that some of the greatest Beat 'em up i played in the last few years was "Street of rage 4" and "99vidas".
99 vidas i really love, beacause of that i listen this guys all the time ( they've a podcast here in Brazil, about classic video games, and the stuffs like that.) it's so awesome!
If you like Beat 'em up, i think that you should try play this game!
@Brow001
The next gen update for Witcher 3 is now slated for Q4 of this year. It will probably get delayed again. We'll see.
I didn't even know about 99Vidas... Looks like fun! Thanks for recommending that one.
@Vriess Ok, Bro!
If you would like to play TNMT, or other games... add me on Switch: SW-4215-9823-6412
i've been playing TNMT, Dark souls and Brawlhalla.
