Re: Nintendo Download: 30th December (North America)

@masterLEON I miss the times that DLC was released months or even years after the game to breathe new life into it. At least that's how I understood add-ons for PC games in the 1990s. For all I know, the Tomb Raider add-ons for PC could have come out the very next day, but that's not how I remember it.

@masterLEON Then it would have made sense to release it as a standalone game. I remembered that Deathsmiles I & II is a port of two old-ish games a few hours after I made that post but didn't feel like coming back to correct it yet. My issue with same-day DLC is that I am sick to death of it being a constant thing to the point that it annoys me even when it's not tacked on to a new game. Maybe it's compulsive anger or something. Is jaded the right word?

I was considering Deathsmiles I & II despite the $40 price, but releasing add-on content so close to the date of the main game is a real turn-off for me, especially at $25. I know I don't have to buy the extra content, but I still find the practice sleazy and makes me wonder if the content was originally planned to be included in the game to begin with. Just program the goddamn game and develop the extras later like they used to to in PC games. Everything is ***** "tier" now and it's annoying!

The trailer implies that you can ram other players but doesn't make it crystal clear. It's one of my favorite things to do in F-Zero X, Sleeping Dogs, and most of the Burnout games. Frankly (and I may have said this before), I'd be satisfied with remastered ports of F-Zero X (plus the 64DD content), F-Zero GX, and F-Zero AX. I know the chances of that ever happening are slim at best, but a girl can dream.

@HammerGalladeBro Thanks for the info. After reading your reply, I decided to bite the bullet and get the Deluxe Pack as well. Some of my teeth hurt, but I'm mostly pleased with my purchase. I wish there were more modes to play with the various themes but that's about it.

Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd December (North America)

@HammerGalladeBro I almost bought the Unlock DLC, but then I remembered getting screwed by Sony in DC Universe Online and I'm until I can get confirmation that the single player content can be used without a Switch Online membership and that I can use the themes I bought in those modes, I'm steering clear.

Re: Pac-Man Museum+ Brings 14 Games In The Series To Switch

DrDaisy

@Burning_Spear It's kinda odd that it's available on PS4 & Xbox One but not Wii U or Switch. Ms. Pac-Man hasn't been on a Nintendo system since GameCube or Game Boy Advance. Technically, you can play Ms. Pac-Man on backwards compatible Wiis, but that's beside the point. None of the consoles seem to have the version I want anyway. I got used to the high-speed one typically found in arcades.

Re: Pac-Man Museum+ Brings 14 Games In The Series To Switch

DrDaisy

I know there are many ways to play Ms. Pac-Man but it's a glaring omission from yet another collection. I wish they would sort out whatever legal issues they have or come to the same agreement they had which allowed the game on Xbox One and PS4 as well as sort of being included in the previous Pac-Man Museum.

Re: Twitch Is Now On The Nintendo Switch

DrDaisy

I guess it's better than nothing. I'm not surprised that you can't stream games from it though; the Switch can barely run a lot of games as it is without devoting extra memory to an app in the process. I often wish Nintendo would give their "innovation" a rest for a while and make a system that can actually compete on a technical level with the competition.
