Call me a disgrace to fans everywhere if you will, but this was the first Fire Emblem I picked up, and finally helped me to understand its gameplay and (almost) appreciate its characters. I'm sure there are a lot of less vocal people with similar experiences to me, so I'm thankful for it for that. And it's still lots of fun, I check in every day!

Don't know about you guys, but I am a massive fan of the folks from the Treehouse and, by extension, this podcast. It's great to see Nintendo people be so genuine in discussion. I'm enjoying this a lot!

As the only editor that’s been here for the time I’ve been on the site, it will be really sad to see you go. As the guy who’s helped make Nintendo Life so enjoyable and effortlessly readable, it will be great to see how well you inevitably do in the future.

Now this is what I like to hear! Here's hoping it comes to England, but surely they'd be mad not to? Either way, as an alternate retelling, this looks like a lot of fun, and I'm excited for it!

A bit of a disappointment, sure, but it's at least reassuring to know that Niantic are working on improving their infrastructure. I'll carry on viewing the whole app in a good light, even if they should have been better prepared for Chicago.

@faint Yes, I couldn't tell if it meant "you can also unlock this by beating the game" or "you have to beat the game and buy the amiibo to unlock it". I'm sure it's a little blurred in translation!

Like other people, I'm also hoping that things like the sound test and hard mode can be unlocked in the game itself. While I would like to get the amiibo, they are still a lot of extra money, which makes it kind of unfair otherwise. Well, we'll see!

@RupeeClock Very true, I'll have to shop around. I'll have to see if I can find a Go Plus for cheap, but I strongly doubt that will happen!

I got a new phone yesterday, which means I can finally play the game properly for the first time! What good timing - I need to get a Go Plus myself now!

@antonvaltaz Hey, I'm glad to be of some use! I was just looking it up, and the recent 'Lycanroc & Alolan Raichu Trainer Kit' includes two 30-card half decks, a play mat, and a how to play guide, for two players to play. Perhaps that might do the trick?

@antonvaltaz Yeah, absolutely! Any place is a good place to start with the TCG, as it doesn't particularly matter what cards you start with, especially if you're just collecting. The full 60-card deck boxes are the perfect starting point, as they contain a full set deck, accessories, and rules! (At least, last time I checked.) Expensive, yes, but a good starting point!

I made a lot of good friends through using Miiverse back in the day, so it's sad to hear about it being dropped. That said, I completely understand their thinking. It'll be so much easier to get the word out by using existing social networks! Let's hope for a commercial success this time...

@jimi I think I get what Nintendo Life is getting at. To me, it seems like they are demonstrating how these pirates think they have an excuse to steal the games, while others just do it with no mercy at all. Either way, it's not an exusable thing for people to do, and Nintendo's right to clamp down on it, I'm sure we can ALL agree on that. Otherwise, it may just be an undortunate turn of phrase with no harm intended that we shouldn't be reading so much into. Let's all chill on the matter! We know what's right and what's wrong, and I trust Nintendo Life 100% on that.

@jimi I can't say I understand your argument. I've been a long-time reader of Nintendo Life, and as far as I'm aware, their policy on moral grey areas hasn't changed. If something's big enough or news-worthy enough, like certain emulators can be, it's reported on, but in no way endorsed or linked to. That's no different here. I'm sure you can see apostrophes were used around "try it out" to show that it's no excuse for piracy, and the whole article takes a negative view, like it should do. I, personally, don't see any hypocrisy here...

@alasdair91 Unfortunately, it's an item that does absolutely nothing, and only exists to be sold, at $100 each. Not that great of a reward, but at least you get a solid $1000 out of the ten you get!

I don't really see the point in this. If you can't achieve most of the game's functions, why release it? I know it's health-oriented, to an extent, but surely the many many health apps that Apple touted for the Watch can do the same thing?

Jus goes to show, really. A franchise's performance in one country in no way guarantees its peeformance anywhere else. And nothing can top Pokémon! Still, let's hope it picks up a bit in the future.
