I was lucky enough, when searching for a New 3DS XL to replace my dying OG 3DS, to stumble upon a Solgaleo and Lunala design that I forgot existed, and for a cheap-ish price! Lapped it up, it's a thing of beauty. Seems they left it off Bulbapedia's list as it had a worldwide release! For shame!
Finally got this game and its DLC for 75% off in the sale a few months ago and absolutely loved it! Way surpassed my expectations as a newbie to tactics games and now I can’t wait for Sparks of Hope!
Thanks for posting the wiki link, guys! I'm an admin on the site and I can't wait to see what September will bring! Loving the steady drips of new info
My 2017 Switch has a slight hairline crack in its glass screen protector (thankfully not the actual screen) and I had to send my Joy-Cons in to Nintendo for drift two years ago, but aside from that, it's been as perfect as the day I got it! Still use it almost every day and haven't needed to upgrade yet! (Though I would like an OLED one, thanks.) What a wonderful little machine.
Absolutely obsessed over this game when I was 14! Very easy but endlessly fun and surprisingly replayable. It sure did play it safe, but it was a great time even so!
Astonishingly good system, released at the perfect point of my life with so many amazing memories! Will continue to play my 2011 console for years to come!
I got this yesterday, had no choice but to pay for my game to arrive on Tuesday. Admittedly, their shippers said “we are not responsible for any local duties, VAT, or taxes”, but still. Glad to have supported the Kickstarter, but this really doesn’t help.
From what I'm aware of, the vast majority of the Pokémon seen in this trailer were confirmed anyway, so I think they just played it really smart. Fantastic-looking stuff, anyway.
Even if it didn't have great support and the marketing was pants, I still believe that it had a fantastic set of first-party games. I still love my Wii U, even with my Switch around!
I think I may be one of the only people to ever experience no discomfort of any kind when playing this game. It’s probably in my all-time top ten games, so it’s a shame that Sakurai has no plans, but maybe someone else one day? We can always hope!
Happy 13th, Nintendo Life! Let the grumpy teenage years begin! Nah, in all seriousness, it's fantastic to see the site still going from strength to strength. Long may it last!
I received Xenoblade 2 a week ago and even though I've barely scratched the surface, I'm loving it so far! It's exceeded my expectations too! I'm looking forward to more greatness in the future.
@KingMike The step forwards will be when the big new games come out on Switch late next year, they stated that. Again, this was specifically intended to simplify matters for newcomers, not be a new one for pro battlers. Let’s be honest, it’s hardly a major important deal, really.
Come on, now, is everyone gonna be so negative about this? We've gotta remember that the Gen. I that some people love didn't have Abilities or held items either. Besides, these weren't designed to be competitive battling games. Let's Go isn't going to be used for official events, Ultra Sun/Moon will. So for a casual game intended at a causal audience, this makes perfect sense.
@Mrtoad Because it's the UK, and sadly, most people over here wouldn't know what a popular video game is if it hit them. Well, ones that aren't Fifa and Call of Duty, at least!
The skin colouration of the character and the talk of 'infection' perhaps explains why all the enemies we've seen in trailers are that strange green-blue colour... Interesting stuff!
I guess it's highly likely that these three will just be unlockable characters? They've already confirmed that there will be unlockables, and the ones we've seen are all defaults.
OK, can we all not moan about how this isn't on Switch or isn't exactly how you wanted to be, or something? The smaller Japanese version of the game was started in 2013 and released in 2016, of course they're gonna keep it on 3DS for its final release. Maybe work on upscaling it in the future, but give them chance to release it as they intended.
I, for one, am happy to see my beloved 3DS get even more support, but I am very biased towards it! (But I love my Switch too!)
@roy130390 Thanks for the kind words about all that! One of the main things that put me off about the series even now is the massive divide in fans between the original game fans who can be somewhat elitist about being there first, and newer fans that may only appreciate the more anime style of Awakening/Fates. It's a shame that there's such a divide, as it's all the same series and everyone should be allowed to like what they want, but what can ya do?
I would like to try out one of the 3DS titles one day, though, and see how more complex the gameplay gets. Thanks for the advice!
