Re: Preview: Getting Lost in the World of Xenoblade Chronicles X

GloverMist

Am I the only person that thinks this sounds like a bit... much? Surely there's a point where the level of depth, and amount of menus and customisation, get far too much for it to actually be enjoyable? To me, it seems like X may be bordering that line. Don't get me wrong, I adored the original Xenoblade and I'll surely pick this up, but even in the original the amount of... stuff, that you could deal with and tweak got overpowering and slightly unenjoyable, and this game looks set to amplify that. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic?

Re: Video: Toadette Takes to the Court in Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash as Yo-Kai Watch Focuses on Weirdness

GloverMist

I still honestly can't believe the sheer lack of content in Mario Tennis right now. They'd better have some good free updates planned. As for Yo-Kai Watch... come on, they made 'Blazion'? That's not even trying to differentiate itself from Pokémon! (Don't worry, Blaziken, you're still my fave!) I may pick up the game one day from curiosity, but certainly not at full price. I'll go in with low expectations, that's for sure.

Re: Review: Toto Temple Deluxe (Wii U eShop)

GloverMist

Clearly, love isn't always on time. Either way, the game sounds like a jolly good time... If I had people to play it with! Is it me, or does this seem a bit similar to other recent eShop party games? Is that just me?

Re: Hoopa Pokémon Distribution Details for X & Y and ORAS Begin to Emerge

GloverMist

I still struggle to see why Game Freak thinks these code distributions are a good idea. All it serves is to screw over a large percentage of fans who don't have easy access to a GAME or GameStop and could easily download it online, myself included. Guess it's another rarity I'll miss out on. Not that I fully mind - I'll whisper it, but I think Hoopa is a little bit silly...

Re: GAME Processes Additional Charges on Super Mario Maker Pre-Orders

GloverMist

Jeez, I'm not pre-ordering anything from GAME. All I've ever got from them is two amiibo, but seeing how they purposefully priced them up, on top of all the many pre-order problems people have experienced (luckily not me, for now), I dare not order from them again. What an absolute joke. The Nintendo scene in the UK couldn't look much worse at the moment.

Re: Mario History: New Super Mario Bros. - 2006

GloverMist

I absolutely adore New Super Mario Bros., and it was actually the first Mario game (and the first DS game) I ever played! What a way to get into the series, huh?

The only thing I never understood about the original NSMB is what exactly Mario says when clearing a level. Is it actually Italian? Or just English that I don't understand? A question that's haunted me through the ages...

Re: Mario History: Super Mario Sunshine - 2002

GloverMist

I might be kicked out of the internet for good for saying this, but I honestly didn't enjoy Sunshine all that much. I feel like there was an awesome game trying to peek through, but it never properly got there with all the problems the gane had, with its awful camera and (in my opinion) seriously clunky physics. It just didn't feel like something worthy of all the praise it got, even with its great visulas for the time.

Re: Shovel Knight amiibo Confirms "Evolving" Relationship With Indies, Says Nintendo

GloverMist

Ah, so glad to hear this has been confirmed! I guess I'll be preordering the amiibo (and presumably buying the Wii U version, even though I already have it on PC!), even if it is a tad annoying about co-op only being accessed this way. Oh well, it never really was a game built for co-op, and the other amiibo unlocks sound awesome.

Plus, kudos to them for using the Game Grumps to advertise it! To anyone wondering, they make a thing of intentionally making their adverts poorly acted and cringeworthy, it's just their style. Regardless, hyped!

Re: GAME Confirms Shovel Knight amiibo

GloverMist

Absolutely yes please. I'll be sure to pre-order this one, as my love with Shovel Knight has been rekindled with the upcoming DLC! I'm still praying that he makes it into Smash, but I guess it's less likely now...

Re: Minecraft: Story Mode is Heading to Wii U

GloverMist

Now, I hate Minecraft with a passion. I hate its art style, its gameplay and its fanbase. (The worse parts of it, obviously, there are always good sides to fanbases!) This game probably won't change my views on that, but I will say that the narrative thing sounds like a very good idea for the world of Minecraft, and will probably work quite well. I certainly find it preferable to the sandbox stuff. And it may draw some people to the Wii U, so who knows? Maybe it will do some good.

Re: Rumour: Fresh Sources Suggest Shovel Knight Is Indeed Digging His Way To Super Smash Bros.

GloverMist

I would adore seeing Shovel Knight in Smash, and I would love to see the stars align in the right way so he can be announced soon, but it's a shame the amiibo leak is fake, at least. The design used for him there is the fan render made by Artsy Omni as part of his Smashified series, and I'd highly doubt that Sakurai and co. would use that as the official art! I remain ever hopeful, though.

Re: PewDiePie Fans May Recognise "Coolest Puzzle Game Ever" Dreii, Which Is Coming To Wii U Soon

GloverMist

Well, this game looks... alright, I suppose. The cross-platform multiplayer certainly is interesting, though. If it can happen here, surely it can happen more often, right?

And now, I must join in with the surprisingly large group of people that doesn't like PewDiePie. His stuff just isn't for me, and I can't honestly understand why he is as popular as he is. I'm glad Chuggaaconroy was mentioned here, as he's the perfect example of someone who deserves all the attention he gets.

Re: Awesome New Nendoroids are Unveiled at Wonder Festival 2015

GloverMist

@AVahne Do you own any amiibo? While these figures are obviously better quality, that's because they are presumably gonna be less mass-produced. Anyway, quite a few amiibo are very high quality - ones such as Link and Zelda are insanely detailed! So actually, they're not as bad as you'd think!

Re: Doctor Who Confirmed For Lego Dimensions On Wii U

GloverMist

Hmm, pretty nice! I've always wanted a Lego Doctor Who, and while that Doctor minifigure looks... awful, it certainly does make me excited! Shame I won't be buying Lego Dimensions, though. As cool as the concept is, I'll never fall for the "buy more stuff to get more game" sham that Skylanders and Disney Infinity has done.
