Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Switch Online, Game Pass, And 'New' PS Plus - How Do They Compare?

Heavyarms55

Actually logging back in for once because I just have to say, I don't like this industry trend at all. Subscription services are like renting games in the modern day. You own nothing and are at the mercy of the service.

Further, it's been so long since any major AAA game from Sony or Playstation has excited me, it's just sad. I have had more fun with my GameCube than my PS4 in the same time frame.

As a result while I might admit that PS5 and Xbox Stupid Naming System are more powerful machines with more lucrative Subscription services - that matters very little when so little I care about isn't also on Switch or PC.

@Brett Let's joke about some of the worst things happening around the world. It's fine cause it's "just a joke" right?

I don't find it funny to make light of such things. Quite the opposite in fact. You people will laugh and Crack jokes all you want until you're next. When the bad thing happens to you, will you be laughing? Don't bother saying yes, I won't believe you.

Re: There Are "No Plans" For More Stardew Valley Updates, But Its Creator Won't Rule It Out

Heavyarms55

The only thing I would ask for at this point is Steam Workshop mod support. Last I checked that didn't exist. I've put hundreds of hours into this game at this point on Switch and will probably play more.

But if it gets official mod support I could see hundreds turning into thousands.

But the guy who made this game is a master tier game dev. He deserves awards and praise out the door and down the hall!

Re: Saucy Tower Defence Title Duel Princess Marches To Switch Next Month

Sex is a natural part of life that nearly all mammals take part in. But only humans murder. I've never heard of Animals killing their own for petty reasons like people do. Only predators hunting for food.

Going a little more on topic, my issue is the double standard. I'm not anti violence in video games. A lot of the games I enjoy portray it. In clearly fictional settings and scenarios with obviously fictional characters.

They are not real people, they are not in the real world nor are they meant to appear to be. And that's what people need to understand.

Games like GTA and COD and stuff are set to mimic the real world. They might use fictional names but that's it. GTA is clearly set in cities like NYC or LA and COD just blatantly show realistic looking soldiers flying real world flags inspired by possible real world events.

That people get upset over fictional panties but are cool with realistic portrayals of intense violence turned into a game is something I am not capable of understanding or accepting.

Why is it that people are still more bothered by such minor lewd content but barely bat an eyelash towards intense violence in media?

You can literally rape and kill in games like GTA or carry out actual massacres in COD and it hardly turns a head anymore.

In movies you can have full blown war in a PG13 film. But show a nipple or two and suddenly it's X rated.

It's beyond stupid. This society that glorifies violence and throws a tantrum about anime tits is stupid.

Re: Surprise! Dragon Ball FighterZ Is Adding Another DLC Character

Heavyarms55

@Zochmenos I find that budget idea hard to believe. The Dragon Ball series is one of the longest running and most iconic anime ever, regardless of anyone's personal thoughts on the series, it's hard to deny its overwhelming success. The people behind this game are a pretty major development studio now as well, with a game that has, as far as I know, been one of the most successful DB games.

And also, DLC is a money maker.

I just feel like lack of a budget for continued content seems extremely unlikely.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Price?

Heavyarms55

My goodness people are stingy and cheap as hell on this site apparently. Do the math. 50 dollars a year is less than 5 dollars a month. That's nothing. Let's just be real, you can walk around a department store parking lot a couple times a week and you will find 5 dollars a month with ease.

If it's not for you, you don't care about the expansion, just don't get it. But just because it isn't worth if for you doesn't mean it should be cheaper. People are just too darn spoiled from their pirated rom libraries.

Hey, if you've got all the roms downloaded already, why the hell do you even care about a service like this?

Re: So, What Happens When Pokémon GO Runs Out Of New Pokémon?

Heavyarms55

I quite like the game, but they could use some kind of new mechanics.

I would like to see the map updated with more features to interact with. Maybe make some items spawn in the overworked to collect that are different from the normal ones.

They could add in another evil team that works like an AI controlled 4th team. Any gym that doesn't flip teams in 48 hours would be taken by that 4th team and you could get different rewards for taking them down.

There's still plenty they could do.

Re: Pokémon-Inspired Monster Crown Is Out Today On Switch, Here's The Launch Trailer

Heavyarms55

@Meteoroid It's a maybe for me for a few reasons, 1 it's a totally new IP, and any game that I have never played an entry in that series or even another title from that developer fits the "maybe" bill for me.

And the fact is that I am working full time and it's a rather tiring job. So my time to game is much much more limited. Even though in terms of hours it's not much more than my previous job it is MUCH more tiring and stressful.

Because of that, I have to pick and choose what I want to use my time on much more.

This game is probably worth a shot, if you have the time to risk investing in it. I just would rather go with something I am much more confident that I will enjoy in my free time.
