Not sure why people think there is going to be a Switch Pro. Even if there is, no developer will ignore the Standard Switch install base. How many specific games did the New 3DS get?
Thanks for the responses @Septiclemon @Gamer_Griff @Slowdive Have been looking forward to this (loved Turrican 2 on the Amiga). Have gone all digital this gen. so waiting for the eShop release
I remember having a demo on the Amiga of BTTF2. It was of the Hover Board Level. Never actually bought the game, but loved playing that Hover Board Level
@Woodyshoe you’re welcome. It’s been a long time since I played sensible, but definitely has that vibe about it. Although I struggled to score in this demo, I don’t recall that being a problem on Sensible, could just be me
I tried the 16-Bit Soccer Demo last night. It plays very much (or at least how I remember) like Sensible Soccer. Except it plays left to right, not Up/down.
To change the mood a little I've been posing down the pub On seeing my reflection, I'm looking slightly rough I fancy this, I fancy that, I wanna be so flash I give a little muscle and I spend a little cash But all I get is bitter and a nasty little rash And by the time I'm sober I've forgotten what I've had And everybody tells me that it's cool to be a cat Cool for cats
@AndyC_MK84 I agree, but they are still playable, I had many hours playing Daytona and Sega Rally on the Saturn with a standard D Pad, so I would have to issue with a pro controller or Joy Cons. For the light gun games Motion Control with Joy-cons would work just fine
In no particular order, would love for these Arcade games to get a release on Switch. But Sega have fecked that up good and proper. But I am hoping Arcade Archives keep going.....
Sega Rally
Daytona
Virtua Fighter 1&2
Virtua Cop 1&2
Rainbow Islands
The New Zealand Story
Star Wars (Atari)
X Men Children of the Atom
Chase HQ / SCI
Ivan Stewart’s Off Road
Operation Wolf / Thunderbolt
Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters
Cabal
Choplifter
Golden Axe
Gauntlet
Defender
Ferrari F355
Pang
Paperboy
It’s a shame Sega decided to stop Ages. With the continuing increase of install base, ‘Surely’ they would sell if the picked the right titles ? Or release some collections (Golden Axe collection, or AM2 collection, or something like that) Folders or any way of organising games would be nice.
@idork99 not played Kung Fu Master on the Arcade, but played that lots on the Amstrad. It was not a compilation ‘They Sold a Million 3’ Would most definitely purchase that if it became available
Hopefully, 2021 will bring some more Taito classics (Rainbow Islands, New Zealand Story, Operation Wolf, Chase HQ, SCI.....), and also Arcade Archives get access to Midway’s Catalogue (Ivan Stewart’s Off-road, Rampage, APB, Paperboy, Defender, Gauntlet ................)
@GrailUK indeed. I recently purchased a C64 Mini from Amazon for £40. I never had a C64 growing up (was part of the 8 Bit Master Race - Amstrad CPC 😜) But some of these C64 games are similar - Currently playing through Spindizzy
I actually turned my Wii U on for the 1st time in over a year this morning. I forgot how many VC games I have, along with the Wii VC on SD card. I had a blast this morning playing IK+ on the C64
Just picked up Horrace, and Gods (from the Amiga). Am tempted by North & South but being a big fan of the Amiga version, this version looks to have lost that charm that made the original so good. Also tempted by Pang, but not a fan new look
@Sega: Stop talking, go away, and don’t come back until you have a new ‘Ages’ release schedule for the Switch. Also, put some more games on the Mini Game Gears
@Liam_Doolan not related to this article, but according to Wikipedia, Arcade Archives have announced loads of new Titles coming soon. Some real gems from Taito here including Arkanoid, Operation Wolf / Thunderbolt, Rainbow Islands, The New Zealand Story. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arcade_Archives
Edit; Sorry everyone, looks like someone was havin’ a laugh. All the games that were added have been removed. Should have known it was too good to be true. Bast##ds
I was hoping so much for more Ages. It is a big disappointment that they have stopped.
They did a people survey, and totally ignored it. Why not let Arcade Archives take on the Coin-Ops
Would have loved Daytona, Sega Rally, Virtua Fighter, Virtua Cop, Manx TT, Ferrari F355, Super Monaco GP, Golden Axe, Afterburner, Super Hang On, Power Drift, Turbo Outrun, Galaxy Force, Rad Mobil, Shenmue, Chu Chu Rocket, Crazy Taxi...........I could go on forever
@Olddantrucker not sure if you dissing or not. Don’t get me wrong. I am ok with this game, and will still buy it, it just left me wanting more breath of the wild
I played the Demo, and although I love the breath of the wild aesthetics and very interest in the story, I found it very annoying not being able to climb walls etc.
I know this not breath of the wild, but I found myself wanting it to play like breath of the wild
What I would like is DLC for breath of the wild that has this story and World (from 100 years earlier)

