Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is just over a month away from release on Nintendo Switch, and Bethesda is already gearing up for the physical launch with three alternative covers (just in case the main one you get isn't quite enough).
You can download all three direct from Bethesda right here, so you can swap out the box art for something a little more fetching. The new artwork features BJ Blazkowicz in different combat scenarios, so whether you prefer gun-blazing mayhem or stealth takedowns, you’ll be able to print your favorite to reflect your preferred playstyle.
Will you be adding Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus to your collection come 29th June? Share your take with us below...

Not buying it. Unlike their other games for the Switch, Bethesda do not deserve my money for Wolfenstein 2.
PC it is then.
Wolfie2 or Dark Souls Remastered? Hmmm —> both
I do want this, but got too many back logged. Soon on holiday, with three games (owlboy, flashback & yoku's world) being delivered whilest I'm away. Also Crash coming out the same day. Not really feasible.
I appreciate the alt art on their games. I love the alt art for the PS4 version of the game. I loved Doom enough to double dip on switch, but I don’t think I’ll go for this one. I haven’t finished it because the difficulty seems obnoxiously hard at medium. Kinda ruined the fun in playing because of my frequent deaths
I’ll get this depending on the quality of the port. Be interesting to see how it is as it was a technically more demanding game than Doom.
@Mr_Pepperami Funny you mentioned that. On low settings, Wolfenstein 2 runs better than Doom. Atleast, on my laptop.
@Saego really? That’s interesting. Well that’s good news surely for the port. Thought the job they did on Doom was excellent as well
@Zuljaras
Why don't they ?
Nice of them to offer different art covers. I don’t usually collect them but in this case I will. This may be the first and last time we see Wolfenstein on nintendo. Wondering how it will sell since most people probably picked it up cheap on Black Friday.
I hope it sells well and we seem more of these type of games in the future. Day 1 no question for me and I already have it for PS4. Ive been waiting for this game, great to have on the go.
@Tibob I did not like that they chose to do a half-physical game. Cartridge media game and they chose the cheaper way.
Probably because the first 2 Wolfensteins were better received. So they probably thought "Why put resources in a game we are not confident that will sell well on the switch."
Slap in the face of collectors. And now they advertise those alternative arts? That would be nice if that game was not a physical DRM key.
@Zuljaras
If we want "big" games (as in "file size big") there's only two ways : a separate download or a bigger cartridge.
They must have estimated that they'd sell less copies if the game was about 15$ more expensive, and that people would welcome the conveniency of a free download installing itself as you're already playing the game.
Also I don't really get how this is a big problem on Switch when it was okay on PS4, Xbox and PC.
'Reich here, Reich now'
You know, being German, this pun is pure cringe. I'm sure other languages will agree.
@Tibob The difference is that when you get the PS4, Xbox Wolfenstein you CAN install the game from the disks and play it from the start. Yes you need internet to update it but you have something playable right off the physical media.
With the switch this is not the case. And yes you are right. They are almost sure that the game will not sell well.
@Zuljaras
"And yes you are right. They are almost sure that the game will not sell well." > not what I said.
With LA Noire you could start playing right away, as the download was progressing in the background, and I'm pretty sure it was the same with Doom.
@Tibob Doom is fully playable from the cart. The whole single player experience is ON the cart. No internet needed for the single player.
I wish Nintendo at least made mandatory software data shareable between consoles but NO it is locked per console. So if I download the update of W2 I can't use it on another Switch console.
@GoldenGamer88 Yeah, it's cringeworthy in every language. I know it's a tightrope walk when you're dealing with a game about fighting Nazis, so I'm not holding it against them, but this one didn't work out well.
Capcom could have done this instead of silly cloud game.
@GoldenGamer88 Still stings, eh?
@Iggy-Koopa The fact it is an unfunny pun no matter the nationality? Yes, yes that stings.
@GoldenGamer88 Agreed. One step too far. Even the title alone was already more than cheesy enough...
I've said it before and I'll say it again...
32GB cartridge or bust.
At least issue a limited edition with the full game on cartridge. They will easily sell out if they aren't too keen on a big print run. I wonder if they would allow Limited Run games to publish 32GB versions on their behalf.
@Silly_G I would gladly pay extra for such edition. Even make it like a kickstarter. I pay and they make it after that. They lose nothing. They only gain customer/fan satisfaction.
@Dom the Amazon pre order link still showing 'unavailable' .... trying to help you guys get your cut.... but any word on why/when??
Can't wait to play this on switch. Pre ordered long time ago
@HAMILTONHOWES
I played WOLFENSTEIN 3D on the SNES...
23 GB fits just fine on my 128 GB SD. I only buy NIntendo games on cartridge.
@Whalehome "I loved Doom enough to double dip on switch, but I don’t think I’ll go for this one. I haven’t finished it because the difficulty seems obnoxiously hard at medium. Kinda ruined the fun in playing because of my frequent deaths"
I was right there with you until they released the motion aiming patch. Much more manageable now. That being said, if that's not enough, you can easily notch the difficulty down to easy at any time.
I must be the only one that doesn't care about the box art. I haven't seen any of my switch cases since I took the cartridges out of them. I keep the cartridges in a multi cartridge case and the boxes are put away in case of resale. That said it's a nice thing for them to provide and I can't wait for the game to arrive...
@Reignmaker I hate turning down difficulty. Even if it’s just for a single battle or something. But that’s what I did in my Wolfenstein 2 game on PS4 and just that little dip from Medium to just above easy (it’s not that baby one), it got significantly easier and unchallenging. It’s either too easy on the mode I’m in, or very difficult on medium. I want something in the middle of that
