I take it they still never added level scaling like they were supposedly going to do?

I would love it if they just added DS to Virtual Console and brought these over with Pokémon Home compatibility. I’d play through these again in a heartbeat to fill out my Pokémon collection.

Hopefully a new Nook upgrade is included in this update.... we need that and some more shops man.

Nope, absolutely not. Unless it’s a 3D remake of Generation 2, I’m not buying it. Didn’t buy the first Let’s Go games and I’m not buying these.

Nintendo hardly puts out a first party game this year, then announces this game is only available until March of next year knowing there’s gonna be huge demand for it.... what a f**king joke 🙄 headed back to the Wii U days at this rate...

Hopefully not too long after they drop the game they’ll show us Breath of the Wild 2 again!

I can’t stand the Warriors franchise, but seeing as the story is supposed to cover the events prior to Breath of the Wild, I’m willing to give this one a shot!

Hopefully they make a special edition Breath of the Wild 2 model that comes with a copy of the game! Either way though, I’m definitely picking one up!

If I do decide to get this, it’s only going to be to fill in the gaps of the story of the first game and then that’ll be it. Wish they would’ve covered the downfall of Hyrule in one of the DLCs as a playable flashback, but oh well.

Too bad Nintendo won’t talk about or discuss what games they have in the pipeline for 2020, because F the fans right? My Switch gets used for the occasional check in with my villagers in Animal Crossing and some Pokémon battles with my friends every so often and that’s about it. Absolutely disappointing year for Nintendo releases. There’s like zero momentum for the console after Animal Crossing and Xenoblade dropped.

Probably just gonna be playing The Witcher 3 again on PC, with some Valorant matches here and there. Then probably check in with my villagers in New Horizons and maybe a little bit of Modern Warfare on PS4. So much for that Nintendo Direct this week, am I right? 🙄 Not surprised it was a load of bull, but I’m honestly getting fed up with Nintendo’s silence at this point. Absolutely no excuse for it, man.

Surely this means we’re getting a high end Switch model next year as well. Imma have to save up money for this, PS5, and a Nvidia GTX 3090... 😐

Lmfao, I’m getting so sick of Nintendo’s drip feed bullsh—. Silent for months, then they finally drop a Pikmin 3 Deluxe trailer. So do they plan on finally discussing the remakes/remasters soon, or is it gonna be another several months of waiting for a 3 minute trailer confirming they exist? Nintendo really dropped the ball after Animal Crossing came out in terms of releases.

I absolutely love that the Xenoblade series is really picking up in popularity now!

Nahhhh...... hard pass. Didn’t even play the original version. If they’re gonna do Star Fox on Switch, they need to make a new one from the ground up, without a gimmicky control scheme that completely ruins the game.

Nintendo is running this series into the ground with the dumb restrictions...

I don’t give a damn how many accolades this game gets, still doesn’t make it a proper Paper Mario in my eyes. Hard pass until they bring back combat system, leveling, and compelling characters that aren’t all toads.

I mean, I can understand with PS5/Xbox Series X, but I feel like Switch games should stay $60.

I’m sure some are happy with some of the announcements, however, I’m not. I was expecting much more since there hasn’t been a mainline Direct in over a year. Absolutely pathetic on Nintendo’s part. They came out strong this year, but now they’re really starting to sh— the bed as far as the rest of the year goes.

I wouldn’t exactly call Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles an RPG by any stretch. The only RPG elements I really remember from that game was being able to get better weapons/armor. I never finished it because the final boss fight(s) were absolute bullsh—. Not a bad game, but not exactly one to write home about either.

Yeah, no.... hard pass for me. I’ll be picking up Ghost of Tsushima instead of this heap of trash. Let me know when they decide they wanna make a real Paper Mario game again.

I don’t trust Famitsu reviews, especially if they rated the last two highly when they most definitely were not by every other publication.

Fingers crossed The Origami King doesn’t turn out to be trash.... the Paper Mario Series really needs a win at this point. I’ve missed this franchise so much, and don’t want them to churn out another turd game with the Paper Mario name slapped on it.

Still not a fan of the battle system. This is definitely one I’m putting on the “wait and see what critics think” list. After Super Paper Mario onwards I’ve been a little skeptical of this one.

