I waited until the first Mini Direct this year before finally spending my last voucher, at that point I knew there probably wasn't going to be anything I really wanted before July ended.
So Luigi's Mansion it was, I put buying this game off for a little while and man it was worth the wait, what a fun game!
Switch launched on March 3, 2017 and Nintendo said they would be supporting it for 8 years so its going to be a while.
That doesn't mean they couldn't have a Switch 2 out at the same time though. If another console does happen, my number 1 request is it be backwards compatible with the Switch eshop/Physical games.
I feel like they should have just not listened to the loud minority online when they cried about being charged for Mario Run and kept the games non-F2P models.
Nintendo has an amazing line up that would do well on mobile, but after Mario Run they pivoted into gatcha world.
You know they will try to bring a lot of their sports games over, Football, Basketball, Soccer, and more, the Switch is lacking in this area so it would be easy sales for them but not sure how much they will bring this year and/or next year.
I would love to see Mass Effect Trilogy the most.
Other games I think will come in the next 1-2 years would be Dragon Age, Plants vs Zombies, Sims, Mirror's Edge, and/or Need for Speed. Would also be cool to see NBA Jam.
I am all digital on the Switch already so I would be fine with it.
This is the first console that I am all digital with and my only concern is Nintendo's next system will not be backwards compatible, but here is hoping
Edit: Just to mention I have a Samsung 512 GB SD card to help with that, got this on a Black Friday sale for $50.
My first set was drifting so I sent it in to get fixed and while they were being repaired my other set started to drift. Got back the old set fixed, sent in my other set and again my old set was drifting.
Now my newer set is still at Nintendo America for just over 2 months now awaiting for them to re-open to get them back. Once they fix them I will have to send my old set back again. It never ends lol.
Rumor was we were getting two remakes announced at the event on May 5th I think it was. But with that cancelled who knows, but I'm sure they are working on something.
At this time Intelligent Systems have the most employees the company has every had, and I'm sure they are all not just working on Heroes.
I feel bad for the people that already own the game, $40 seems a bit steep. I am happy I waited and am now picking everything up for $60 when the OG price would be $140.
Wow I was excited for the rumors of them bringing this back remastered but skipping the Switch is insane.
I know the other consoles are older but man the Switch is the most selling console right now by a crazy amount. It's like the people that decide these things have no clue about the industry, EA is a good example of that as well but are learning from their mistakes, sorta...
Excited for this game! Can't wait to see what the review says, I might not be able to wait though, would love to play this tonight and at $25 it should easily be worth it.
Makes me wonder how fast we will hear about the next Fire Emblem project they are working on, as we know DLC is probably done for Three House from this point on. A port or remake of an older game? 3DS game? Or a new game, just curious on what is next
Just watched it last night! This was really good, loved the look of it and the story, ending was a little odd but all and all it was great. Hope they make another!
Enjoying the game a lot, excited about the expansion! Currently playing my 2nd and 3rd run (you might understand what I mean lol). This will be a nice break on my days off this week.
@Coach_A Right on point, all game sites use 1-10 ratings always rate 5-10 anyway, and most consider 7 bad, just very odd stuff. 5 star would definitely be better.
Interesting, looking back I pretty much owned every console and the N64 was my favorite non-portable for sure. I did have 5 friends in my neighborhood growing up and we all loved gaming together back then so that was probably why it was so fun!
With them iterating on GPU and Battery already I'm sure they will again and keep the "Switch" going for a long time even if it technically might be a higher spec version that's a lot different at several years later.
This is what I was hoping for, make sure they just keep that eShop tied to whatever they release and I'm happy
Would love to see them bring like a Mass Effect Trilogy over to the Switch and do something with Dragon age. I feel like both those titles would sell well.
Switch pretty much always now. I am a PC gamer, Switch is my only console. Only games I still play on PC are FPS, MOBA, and RTS, ones that pretty much require a mouse imo.
I do hope in future versions of the joy-cons (if they ever happen) they release an analog trigger as racing games are not as good on the Switch due to this simple thing, and before it is said, yes you can use the game cube controller but I play portable 95% of the time.
I'm not sure how to react to this, sure paying for content that should have been in the game sucks so it's nice that they don't charge for it. But sorta feels like they weren't ready to release the game and are now turning it into them being awesome (good PR team?).
Also, no paid expansion/DLC most likely means they will just leave the game after the road map with nothing new to come. Companies cannot work on games for yrs after they released them giving everything away for free, they don't make money that way.
Or they could be selling skins or something to help with the free content like other games. Skins aren't loot boxes.
Edit: Just wanted to say for clarification, I am not saying any of this is true, just seems that way is all. They could be this miracle dev that works on the game for years after release giving everything new away for free, but every time a dev promises everything for free they have something else to make money off of, and that's a good thing, I want them to be able to support the game and themselves.
Personally I feel the 720 handheld/1080 docked is fine. If this gets bumped to 1080 handheld and 4K docked I don't think we would notice the difference in handheld but that is just a personal opinion and I know this is a big want from the community. I don't care either way.
What would I want with a Switch Pro. List below in order.
-Less bezel more screen. The bezel on the Switch is pretty big, at least cut this in half. -The joy cons to have an actual D-Pad on them, I know you can get customs but this should be standard. -Analog triggers on the joy cons please! -longer battery life (I think this will already be a given, updated Switch and Switch Lite got this already) -The new Tegra chip in the updated models, unlocked, or a new GPU that will help support games of the next gen, doesn't have to be the new PS or XBOX quality but enough that porting won't be an absolute NO, example, right now current gens ports are happening though they have to downgrade a bit and that is fine. -Bluetooth
It might seem like I just want better joy cons with this list and that is true, sorta
Software side -I would love to be able to organize my games and have folders. -Friend request system needs a rework. (I have friends that play and due to it being absolute garbage we took over a year to finally add each other) -text and voice chat
I think they deserve it and it is an awesome device that was inspired by the Switch (no matter how many times they say they are unaware of the Switch, we know this is a lie lol).
Issue will be cost. I hope they take this from concept and actually release the device, not saying I would buy it right away but maybe down the road. Just would be hard to justify spending $2k easy on this when the Switch is $300.

