Re: Review: 'The Art Of The Box' Celebrates A Time When Cover Art Could Sell A Game

Gerald

I think box art was more relevant in the 80’s when it was difficult to see a game running or trying before buying.

I do love that some box arts were clearly ripped from Movies of the time. Gryzor and Predator is one I always remember.

Also at school, when we used to make covers for our school books, I always used computer game or movie posters

I probably will buy this, but I want play without any guides.

Not sure how many hours I have played, but been playing it everyday since May 13th.

I have 118 Shrines, 70 Light Thingies, have maximised weapon / bow slots, just 3 more shield slots to get.
Upgraded most outfits, but 500 for the last upgrade is a real road block on that.
I have only done 3 Temples, but foolishly did all of the Dragon Tears before starting the Temples, so twist to the story was known too early (IMO).
I have been playing at a very slow pace, exploring and collecting.
Best value I have had from a game in years.

@gcunit the reason I asked because you said NS was one the 1st games you played on the Amiga. I know that NS was part of that Pack.

My friend had that Pack, which was what I wanted, but it was later so ended up with ‘Flight of Fantasy’ Pack. That had ‘Escape From The Planet Of The Robot Monsters’, Rainbow Islands, and F29 Retaliator. They were all very good, but was gutted I didn’t have Batman.
