Ever wonder what Fox McCloud and his animal fighter pilot friends get up to when they're off-duty? Your questions may be answered in the form of a Minecraft build, because within berg_'s gigantic, to-scale recreation of the Great Fox mothership from Star Fox Zero, we can finally peek into the lives of Slippy, Falco, Peppy and Fox.
Much like other sci-fi vessels, like the Starship Enterprise and the Death Star, there are all sorts of options for both recreation and work: Swimming pools, cafeterias, shooting ranges, and even farms. But it's not just pretty to look at — there's full redstone lighting, the bridge has control over the ship's functional cannons, and there are drop bays for the Blue Marine sub and the Landmaster tank.
Berg_ says it took a year to finish the build, created entirely from scratch, and that they had "no idea" that it would take that long. Nevertheless, "I'm glad I went on this journey," says berg_, "and I'm excited to finally share it with the world."
If you'd like to take a proper look, the map is available for download on Planet Minecraft. Just please don't do a barrel roll in a ship that big.

Hold me, I might faint!
Now someone just needs to make a detailed model of Krystal in her Assault outfit (my favorite of her three outfits), and then I'll be happy.
Pretty neat. Years ago I saw someone had made the Enterprise D from Star Trek TNG, which was equally impressive.
Wow! That's amazing!
Why not develop something like that in CAD or other professional 3D modeling programs? Could actually develop a real, marketable skill set along the way too.
Funny how this took a year when the Smash stage in Smash Wii U also took a year. And then didn't come back for Ultimate.
Great effort on this though. I don't play minecraft but I can appreciate this.
I honestly expected more of this to happen after the pandemic lockdown went into effect.
Not just with Minecraft but also Animal Crossing.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain when Nintendo takes down the servers, etc. etc. etc.
I've definitely fallen in this rabbit hole with Minecraft ideas (though none of them turn out nearly this cool). One idea can turn into countless hours then questioning why I'm putting in so much effort.
This is seriously impressive work.
I could’ve done that in a day
Is that Krystal in the left screenshot with Fox, Falco, and Slippy?
This is neat, but do the Star Fox team really sleep in one giant bedroom? Look at about 0:40. Can you imagine Peppy's snoring and Slippy complaining about how counting tadpoles wasn't helping him sleep? I can think of someone who would be headed to the launch bay quicker than you could say "Falco, where ya going?"
Also I'm deducting one medal for the inclusion of Krystal, but I'll put my flying fox stamp on this nonetheless.
This is really impressive, wow! He did a superb job with this work, very well done! Bravo! 👏🏼
@Rosalinho that white room is the infirmary
@DaTrashMan good thing I still have my SolidWorks license. 😅
@berg_ D'oh, of course it is. Sorry for that brainfart. Guess ROB64's been programmed with medical subroutines.
