How about ports of Fallout 3 and talk Obsidian into giving us New Vegas?

Otherwise I am good. Always liked those better than Elder Scrolls or Doom.

Sales are nice though.

I'd like to jump back into Minecraft at some point. There's been so many updates since I played Vanilla for any amount of time that I think it would be worth it.

But I'd need a group of people to play with who are interested in actually playing for a while. I have no interest in this game in single player anymore. And I wouldn't want to start a world with a group who only plays for a couple days then drops it.

I know that's kind of picky. But I plays so much of this game in single player back in the day that I just have no interest in single player MC anymore.

I used to spend so much time in game and retro game stores while I lived in Japan. Between Akihabara in Tokyo and Nipponbashi in Osaka I was basically in heaven. So much fun to be had and so easy to burn a paycheck or 5. XD

I am curious how this is gonna work. I don't see how to turn Pikmin into PoGo. But maybe I will be surprised.

Though I won't be giving them 2+ years of updates to make the game playable. Hopefully they learned from their past.

@CactusMan Perhaps. Nintendo is relatively small when compared to monsters like MS and Sony. And they are less willing to contract out the work too. Or so it seems.

MK9 isn't a myth. We're just not gonna see it until Nintendo's next machine. There's absolutely no reason for them to release a MK9 on Switch. Yes some of us played it on Wii U first, but let's face it, we're a rare breed.

Now what I find strange is that they haven't capitalized on that enormous install base with a new DLC expansion.

@BloodNinja I don't see it. Perhaps my eyes just aren't good enough, nor have ever been good enough to recognize what I must be missing.

I just feel like you get these absurd gaming PCs that cost more than my first car did and I see them running games and it doesn't look all that much better.

Looking forward to the Analogue Pocket and hoping they make an N64 version sometime too.

Just don't have the same level of nostalgia for NES SNES and Mega Drive.

Why do so many people want to spend so much money on gaming? I don't get it. To me, it's called "diminishing returns".

@JazzyBeat I don't remotely agree with your assessment of the OLED nor do I have a favorable opinion of the massively expensive Steamdeck. However I do agree that competition is a good thing.

@PhhhCough I'm right there with you. I used to watch it after school almost daily.

But either I grew away from the show or the show grew away from me. I just don't like the way the show shifted to heavily toward Goku being the only character who ever really matters in the end. I didn't like how every new arc after Freiza had to introduce a new power beyond Super Sayian. And I really don't like how the show has made a habit of introducing new powers and scales and rules with the sole intention of introducing them only to break them.

Despite that, I have many fond memories of watching the show, which I really enjoyed at least up through the Cell Saga. I loved the idea of Gohan surpassing his father and becoming the new hero. Which is why I really lost interest when after all that build up from the start of DBZ all the way to Gohan beating Cell, was thrown away in the very next story arc...

I know I'm only complaining here. But I really did enjoy the show as a kid. I guess I simply grew out of it.

I find it funny that the game they seem to always show in this side by side videos comparing these two devices is Stardew Valley, a game that pushes neither device very much at all.

The Steam deck is welcome competition, but it's much higher price point, bulkier size and ugly button layout are all turn offs to me.

It also lacks many of my favorite series, outside of emulation and almost certainly pirated roms.

There's a LOT of good options there. But most of what I would want, I have. lol

Chunky. Honestly the Switch is already at the upper end of what I find comfortable for longer play sessions, this thing looks way bulkier and heavier.

@Mgalens It's just the general thing with this community. There's always some outrage. Something to be angry at. If it weren't this, it would be something else and people would rage at that. This is a community that went ballistic online because of lousy tree textures. There's just always something.

I said when this launched that it should have been $150, not $200. And I stand by that. I actively discourage people from buying the Lite unless they are absolutely, 100% certain they will never want to play on a TV. 100 dollars less is not enough of a discount to justify that loss of functionality.

That's just my opinion though. 🤷

And yet people will use this list to justify the myth that 3rd parties don't sell on Switch.

It's not that they don't. But it should be a given that games which are only on one platform will generally sell better on that platform than games available on almost or all major platforms.

@Strictlystyles Just FYI, Niantic has banned people for that. Not trying to tell you what to do, but just in case you hadn't heard before.

Honestly as a daily player, this doesn't actually bother me much. Just strikes me as very unneeded. They didn't increase them that much to begin with.

