Re: Feature: Best Game Boy Advance (GBA) Games

Gerald

I still have my GBA SP, and, dare I say it, it’s a wonderful ‘Port’ machine.

Doom and Final Fight are fantastic ports (a lot better than the SNES versions.

Other than the games listed, my favourites are:
GTA (I guess comparable to PS1, plays very well)
Speedball 2 (is a perfect port from the Amiga, including Sound...”Ice Cream, Ice Cream”)
Desert Strike (plays just as well as the MD did. Fantastic game)

Re: Feature: Zelda: Majora's Mask Is A Testament To What Nintendo Is Capable Of When It Gets Weird

Gerald

I didn’t actually play this game until 2003. When this had come out on the N64, I had moved on to the Dreamcast.
I eventually played on a Game Cube collection disc.
I never completed the game. I loved the Side Quests, but the part I didn’t like was having to do all 4 bosses in time span (when I say didn’t like, what I really mean is a found in too difficult).
I have it on the 3DS, but still have completed it on that either.
What i love about this game is it feels like a Dream in the world of Ocarina of Time, where people you know from the real world, have an alternative life, and different jobs.
We’ve all had those types of dreams......haven’t we....?....haven’t we?......<gets coat>

Re: Talking Point: What We're Hoping To See In Today's Nintendo Direct

Gerald

If there’s going to be a new Mario reveal, I really hope it uses ideas from Bowsers Fury. Really enjoying this game.

As sad as it may be, I’m actually hoping for more ports. Of course I will always have interest in new games, but I still want to see Dreamcast / Saturn games as originally hinted at with the Ages Line, along with their greatest Arcade games.

Would like Arcade Archives to confirm more eighties/nineties games from Taito/Midway/Atari, with some Amiga classics thrown in.

More Gamecube / Wii U ports are also very much welcome (even though I still have these consoles, for me, Switch is the ‘Console of Convenience’

Anything Zelda related would also be good