Guess it is time for me to pick this up, all DLC (new and old) + Original game is up on the eShop for $60.
Re: Tony Hawk's Rumoured 2020 Video Game Is Sounding Increasingly Likely To Be Real
Of it's on the Switch I'd buy it for sure, I always remember them being so much fun! At least in the early days of the series.
Re: Random: "Games I Want Ported To Nintendo Switch" Twitter Hashtag Goes Viral In Japan
I want Star Fox and F-Zero from Nintendo.
I want Final Fantasy Tactics (all of them) and Tactics Ogre Let us Cling Together from Square.
Would love to see remakes of Fire Emblem games as well (pretty sure this is already happening).
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 2nd)
Surprised Trials of Mana Remake wasn't an option as it just released.
I'm playing Trials of Mana Remake, Samurai Showdown, Bloodstained, and Fire Emblem Warriors.
Re: Street Fighter Producer Says He's Open To More Entries On Nintendo Switch
I would love Street Fighter IV or V (when the exclusive drops). And of course I would never say no to 3 with like some ultimate edition.
Re: Review: Trials of Mana - Old And New Combine To Create A Fine RPG Adventure
Good review and score, better than Metacritics score and I think this is more accurate.
Can't wait to play, already pre-ordered day one BOOM

Re: Video: The Limited Edition Game That Costs More Than A Nintendo Switch
I guess the statue + board game + game are why it is so expensive?
When I backed Divinity Original Sin 2 I got a Statue that was very detailed as well but that was only $150, not $380.... LOL
Re: Here Are The Full Patch Notes For Fire Emblem: Three Houses Version 1.2.0

@Ratchet916 with DxM, it's not being published by Nintendo for PC. It's being published by xseed or something like that.

Re: Goblin Sword Brings Castlevania And Mega Man-Inspired Platforming To Switch Next Week
Just checked US eShop, no sale for launch, at least right now, so $4.99. Wonder if/when that sale starts.
Guess launch day
Re: Goblin Sword Brings Castlevania And Mega Man-Inspired Platforming To Switch Next Week
At $2.99 that is pretty much impulse if you are interested in the game.
I am in the middle of DQ 11, another Fire Emblem run and Bloodstained ROTN right now, but this game looks good, at $2.99 easy decision.
Re: Guide: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For February And March 2020
Great list!
Samurai Shodown is releasing 25 Feb 2020
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics is releasing 04 Feb 2020 for $20
I am still schocked The Dark Crystal is releasing for only $20, good stufff

@PacMang for the season pass yes. Will they release more later though? I am not sure, but for now it is done.
Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses Gets A Fourth House In The Next Wave Of DLC
Great! This game just keeps on giving lol
I still need to finish DQ 11 before I start other paths in this game though so should be SOON.
Also is this it for the season pass or do we still have something coming in Spring that was mentioned before?
Edit: They are calling it wave 4 so just released early, cool!
Re: 505 Games Rolls Out A New Update For Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night
After the last patch and this one I feel the game plays well. I have been enjoying it a lot and it really scratches that SOTN itch, great game
Re: Alienware Reveals Switch-Like Device Capable Of Playing PC Games
@progx If this is priced at 2 or 3 Switch consoles I would be jumping up and down for joy and buy it day one personally.
You cannot buy a PC speced out for gaming at that price so this would be the best gaming PC for price ever made in the history of PC's.
My bet is the i3 version, can barley run modern games will be about $1,000, i5 will come in at $1,500, and i7 will come in at $2,000.
This thing will be better speced than a Surface Pro and the Surface Pro costs a lot of money, up to $2k at the top end.
Re: Samurai Shodown Launches In The West Next Month On The Nintendo Switch

Re: "Around 10 New Games" Will Be Revealed At The Game Awards 2019
I am hoping for Star Fox or F-Zero as I do everytime there is a possibility of a game announcement. So far no luck, but that's ok
