Re: Talking Point: The New Nintendo 3DS Could Be a Huge Success, But Its Route to Release Has Been Rocky

HFish12

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Do you see how many people are anticipating the smaller screen model? It's the EXACT opposite of smartphones nowadays. It's refreshing to see that there's still business for smaller screens. Of course Nintendo doesn't know that.

Still, if you're complaining about not having the standard model in the U.S, just be quiet about it and go rage somewhere else. I'm sure you can bear with whatever 3DS model you already own.

Re: Poll: Which New Nintendo 3DS Will You be Buying?

HFish12

I currently own only one 3DS model, the cosmo black original Nintendo 3DS. For a while I was considering the XL, but I wasn't willing to fork over $200 for a bigger screen.

Fortunately, Nintendo has stepped up their game with their new portable handhelds. With more power, a bigger screen, face-recognition 3D and more, the New Nintendo 3DS XL is the more sensible option for me. However, will I ever use it much? Will my Wii U automatically single out my 3DS? And what exclusive titles are coming for the new hardware? I can't make up my mind.

Oh, and I'd probably get the Majora's Mask edition.

Re: Video: Does Super Mario Galaxy 2 On Wii U Offer Anything New?

HFish12

Nothing new here, except having the manual and load screen is an upgrade. Personally, I'm not going to transfer my Wii data to my Wii U because the games look better in standard-definition. Just my opinion.

However, it's about time we can download digital games, and a bit of a relief since you couldn't do that with retail games on the Wii. It's nice to see rare titles here like Metroid Prime Trilogy for such a low price.

Re: Satoru Iwata Highlights Frustration at Missed Wii U Features and Aims to Improve for Next-Gen Hardware

HFish12

I'm not sure if Nintendo could revive the impact of the Wii, bringing innovation that turns into profits. Here's three things Nintendo might want to consider for the future...

1. New Portable Handheld
Nintendo has had plenty of success with the 3DS models, and they can keep the profit coming by making a new system.

2. Traditional Nintendo Console
Of course Nintendo could design a new console, and underpowered, low-cost gaming system with innovative controls.

3. Next-Gen Console
A risky decision, but Nintendo could make a faster, more powerful console that could compete with the Xbox and Playstation's processing power. A traditional controller, something more like the Wii U Pro Controller. If Nintendo kept their first-party games coming and freeing up more space for third-party developers, Nintendo could get back into the game for real.

Re: Feature: The Biggest Wii U Games of 2015

Absolutely no contest here, Zelda Wii U is going to be the most anticipated Nintendo game of the year. However, Xenoblade Chronicles X seems like a worthy choice for any Nintendo gamer. Definitely have to check that one out when more details are released.

Re: Talking Point: Five New Year's Resolutions for Nintendo

Keep the games coming and Nintendo should not only get good sales, but also keep their customer satisfaction.

One thing I strongly believe that steers consumers away from the Wii U is the image. Stated in this article, Nintendo needs to promote online more. People just don't understand the Wii U, and as a result of that the sales are limited.

I happen to marvel at my Wii U, and I'm sure most of the owners of Nintendo's console feel the same way. Work on that image, Nintendo, and you should do well entering 2015.

Re: Poll: Which is the Best Mario Kart Game?

HFish12

So many great games to choose from...I gotta go with Mario Kart 8. Best soundtrack, beautifully designed courses, and it's HD.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if Mario Kart 7 stole the show (unfortunately that would've had to happen a while ago). I've blown dozens of hours into that game, and overall it's just fun to play.

Thanks for these polls, Nintendolife. It's great to hear eveyone's opinions and stories in the comments.

Re: Poll: Which is the Best Super Smash Bros. Game?

HFish12

Since I got a Wii U for Christmas, I went out and purchased Smash Wii U. I haven't played it enough to make a full decision, but so far it's fun, stunning, and brilliant. Although the bright colors tend to strain my eyes.

Then which Smash stole my heart? Brawl. So many fond memories make this game the best in the franchise for me.

@Nintendo_Ninja
"Hardly anything new from the original B/W"

Aren't all Pokemon games alike? And there are more changes in this game than the others. Pokemon from all regions gather in Unova for the first time, White Treehollow/Black Tower, key exchange, new locations, Pokestar Studios, and plenty more. And I'm not even mentioning any you did.

Point proven.

Re: Poll: Which is the Best Pokémon Game?

Platinum being the runner-up, I couldn't help but give the vote to B2/W2. I've devoted so many hours into this game, all the while getting my Mon' to level 100 in White Treehollow. In the end, content rules all.
