Nintendo has shared an updated list of Europe's most-downloaded Switch eShop games, revealing which titles were the most popular during August 2021.
Minecraft continues to sell incredibly well on the platform, moving up into first place this time around. It overtakes last month's number one The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD to get there, also fending off the threat of the similarly popular Among Us.
You can check out the full list below. It's based on the number of Nintendo eShop downloads (so no physical sales) in European territories during the whole month:

I was expecting to see Spelunky 1 or 2 on the list. Thought that game was more anticipated.
I’m still tempted by Slime Rancher. May pick that up soon!
I did get Islanders, which is fun. Got my eye on Slime Rancher for sure, but I want to wait a bit as I feel it will inevitably get a physical edition with LRG or some other boutique.
Microsoft nailed it to buy Mojang Studios. MInecraft is the chicken of the golden. Earning money...money
@reporterdavid It's cheap and simple. I grabbed it, played for a couple hours and lost interest. It's not bad but it gets repetitive fast. And the random nature of the game can get annoying.
@reporterdavid I really enjoyed it on an 11 island run. Very calm and relaxing. Not sure how much I will do further runs but it was less than a fiver so more than worth the money.
@Neckcrane - agreed - how is Spelunky 1/2 not on here? Maybe they cannibalised each other's sales a bit as interested people got one or the other (I picked up the 1st and probs the best game I have played this year as I am new to the series). Still would have thought it would have beaten the undercooked Baldo

Nice list. Ace Attorney should be higher, certainly above Baldo.
Still haven't finished Skyward Sword HD...been busy. So damn close to completion though! Over 65 hours in so I know I got every penny's worth. This week.

@reporterdavid Don't get me wrong, for the cost of a pack of trading cards, it's solid. I just wouldn't expect more than a couple hours of fun.
