Re: Review: Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer (3DS)

JesWood13

Honestly, this should have just been add on content for New Leaf, free add on content at that. The ability to run a home design business in the main game and help the villagers redo their homes for payment would have added some life to New Leaf. Instead, they just made it a separate game..... 😞

Re: New Patent Sparks Talk of Potential NX Details

JesWood13

I really hope it's not digital only. Where I live currently, my internet isn't good at all. I can't really afford to move out either unless I get hired immediately after I graduate college in the spring. Plus, I like collecting physical copies of the ganes I purchase.

Re: Feature: The Biggest 3DS Retail Games of 2015 - Summer Edition

JesWood13

There's literally nothing on 3DS this year I'm interested in, and that's a bummer. Oh well, I have older games to catch up with on 3DS, Wii U, and PS4. That and I'm adding an Xbox One to my entertainment center soon, so it's not like I'll be in a drought game wise. Just bummed that there's nothing really for me on 3DS this year.

Re: Poll: What Do You Want From Nintendo's NX Platform?

JesWood13

Nintendo better get it right with NX, or I'm done. NX better have the games, more killer exclusives that Wii U had. They better have all their internal studios working on some killer apps for this thing, and it better have some killer launch games, or I won't buy it at launch.

Re: Animal Crossing Series Director Explains the amiibo Focus of Happy Home Designer and amiibo Festival

JesWood13

Hahaha..... Oh... I'm so close to trading in my Wii U and games for an Xbox One it's not even funny.... Nintendo is falling hard lately, and I can't believe I'm witnessing it in my lifetime. Im tired of the corporate speak they use to dodge the fact that they really don't care at all about what the fans want, and I'm tired of Nintendo thinking that they can push us into buying crap games like Happy Home Designer, Amiibo Festival, and Federation Forces. And before anyone tells me to "reserve judgement" because "they're not out yet", don't. I don't care, because as a long time fan of Nintendo, I'm truly and honestly ashamed of what decisions they've been making lately, because it's embarrassing.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Isn't Bringing Devil's Third To North America

JesWood13

@FlaygletheBagel I'm with you, Nintendo clearly could care less what the fans want. I hated the Xbox One from it's E3 unveiling, but after this year's E3, I'm 70% convinced into buying one! PS4 I've had since launch, and yes, the promise of exclusives is getting annoying seeing as we're not getting too many until next year.. But oh well. I picked up a PS4 mainly for the 3rd party stuff that Wii U clearly wasn't going to get. It just so happens that Sony has killer exclusives too.

Re: Unseen64 Digs Up Development Insights Into Metroid Prime: Hunters, Dread and Federation Force

JesWood13

If Nintendo has given NST another chance after the Project Hammer debacle died down and had let them be the ones to work on Federation Forces, then I might actually have a bit of hope for that game. Hunters wasn't that bad for a 1st 3D handheld iteration of Metroid. They could have hit it out of the park this time had they been the ones making Federation Forces, having actual experience making handheld 3D Metroid before. But, nope, Federation Forces will be a turd, and I hope Nintendo never hears the end of it.

Re: Japanese Gamers Share Their Views on Xenoblade Chronicles X

JesWood13

100+ hours for just the main story?! Damn.... I have a lot of time management to get sorted out this year... Between college, MGS5, Rock Band 4, Fallout 4, then this game... It's going to be another rough semester. I might not ever finish college with all these highly re-playable games coming out. 😩

Re: Hands On: Blast Ball Brings Crude Button Mashing and is a Poor Advert for Metroid Prime: Federation Force

JesWood13

The only Nintendo games coming we know about that I deem are worthy of my purchase are Super Mario Maker, Yoshi's Wooly World (I live in the states, so we don't get to play it until October...), Xenoblade Chronicles X, Fire Emblem Fates, and Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. As excited as I am about Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tensai, it's still a maybe for me because it kind of looks like a game that's been through development hell, but I hope it truly is a quality game. Star Fox is way iffy to me. I was initially excited, but the first impressions for it that are out in the wild put things in a different light for me about it, what with the iffy controls and all. Everything else shown in the E3 Event, including Metroid, is pure shovel ware that I wish would get canceled.

Re: Poll: Does Nintendo's Drive Towards Multiplayer Gaming Appeal to You?

JesWood13

Never thought Nintendo would push out turd games, but E3 though. So much disappointment. The Zelda game would be okay if it were just an eShop title, but being pushed as a retail AAA? Nah, not okay. To me, Zelda is all about going it alone, exploring the world and experiencing the story yourself. I feel the same way about Metroid as well. It's bad enough we get a lame Mario Party every two years, but now we suddenly have to turn Animal Crossing into a board game as well? What the hell were they thinking?! We better have the next main series Animal Crossing as an NX launch title next year to make up for this blasphemy is all I can say! When it boils down to it, I had such high expectations from Nintendo and then bam, one disspointing new game after another. Hopefully they get it right with a Direct soon and have some real quality content to show me to maybe regain my trust as a Nintendo fan. Otherwise, try again when NX is out, because Nintendo is just embarrassing themselves anymore.

Re: Talking Point: The Pros, Cons and Questionable Likelihood of a Nintendo NX Release in Summer 2016

JesWood13

I say bring on NX next year. They've pretty much killed the Wii U off, looking at their E3 this year. I just hope NX has super powerful hardware and is somehow backwards compatible with both 3DS & Wii U games. Like I mentioned in an earlier NX article, have an optional Gamepad 2.0 accessory that is capable of working separate from the console so you can play NX games on the go, launch it with the upcoming Zelda, a 3D Mario, and maybe an actually Animal Crossing game like we should have had on Wii U instead of lame Amiibo Festival, and that'd honestly be a pretty solid launch lineup and I'd be inclined to purchase it Day 1.

Re: Nintendo NX Will Avoid The Launch Issues Which Plagued 3DS And Wii U, Claims Iwata

JesWood13

I hope this thing has beastly specs if they really are aiming to bring the 3rd party publishers back. I also hope for Wii U backwards compatibility and the ability to play NX games on the go via an incredibly improved, but optional, Gamepad 2.0 or something that can function 100% as its own thing, like a handheld console would. Pack in a traditional controller for home play, and have a killer launch line up like the upcoming Zelda and some type of 3D Mario, and boom, we'll have another top seller like the Wii, hopefully...
