Ubisoft? A sale?
Are you freakin' kidding me!?!?
GUYS! GET IN HERE UBISOFT ARE HAVING A SALE, COME CHECK THESE PRI....
Hang on a minute...
Everyone loves Black Flag, but I just want an AC2/Brotherhood collection instead.
Brotherhood's PvP multiplayer was underrated@Ulysses it wouldn't surprise me if they end up porting The Ezio Collection to Switch at some point.
@VenomousAlbino
Oh that's right, I forgot all about the Ezio Collection. I loved the early games, especially the first one. I know some people had problems with AC1, but I loved everything about it, and it was one of my most impactful gaming experiences on 360.
Sorry but Black Flag is far superior to AC2. Also anyone who hasn't gotten both South Park games the 50+ times they have been on sale, needs to do that. They are both fun RPGS that are crazy funny
StarLink really is worth it! I have the toys here, got a lot when they were cheap. At first I thought it would be only cool to play with Fox, but I ended up playing with the original characters the most because I liked them and their backstories and interactions a lot.
Ubisoft sales are like fine wines. Each one has unique subtle differences. Notice how this week's offering has hints of Starlink, without being bogged down by the fruitier notes from Mario+Rabbids or Just Dance titles.
@Old_Man_Nintendo
To each their own, but for me the setting is the most important factor to an Assassin's Creed game, and the gorgeous Italian architecture is far superior to Black Flag's environments.
@derdennis
Get the digital deluxe version and you don't have to really worry about the toys because you get enough characters, weapons and ships to have a good time
@Ulysses
I'll give you that, but the combat and overall story in Black Flag is more fun in my opinion. I wish I didn't play Unity at launch and waited for the patches because I would have had a more fun time in France that I did. I hope Syndicate is the next to come
I was waiting for rebel collection to go beneath 25
@Old_Man_Nintendo their both the same one just has the toys. He probably likes the toys as I collect myself and do to. In the end they'll be worth far more than the 4.99 I paid for them at best buy.
@Old_Man_Nintendo
Unity's crowd density and sheer scale of its architecture was ahead of its time, and in fact would benefit the most from a PS5 remaster/remake.
Same sale, but not sure I have time for it. Rebel Collection is awesome though, must buy.
The problem with the eshop download of Starlink is that it takes up a ton of space on your memory card. I'd rather pay more for a physical copy. The problem with the game itself is that it's so confusing with all the toys and different editions. Ubisoft thinks that it can just rely on Youtube channels to explain all that stuff, but no matter how many videos people watch, they'll never be able to pay attention long enough to get all the stupid info. The videos are so boring (because the topic itself is uninteresting) that I nod off after a couple of minutes. Games should just have one version, without any extra toys and nonsense.
@Old_Man_Nintendo
Unity is definitely worth revisiting after the patch.
@Ulysses I loved AC1 too. Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.
@gcunit
I loved the combat, the minimalistic gear and the biblical setting. I also loved the [not modern but near-future] sci-fi storyline. I believe even though it was the most "intrusive" in AC1, it was implemented the best. Every other game treated it like an afterthought, hanging over Ubisoft's head with transparent bashfulness.
I'm surprised that no one is mentioning that Mario + Rabbids is not on sale.
Nintendo Life should only let us know when Ubisoft isn't having a sale...
I really wish the two games in Assassin's Creed: The Rebel Collection could be purchased separately. While Black Flag is an excellent game, I already have it on the Wii U and have no real desire to double dip.
It's hard to tell - but I think Ubisoft;s 'sale' prices are the normal' prices now – and occasionally they jack the price up just for kicks and to pretend they they have sales sometimes.
@TheWingedAvenger I believe the physical for Starlink requires a sizeable download as Ubisoft cheaped out on the cart size.
Ubisoft really wants to sell me Rayman Legends. Need to save up some money first for the big titles tho
I doubt that anybody buys Ubisoft games for the regular price anymore. Their games are on sale 30+ weeks a year.
@RPGamer It's more than average and it's a massive game so if u r slightly interested then u shud go 4 it, at that pricing u can't really go wrong...
They should just post when Ubisoft does not have a sale, would be a lot less posts
Just got the Rebel Collection from Best Buy for $20 so I'm good.
Had Starlink physically and none of the toys... traded it. It was really cool at first, but it wasn’t holding me. Even with Fox. The idea of buying absolutely every ship, character and weapon really turned me off too. I have both AC3 and 4 on Wii U, they were way cheap back then, and I need to play them more. AC4 was $5 at one point. Maybe I’ll start over on Switch someday, my library is already so huge. Rayman Legends, I own on Wii U, Switch, and PS+... and haven’t beaten it on any of them. Lol. I was so excited for the game when it was originally going to be a Wii U exclusive.
Is there similar for Europe?
I just want a remake of AC 1 and a Switch version of brotherhood and revelations. I miss when the Isu made sense and the game was about the assassins and the guild and figuring out the Isu. And since AC: Thor of War edition looks worse than AC:Sparta I could use... you know what? Let me see if brotherhood is bc on xbox one.
On topic: I might pick up rogue. Annoyed ill be stuck with 4 as well though.
Wow, just one new this gen game and the rest all ports.
I've been really enjoying Raymond Legends, as someone who cares about thoughtful level design. It's really well made so far.
I really enjoyed Starlink, well worth picking up and Rayman Legends is a must play.
Some great games here. AC3 runs well on Switch, for those concerned about performance. Still haven't picked up Rebel Collection, probably opt for physical.
@Old_Man_Nintendo Once starlink digital deluxe hits <= $20, I'm in. It's just a matter of time at this point.
@derdennis I haven't finished the game yet (thanks to my Smash Bros. addiction) but most of the characters do seem interesting and likable...except Levi.
@Old_Man_Nintendo I need to get Stick of Truth but I just bought Origins on my X1 with all the DLC. Also, my backlog is ridiculous enough as it is.
Ubisoft, you doing okay???
Nothing that really interests me in this sale, I think ubisoft games are always on sale more or less
@Benji80 I just never devote the time. Other games and priorities keep getting in the way. Every time I’ve gotten it, I’ve said, “I know this is a great game, I need to beat it.” Then, however, I get pulled back into something else. Lol.
Rayman Legends and Child of Light are real good and priced low enough to stash in the backlog if you’ve never played them. They age pretty well due to the art style. I have both on Wii U and I’m always tempted to push them along to another console generation...
another day, another Ubisoft sale.
Look the biweekly Ubi sale!!!
To be fair, my youngest son had credit on his eShop account and pulled the trigger on Rayman. We beat it on Wii U but he's been wanting to play it again on the Switch.
@derdennis Agreed, Starlink blew all my expectations out of the water. You can tell they really cared about this game's world and its lore. It's not a perfect game, but it's a true passion project with as much soul crammed into it as they could possibly fit. If they did the marketing a bit better then it probably wouldn't be as overlooked as it is.
@TheWingedAvenger Are there more than 2 versions, standard and deluxe with the standard version being the same as retail and deluxe has all characters, weapons and ships included?
I bought the deluxe version a year ago and never had to look up any YouTube video?!
I'd rather play Watch_Dogs on the go, but Rayman and Child of Light it is then.
@Enigk
I don't know the figures, but I'm sure this game undersold. You can't sell a lot when you cheap out on cartridges and confuse your audience with what the game includes and requires. I didn't buy the game because I thought I had to buy toys in order for the game to be fun. I watched a video hoping to clarify things, but the video was so boring I got distracted by something else, and in the end I just bought another game.
When is europe?
