Those are all stuck in purgatory if they don't ever make a way to have GameCube games available.

There was a way to fix the voices in the original, but I forgot what it was. Either way, the original voice acting on 1 was NOT great. Origins was, though. Shame it's not an option on either.

Game Boy and Game Boy Color added to NSO. GBA added to NSO expansion. Switch's successor revealed. Metroid Prime 4 moved to new console.

KI Gold isn't a very good port of KI2. There is a ton of input lag compared to the arcade, and the blue effect the N64 introduces makes it look a tad worse. Try the arcade version and see how much better it is.

@JuanRdzpr @Bucky Wow, that's my thread. Surreal to see it being spread. I don't have the expansion pass myself, so it's good to see that it functions as I imagined.

Sad for me, even though I feel he outstayed his welcome. The original series was THE childhood show for me, and I watched it here and there until Advanced, but dropped it after they dropped the original cast. I'll definitely be watching every episode of this 11 part finale.

Meh. People complain when games aren't enhanced, and when they do get enhanced and side effects like this happen, they still complain.

Mega Man 4 is also probably my favorite of the NES games. The level design and technical prowess is really underappreciated.

@FroZtedFlake I stuck with the game for a long time due to it being one of my first 3D games. I think I had to use GameShark to unlock anything that wasn't the cannon minigame XD

The US manual uses the Japanese box art. So, we get both worlds over here.

And yeah... the character designs are kind of awful, as nostalgic as this game is for me.

@wanghosom It's not gatekeeping. This series is the closest that the JRPG genre has to a Marvel Cinematic Universe. You can certainly play different games in the series in a bubble and comprehend what's going on just fine, but the impact of certain plot events won't be felt as fully if you haven't experienced certain things firsthand.

@CaptChaos There's a relatively simple way to give this modern controls on Switch. You just have to change some settings in-game and on your Nintendo Switch profile. The only caveat is that movement will only be in 8 directions, but analog aiming will feel pretty much entirely modern.

@AG_Awesome There is also a way to give it completely modern controls. The only issue is that this method is only compatible with dual joycons and not in handheld mode. It's also convoluted as all hell and probably not worth the trouble over just using 8 way movement. Also, Turok controls is just setting 1.2.

Using the same art for the main character, but shrinking the head, was an odd design choice.

I no longer have my collection, but my rarest Nintendo game was a complete copy of Pokemon Box, including all paper, stickers, and memory card.

I don't get this obsession with graphics. Games come out all the time with sound technology as old as PS1 games. And gameplay more outdated than a PS2 game. Or games that have very little gameplay in between cutscenes. Guaranteed the whiners wouldn't say a thing if this was a game that looked like God of War and it was just one long quick time event.

Got the original on NES in 1993 I think, the value pack version. Then got Link's Awakening DX, and then Wind Waker. Also rented OoT, but I couldn't get past the Great Deku Tree as a kid, so that doesn't count lol

@OldManHermit The thing about that cabinet is it includes EVERY Capcom developed Marvel fighting game, not just MvC2. It includes all of the games that led up to it, starting with X-Men: Children of the Atom. That surprised me, because the previous console release just included 2 of them.

Meh, 90% of PC games play better with a modern controller. Even the classic rereleases have features that can only be accessed with buttons not on the original controllers, like savestates and speed modulation on the Genesis games. There's better options for more traditional control methods out already.
