Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield's Dada Zarude And Shiny Celebi Distribution Is Rolling Out Right Now

I have to redeem my code later today. But this is a nice freebie! A great way to send off SWSH. Criminally underrated games, they gave the best Multi-player competitive experience I have had since competitive online Pokemon was a thing.

Though not without some serious flaws too, the many improvements. Made to breeding, EV training, and other related things are as big for the series as the physical/special split was back in gen 4.

@VoidofLight Stop. Just stop. You don't seem to understand how prices and human labor and inflation works.

I am so sick of the 3DS comparisons. They are so bloody inaccurate.

People should be grateful that most games still cost 60 dollars in the first place. When everything else has risen in cost, shipping, manufacturing, labor, marketing. And most other products have also risen, things like food and fuel.

Re: Teardown Suggests The Switch OLED Dock Is 4K 60fps-Ready And 'Future Proof'

Heavyarms55

@Robokku It's not a conspiracy theory. I personally think it was more likely a wild guess based on incomplete information. But it was also possible that it was deliberately made up just for click bait because companies make their money off of clicks and ad revenue and they wanted something that would draw that attention.

Another less likely possibility is that Bloomberg and Eurogamer were lied to. That their sources lied to them. Seems unlikely to me because I think they'd know better but I concede it's possible.

I'm sure we will, eventually, see a Switch Pro or Switch 2. I think Nintendo would be absolutely insane not to continue the line. But with the Switch OLED coming out soon, I wouldn't expect anything else for, at the VERY LEAST, a full year.

A lot of folks would be very unhappy to buy a Switch OLED only to have Nintendo just drop a Pro model next year.

Re: Rumour: Game Boy And Game Boy Color Games Still Expected For Switch Online

Heavyarms55

There's a good few Game Boy and GBC games I'd like to play again. But I'm more interested in GBA to be honest.

On these I'd honestly mostly want the Pokemon TCG game, the classic Pokemon games, probably a little Tetris too.

But on GBA there's also Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, Golden Sun, Mother, Megaman Battle Network games, and so many more that interest me.

Re: Pre-Order Pokémon Legends: Arceus At Amazon UK To Get A SteelBook And Poké Ball Replica

@GonsHairLine I am not just talking about gyms. I am talking about any goals. What's the point of the game? Good RPGs and JRPGs have a story with a goal. Something you are trying to do, or stop, or defend or protect... etc etc.

Right now this game seems like all we are gonna do is explore and collect. Looks like BOTW with no shrines and no Hyrule Castle. Or like GTA with no story mode.

Re: Feature: Should I Play Story Of Seasons: Pioneers Of Olive Town Now?

If Friends of Mineraltown is held up as the better game on Switch, then I'm not bothering. I'm sorry for those with nostalgia to the original - it was the piles of praise that game got that convinced me to buy the remake - but it's just bland.

I've tried both Mineraltown and My Time in Portia since I fell in love with Stardew Valley and playing them just makes me ask why I'm not playing Stardew instead. It's just SUCH a massively better game.

And the only answer I can find is - I've already put several hundred hours into Stardew and want more still. But nothing else live up to it that I've tried so far...

Re: Atlus Reveals New Details About Persona's 25th Anniversary Celebrations

Heavyarms55

@VoidofLight Why though? Atlus is supposed to be a 3rd party. SMT5 should be on PS4/5, Xbox and PC. And Persona should be on Switch. They're not some small indie studio. A quick Google search suggests they've got hundreds of employees and the backing of Sega. Why do they have all these weird limits?

The only thing I can think of is that they get something in return for only releasing their games on certain platforms. Perhaps Nintendo and Sony give Atlus a larger portion of the profits to release a game only on their systems. But that doesn't make much sense to me. Could they be getting enough more that it warrants limiting their potential audience so much?

Also, this is just a matter of personal taste, but I don't remotely like SMT as much as Persona. The flavor and setting of the Persona series is more appealing to me. I know it's considered a spinoff of SMT and such and I don't actively dislike SMT. I just don't care for it nearly as much.