@KatiaManagan Why’s that? While it’s not perfect, for a free-to-play game it’s not a money-grubbing scheme and it’s actually pretty enjoyable. Could use some new game modes like team death match or something similar, but it’s not a bad start at all.

They barely do Nintendo Directs anymore as it is, and they wanna replace them with something else already?! GTFO! Show us some f___ing games already!

I know they’re having trouble with game development due to Covid and all but... come on man! Surely they have SOMETHING they can show us for f—ks sake! Are y’all really gonna let Xbox and PlayStation hog the limelight? Announce the Mario remasters already, show us a teaser of something new y’all are brewing up, and for god’s sake give us a new Breath of the Wild sequel trailer already! It’s been a little over a year now since anything has been said about that game.

Hopefully it’s Diamond and Pearl remake, and not anymore of that Let’s Go bulls—t. Hell, I’ll even take another Sword/Shield expansion pass over another Let’s Go.

For the love of god, it’s been an entire year since it’s initial reveal. Just show us more Breath of the Wild 2 already! Like why? Why? Covid Shmovid, show me the goods damn it!

I wonder if this means that their next game will also be set in the Xenoblade universe.

@GrandScribe Yeah right, I wouldn’t count on even so much as another teaser trailer for the game until much later in the year. It’s probably a 2021 game for sure given the global crisis we’re all dealing with.

I cannot wait to play the ultimate version of one of my favorite all time games! No way am I gonna have it beat before The Last of Us pt. 2, but that’s fine, because I know I’ll come back to it if I don’t finish by then. Since they’ve made adjustments to side quests, I’ll definitely be more inclined to do the vast majority of them this time around instead of endlessly grinding the same high level enemies over and over to level up and progress the plot haha. Advice for first timers, stick with it! If you get to a particularly tough section where you’re under leveled, grind for a bit or do side quests, and upgrade your arts and armor/weapons. Also doesn’t hurt to figure out how you wanna play, because there’s so much choice in how to approach combat thanks to the plethora of party members you meet along the way. But stick with it, because the story is so worth it.

@Henmii The Switch has only been out for four years. Do you really think Nintendo would be that dumb to move on already? The millions that have bought a Switch would riot in the streets.

It’s annoying when you’re whooping someone @$$ and they can’t take the loss because they’re sore losers and just disconnect.

Hopefully they keep digging and leak some stuff on Zelda, since Nintendo doesn’t seem to want to show it off. In all seriousness, they’re probably saving it for a full blowout in June, but still... cmon man 😑

I’m honestly pretty excited to give this game a try! Splatoon but melee only with ninjas sounds like a good idea to me!

Bet they’re saving huge announcements like Zelda for a huge June Direct. Slightly bummed but it was still a good watch! Can’t wait to play through Xenoblade Chronicles again with new content, and Ninjala looks pretty sweet! A melee only battle Royale style game with Splatoon like graphics, count me in!

At least they’re announcing something.. not feel too optimistic about a Nintendo Direct this week like the rumors said... but at least Platinum has something to announce.

2020’s become the year of disease and delays... hope everyone stays safe because that is the priority in the end. Maybe 2021 won’t have a whack outbreak of something and be a little better.

Like I’ve said, it’s better than paying $60 for an Ultra version or 3rd game, or sequel games like Black 2/White 2. We get more content, more Pokémon, so why the initial hate to begin with? I love Sword/Shield, first Pokémon game in years I’ve sunk 150 hours into over the course of two months. I was initially disappointed about the national dex missing, but once I started playing, that didn’t matter to me. Max Raid battles and the competitive side of it have me hooked and wanting to constantly build teams and improve upon them, and I’m sure I’ll sink a hundred or more hours into it before and after the expansions come out.

While I appreciated the Animal Crossing Direct, they needed to have a big Direct to detail other games coming this year. Hopefully this all but confirms a full on Direct is coming in the next couple weeks and this is one of the games in it finally getting a release date.

Well this is good, because if they did decide they were going to make a Switch Pro after all then I wasn’t going to buy it for fear of losing possibly hundreds of hours of time I could potentially put into my island.