But this is Pokemon, a community that's always looking for the next thing to be "outraged" about. Be it tree textures or Pokestop spin distance. 🤔

@RupeeClock I have 2 ideas behind that:

1. Niantic devs didn't like SMUSUM

2. Niantic devs play VGC and are sick of Inceneroar and want to keep it out of the game as long as possible. Lol

Honestly surprised this hasn't happened yet. It would be an easy sell. I bet they'd wouldn't even have to build a new game. They could probably just reskin and update they original game.

B: a NSO subscription game.

@KingMike I don't hate them or anything but it's just not my taste. I occasionally can watch them and get a good laugh. It's just that I often get put off by some of their choices.

I just want a big enough update to give me reason to play more of this game. There's plenty of things that they could do.

And I absolutely would buy a big dlc for this game.

Not lively to bother with this one. It's a little rare but nothing all that special.

Now some ability patches would be nice. Since those take so bloody long to grind for.

@Natsura Yeah but you can also order online from places like Target and Best Buy and such too.

But I do agree that I could see them remaining online.

I use Amazon a lot and think they're a very useful service. The issue is their lack of competition. The only thing driving them to improve working conditions is the bad publicity.

But if there was a strong rival with better conditions... well you can see where I'm going with this.

The problem I have with these kind of shows, The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, American Dad and the like is that, while they can be funny and they can have good satire...

They're so often just jammed full of vulgar for the sake of vulgarity humor. And cruel just for the sake of being cruel humor.

The whole "Let's laugh at how irredeemably stupid this guy is, or let's laugh at how utterly miserable this guy is" humor that is so popular here in the west is just not appealing to me.

Seems like what will probably cost a lot of money for little to no real benefit. I mean, they're gonna have to redo the signs for all their stores, probably issue new uniform shirts or at least nametags to employees, and alter all of their marketing materials too.

All to try and keep a sinking ship afloat? Sorry folks, brick and mortal stores like this are on their way out. They don't offer the consumer any real benefit over ordering online.

Tell me why I should get in my car, drive into town, go into a physical store and buy a new game at 60 dollars, when I can order the exact same game and have it mailed to my door at no extra charge?

It's unfortunate for the employees. I understand that. But there's no helping that. There's no changing this tide. Unless brick and mortal stores can come up with something that is actually better than online retailers, it's a sinking ship. It's just a matter of how long until it finally goes under.

I don't expect there to be much of anything besides restaurants and grocery stores in the future. And a handful of very specific stores that deal in goods or services that cannot be reasonably shipped. Like fresh food, hair salons, and the like.

I want to know what the Pokedex is gonna look like still. Hopefully it's at least the Platinum dex. But some additional mons from later gens mixed in would be nice.

If it's the original DP dex that's gonna stink because it was so imbalanced...

@PokemaniacJOK Possibly. But P-Z usually isn't the type of mon to have a highly specific ev set. It's the kind of mon used for its raw power. Adaptability boosted max strike from Hyper Beam is one of the most powerful attacks in the whole game.

Meh. Need more of a real update it get back into the game.

What's a store? Are those those places where people go to buy things? Instead of online? People still use those?

And I agree. The accessibility of competitive in gen 8 is fantastic! Especially when they added that battle ready mark for Pokemon previously obtained! I used to refuse to play VGC because I didn't want to recreate all my Pokemon each gen. Now I can use Pokemon obtained in GBA cartridges in VGC on Switch!

Then factor in the ev reset guy and unlimited vitamins and hyper training and the ability patch!

Now we just need a rusty bottle cap for 0IV speed and a reverse ability patch to get rid of HA.

@Quarth I don't think it was THAT much. But it and Dratini were super pricey. That much I remember.

Why end it? It's a puzzle game. Couldn't they just release a final update to allow an offline mode?

This is a big reason why I don't like mobile gaming.

@Quarth Any breed able Pokemon is honestly super easy to get if you don't mind asking someone to spare 10 minutes tops and don't mind trading.

But meh because there's nothing really specific or special about this one.

Making a normal competitive mon on SWSH is super easy. One of the things they got right in the game.

I guess the closest thing I can say is the beginning of Kanto in Pokemon RBY and FRLG and LGPE. As a little kid, before I owned the game myself, I used to "borrow" my friend's Game Boy and start a new game over and over, and just never save - back then you could do that without deleting the old save file. Then add to all the times I've replayed those games over the years...

It looks as deliberately uncomfortable as I imagine they fully intended it to be.