Re: Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury Frame Rate And Resolution Detailed
@BlubberWhale “I don’t want to be dead by the time 60fps is fully standardized (again... used to be pretty standard on NES and SNES).”
I think you are confusing 60fps with 60Hz
Re: Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury Frame Rate And Resolution Detailed
@gaga64 7 titles.....Thats actually a lot more than I thought

Re: M2 Has Updated Six Sega Ages Titles For Nintendo Switch
Add me to the ‘disappointed with Sega’ list.
I had such high hopes for the Ages line.
Edit. But congratulations to M2 for making these updates and good job on the games that were released
Re: Review: Turrican Flashback - An Annoyingly Incomplete Collection That's Still Worth A Look
@Rambler some classics there. Would give anything to have those games on Switch in their original form
Re: Nintendo Download: 28th January (Europe)
Why is Turrican not listed?

Re: Star Wars Video Games Join Forces Under Lucasfilm Games
I just see that EA is losing the Starwars licence, I hope that is true. This gives hope for some more retro releases
Re: Nintendo Download: 14th January (Europe)
@Woodyshoe yeah i guess you’re right, it’s been a long time since I played Sensible (probably over 20 years)

@joey302 there certainly is a long list of Midway / Atari games that would be excellent for Arcade Archives
Re: Hamster's Final Arcade Archives Switch Release For 2020 Is Shanghai III
@Fandabidozi that would be good, also make use of HD Rumble. The arcade had excellent Rumble feedback
Re: Nintendo Download: 31st December (North America)
To anyone who is a fan of the old 8-bit Dizzy games. FUZE has Fast Food Dizzy as one of the games

Shouldn’t the Turrican Collection be out this week?
Re: Feature: What Does Nintendo Have Planned For Zelda’s 35th Anniversary?
As a bonus, I would like them to release the 8-bit Breath of the Wild.
The back catalogue is a no brainer
Also what about the original Wii U demo? Looked like Gohma in the Temple of time
Re: Nintendo Consoles Are Aimed At "Kids And Teens" Says Sega's Toshihiro Nagoshi

Re: Don Your Green Beret, Konami's Rush'n Attack Hits The Switch Today
Currently again, Wiki is showing over100 games for Arcade Archives coming soon
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arcade_Archives
This was also shown 2 days ago, but someone keeps deleting them, then they get added again
Arkanoid, Rainbow Islands, The New Zealand Story, Op Wolf / Thunderbolt, Jailbreak, are on the list
Edit. And again they have been removed
Re: Don Your Green Beret, Konami's Rush'n Attack Hits The Switch Today
I always get this mixed up with Midnight Resistance. Used to play this on the Amstrad CPC - better that the Speccy and C64 😜
Re: Nintendo Download: 26th November (Europe)
Need for Speed has a 25% discount. That’s a nice kick in the goolies for anyone a purchased over the last few weeks

@NotoriousWhiz haha, not what I meant. Nothing against COD, but it’s hardly a Sport. Or maybe it is, do they have home & away kits ?

Esports Game of the Year; COD.....
WTF ?
