This looks like a Kirby game that's inspired by the atmosphere of Darksiders III with the play style of Super Mario 3D World. Kirby is no stranger to going off the beaten path with games like Dream Course, Avalanche, Pinball, Block Ball, Air Ride, and Star Stacker, but it should be interesting to see how Boo Diddley's pink cousin fares in an adventure game that's not a side-scroller.

That game looks interesting, but the term "wholesome" leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

Is this only in Europe again?

Right now (September 11, 2021 12PM Pacific), you can get Immortals Fenyx Rising™ Gold Edition for $20 less than the standard edition.

At this point, our choices are "rip-offs" or this. All of the good ideas seem to have been done.

If these were parodies, I suppose this could be feasibly challenged, but when it otherwise comes to profiting from using characters from copywritten and trademarked intellectual properties without rights holders' permission this outcome is an almost certainty.

I hope attack isn't mapped to the A button, or if it is, that it can be remapped to Y. I know buttons can be remapped on the Switch's menu but that also makes navigation awkward.

I was hoping this would make it's way to Switch while I was playing it on Xbox One. Tetris 99 is great and all, but this is would definitely fill a gap in the Switch's library.
I know they won't, but I still hope they'll add an option to mount the unit on our heads to play VR-style like the PS4 version. Switch head mounts do exist... even if they aren't officially supported.

I'd rather have a Metroid theme since there isn't one already, but I'll try to get this anyway since I'm a compulsive collecting completionist.

I didn't see an Arcade Archives release listed for this week so I thought maybe they were going to start skipping. It turns out this week's release is NOVA2001 which looks like another flying shooter. Hopefully Violent Storm, Metamorphic Force, or Mystic Warriors will be coming soon... And hopefully still they'll be uncensored. I can just picture Yuri being given pants in Mystic Warriors or not being able to pick piglets up and turn them into footballs anymore in Violent Storm.

Too bad Kate Allen and Twintelle were never in the Smash series. I think they would have made better stand-ins for Storm.

I think more realistic representations of cartoon characters are typically unsettling. I've seen a few of Mario, and I'm not even referring to Ron Jeremy.

@Specter_of-the_OLED Personally, I prefer the gameplay in the Street Fighter games and think they would be better with blood and gore. As far as I know though, the closest I can get to that combination is the Killer Instinct series.

@Fat_Pun Because when a third-party exclusive is on a Sony platform, it stays on a Sony platform. For some reason, that doesn't tend to apply as much to Nintendo and Microsoft (especially when it comes to Capcom), which probably explains why so many Sony fans have such annoying entitlement issues.

Personally, I'm disappointed that they censored the Japanese version. I was buying this expecting arcade-perfect ports, and if they're gonna start taking stuff out, I'm gonna be far less interested in the Arcade Archives series. I hate censorship regardless of what is being censored... Okay, so I might not mind so much if they put some underwear on Kinta Kokuin in Power Instinct 2 if that game ever gets ported, but that's about it! I'd rather have covering his junk up as an option anyway. I'm sure HAMSTER could have made the gimps optional in Crime Fighters 2, but you know how some "gamers" are; they don't want anyone having access to certain content because it will apparently turn people into bigots. 🙄

Personally, I would have preferred 3D remakes of Final Fantasy 5 & 6 on DS rather than 3 & 4 because I never really liked 3 or 4.

It would make a lot of sense to have these on Nintendo Switch, but so would it have been to port the PS1 remasters to 3DS (especially with the GBA enhancements for FF5&6) and they never did that so I'm not holding my breath. They did port the first three games from the less famous Mana series though, so who knows?

If it can beat Super Mario Bros., I'll be impressed.

I'll have to test this on a PC emulator first. I remember it being fun, but I also remembered Crime Fighters being good as well and when I started playing it last week, I found it absolutely terrible. Enemies were incredibly cheap and you could hardly ever pick a weapon up without it being immediately knocked out of your hand.

I thought I remembered a Crazy Castle game for Game Boy Color. That doesn't account for the original Game Boy and disappearing cartridge though.

As long as people keep buying from scalpers, scalpers are gonna keep pulling this crap. Gotta have willpower, patience, and if you have the technical skills, a way to invent something that can fight scalper bots. I'm almost surprised there are no laws being discussed to ban scalper bots, but most politicians probably don't care about anyone such bots affect.

I think I'll wait until after the warranty expires on mine before I try that. They haven't been giving me any trouble lately anyway.

@Dirty0814 Bleed also lets you assign jumping to a face button which is appreciated but it's also awkward to aim using the same hand digit (not sure if the thumb counts as a finger) as jumping. The Bleed series are good games, just not great for me personally. I think I'll have to pass on this game.

I want to be excited for this, but if it's more than $40, I'll have to pass. Besides, I'm not very good at Cruis'n games anyway. A difficulty setting might change my mind.
